So my grandparents dog has had a problem since June of this year. Her back leg she limps on. Weve taken her to the vet so many times but still theres no reason the vet could give us about her leg. Now tell me, tonight, she has labored breathing, wont eat, has a low white blood cell count, and drags her back leg now. How could you not find anything? From June until now, how the hell could you not know what is wrong with her and why the hell now did you just recommend we go to the ER. Instead of calling us back for a checkup and wasting my poor dogs life not figuring out what the problem is, how about you do your job. This disgusts me. Its been months and just now you tell us to take her to the ER when its too late. We brought her to YOU. YOU were supposed to help us but you waited until it was too late to tell us to take her to an ER. It shouldnt have come to this. I feel like you dont care enough about animals. Like you were just calling them back because they didnt understand that it costs money each visit. Dispicable and disgusting.

My two precious dolls (kitties) received excellent care by this superlative vet when ill. Dr. Schpero is extremely professional, experienced and state-of-the-art. I like that he performs such tasks as taking blood, etc. in front of us instead of bringing them to another room. This is the first vet and office I have been to that follows up on the health of the *person*, meaning they call you to ask how the pet is doing and also to report results of tests. No nagging calling the office and waiting for them to call back. Also, I had an emergency situation and had never been to this vet, yet they squeezed me in on a half-day. Even if I moved out of Derby, I would still use this great vet. Extremely pleased and I am a tough customer.

I almost did not go to this vet because of the warnings about cost but I am glad that I ignored them. First, this doctor found important things with my dog that two other vets did not (he had seem them in the previous month as he was a rescue). Also, my dog just had a tooth extraction with general anesthesia and the total cost was less than $150. Considering a 30 min walk is $20 and a day boarding is $35, I thought this was more than reasonable. It seemed they were mostly charging for materials and reasonably charging for his medical expertise. I am glad that I found a vet that is clinically competent and very caring.

This is a GREAT PLACE!. He is honest but caring! I dont see it as being too exspensive. I had to put my cat down which is so hard and he came to home !! My cat HATED getting in the carrier and going to the vet i have 2 others cats they are all inside cats. Having him come to my home was very comforting knowing i didnt have to put her threw that in her final momements and that were in the comfort of our home! I really appreciate that he had done that ! -Thank you

Ive brought my cats to see Dr. Jeff since about 1993, and I cant imagine going elsewhere. The staff are friendly and extremely knowledgeable, and Dr. Jeff is the absolute best. My cats stay indoors, because Ive found that the surest way to keep the vet bills down, but for those times when something must be done, Im just glad hes five minutes away. Also importantly, he has always returned my calls when Ive had an after-hours crisis.

Well I dont even know how to put this. We had a cat who became.a diabetic and this man helped her live an extra 6 years of a happy and healthy life. sadly one day she became.very.lame and helped us with every test he could do in office. we found out her kidneys shut down and well u can. guess the rest. hes an amazing vet and my.future pets will all be seen by him regardless of what others say

EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE. It is known that Doctor Shapiro is expensive and he continues to be. They charge for stool samples, but give free shots with vouchers. It doesnt make any sense to how these people operate. DO NOT GO HERE FOR YOUR WALLETS SAKE.

Very rude service very expensive seemed a lil racist the lil grey haired lady needs customer service training. I spent over 300 dollars in a month and was treated very badly told to wIt outside in heat I will never go back or recommend this vet
