My family stated using Ansonia Westfield about 3 years ago. I worked at an veterinarian in stratford for 19 years, my doc retired and I chose not to use the new vet. Fast forward, we had a new dog that we adopted from a family that couldnt keep her. The excitement and happiness of our new dog went bad very quickly. She became sick and I called Ansonia Westfield about 20 minutes before they closed. (I called them because they took care credit.) After checking with the doctors I was told if I could be there in next 5-10 minutes I was welcome to come in. For the next couple of days we had some visits and check in calls on our dogs symptoms. Some of those calls were the doctor calling us! In the end our girl needed to be euthanized but the staff at Ansonia Westfield did everything they could to help our little girl and my family. They treated us with respect and compassion that you dont see much anymore especially with most veterinarian offices being owned by vca or Banfield, corporate and veterinary dont mix well most of the time. We have been patients at Ansonia Westfield since. The staff tries to be as accommodating as possible, everyone is knowledgeable and compassionate. The office and yard are clean and smell fresh. If youre looking for a new pet hospital give them a call.

After looking for a Veterinarian for a few months for our Dog and Cat we found Ansonia Westfield Veterinary Hospital which is close to us in Shelton. They are very reasonable when it comes to costs for various procedures and they care about the animals they treat rather than just care about only the money. The reason I point that out is we had a Vet for over 10 years in Stratford that once the original Veterinarian retired and they hired a new one and they became a money hungry, non caring vet to bring our animals to. We are very happy with Ansonia Westfield Vet and will continue to go there. BTW, our dog is 14 years old and has a lot of health issues due to his age and they are great when it comes to helping us keep him comfortable.

I went to this practice because Dr Manjunath was highly recommended to me. My dog received excellent care . Now apparently my dogs care has been turned over to dr Pooja who is fairly new in the practice . My dog has some heart issues and I felt better when she was in dr Manjunath care . I was never told that she was switched over to dr pooja nor do I know much about her as far as experience . My dog was given meds which I found an alarming number of negative articles on the danger and interactions . I find this a total disrespect for us to have been switched over with out even having a conversation and getting my approval on this . Office staff is totally unfriendly .

as of right now im giving this vet 5 stars i have a last min appointment tomorrow afternoon seeing my normal vet cant see me due to no appointments for my dog who might possibly have a ear infection in one of his ears from the phone call the doctor seemed very nice an professional i was told by a few people not to go t this vet but i can not base the visit off of others because every animal is different so im giving them a chance to see my dog as a new patient tomorrow i will come back to this web site an change my review once i had my dog seen praying this vet does a good job

An absolute angel. Our dog suffered a back injury and we had to take her to the vet hospital at night. We called Dr. Manju (in tears and practically hysterical) and left a message for him to call us back. He called back within 5 minutes and guided us through such a difficult time. His opinion was one we could trust and confide in. He even called the Vet hospital where our dog was and spoke to the vet there about our dogs specific medical conditions.He is truly a compassionate professional and goes above and beyond. We are so grateful for his empathy and support.

I have been taking all my animals to see Dr Manj for 30 plus years. I always get the utmost care. His breadth of knowledge is extensive and I absolutely trust his methods and above all that he is gentle and thorough with my pet. He will give you all the time you need to ask as many questions as you need answers to. You always feel that he is invested in giving your pet the best care possible. His daughter has obviously followed in her dads footsteps and is first rate also. Cant recommend this clinic any higher.

Today I came in for the first time with my kitty on very short notice, and they were able to get us in. She had hurt her paw and Dr. Seetharaman was absolutely wonderful. She made sure my kitty felt safe and was calm before giving her injections, and was also informative about some available vaccines for outdoor/indoor cats. I have had bad luck with my past vet and was happy to find a place full of animal lovers and genuinely kind and helpful people. I will be returning in the future for any medical needs.

Drs. Manju and Pooja are the best! One day kitty was on antibiotic for a wound. At the follow up appointment, Dr. Manju noticed that kitty had plaque build up. Since kitty was already on antibiotic, Dr. M just popped the plaque off with his thumbnail. He cheated himself out of several hundred dollars for a teeth cleaning, but saw the opportunity (docile cat) and took advantage. I certainly appreciate the savings! We have 3 cats and they always get the best care there.

We have a dog who was adopted to us as "special needs," which was a behavioral problem where she is extremely reactive to other dogs and sometimes people when shes leashed. She is a sweetheart in our home but we were concerned about the environment at the vet. Dr. Pooja was extremely helpful, kind, and patient with us. She worked with us and made the entire visit a smooth affair. Our dog loved her, and were very happy to bring her back.

We had found a kitten who must of been hurt by someone or ran over by a car. They gave her a chance and kept her overnight even though things looked bad for her. However she came through and she was on her feet in less than a week. I am blessed that they were there to help when another vet simply said put her down.

Vets and techs always helpful and concerned about pets well being. They board their clients if there is room... Always feel safe about the place for my small dog who is 15 years old. One would never guess she is 15 except for cataracts...
