Im surprised at the other reviews. Granted I have not had any extreme procedures that cost a lot of money but Ive had my puppy for 3 months and recently he has started going 3 times a week for 1/2 day doggy day care once he had his shots. The day care staff and the vets have been taking care of him giving him his shots and check ups. I took him for his first couple of appointments but since then for shots they just go down and get him during day care and deliver him back there. They write up a nice report for me when I pick him up and he seems to be a very happy camper to me. The day care staff tell me what dogs he was playing with and how he was playing. They also send me reminders and updates through my online pet portal to keep me on top of what shots come next. And they process all of his insurance paperwork for me and Ive just been getting reimbursement checks in the mail from the insurance company without having to do a thing. He loves doggy day care people and has been learning great social manners. (He is very comfortable around all dogs because of them). I cant say enough about the top-shelf service Ive been getting. I havent had to buy a lot of expensive medicines or anything like that. For right now since he is growing I have been buying my monthly heart worm through them but even they said once he is full grown I could buy online. I have nothing but nice things to say about them. I feel my puppy is in very caring hands while there. Ive dealt with Dr. Staudacher and Dr. Hersey and both have been very kind, thorough and informative. I think I have been getting tremendous value.

Our pets have been going to Roaring Brook Veterinary Hospital for over 35 years. Each experience has been one which exemplified how much they care for both the animals as well as the humans who bring them. No matter if the issue is extremely serious or simply a question -- each issue is treated with the greatest respect and care. When need arises for a specialist, they are extremely selective in suggesting the best outside special care available, allowing the final decisions as to what care is provided to the owner. Frequent calls were made to check that progress was being made by our pet. As pet care has progressed Roaring Brook has expanded their care to meet new needs. Boarding is available, as are grooming, doggie day care, puppy school and other training, as well as the newest of specialized treatments. I strongly recommend their services! The staff is fantastic (and my dog delights in going to his doctors!) It should be noted that not only is the animal very well taken care of, but the needs of the human are thoughtfully addressed. When we had to put down our last Golden, we were invited to be a part of both the planning and the process. This gave both us and our pet a sense of calm and comfort. If my dog were able to write his review, I am sure it would be just on these same lines!

We have been going to Roaring Brook for at least 15 years. They have taken care of our dogs and cockatiel for all of that time. We had tried multiple vets in West Hartford, Avon and Farmington before hand and were never satisfied until we found Roaring Brook. Dr.Staudacher, Dr. Hersey and Dr VanderGiessen are tremendous. The attention and care we receive is wonderful. Issues and options are always explained. Prices are neither more nor less than market so I would call them fair. When you consider the care you are getting versus other vets than the prices are a good value. If there is a serious issue with our dogs (cyst, stitches, etc.) we always receive multiple follow up calls at home. They really do care! The staff is always helpful and efficient. We also use the kennel. I know that if our pets have an issue during our vacation they will be taken care of by the best. We go on vacation without worrying about them. Gina gives them a bath before we pick them up, they get all their necessary shots and updates while on their "vacation" and it is all very convenient (especially when you have more than one animal boarding). We love Roaring Brook! To reiterate what someone else said "They are the best in the Farmington Valley"! Plus....our dogs love it there too! That says it all!

I cant say enough about Dr. Malouin and the staff at Roaring Brook Veterinary Hospital. They are always smiling, welcoming and comforting to both my dog, and to me! I have had occasions to walk in without an appointment, and they have accommodated me as soon as they are able. I have always received follow-up phone calls to see how my dog is doing, if there has been any issue that required medical attention. I have even received follow-up phone calls to let me know that everything is great! The staff are all very knowledgeable, and they take their time with me if I have any questions or concerns, and Ive always felt they had mine and my dogs best interest at heart! I have referred this team to friends of mine, who have also been pleased with the care and attention theyve received. Its very comforting to know the staff is there for us whenever we need them!

We had a bunny and this is the only veterinary hospital in the area with staff specifically trained in exotic animals. Dr. Hersey-Benner, their exotic animal specialist, is excellent! She was extremely knowledgeable and gentle with our bunny. The few times he was sick before he died, she explained our options and respected our decisions. I would also say that at least on one occasion she went above and beyond the call of duty to assist us with our dearly departed bun. The facility is clean and bright, the receptionists were helpful and their website is comprehensive. Not having taken any cats or dogs to this place, I cannot speak to the other veterinary staff or their competence with cats and dogs, but if you have an exotic pet and live in the Farmington Valley area, this is the place to take them.

Most compassionate and knowledgeable vets and staff. Before vet visit dragon couldnt open eyes..was not doing to hot...after leaving vet she had eyes open they helped her and explained procedures and treatment with me as well as diagnosis and follow up care on prognosis. I am happy because they were professional and while I paid for everything it appears they waived intial appointment fee which also was helpful since after military injury have only been able to work part time and they take care credit. First time a vet visit was peaceful and not traumatic for me or animal. Keeping as vet they care about animals over everything and if yours is like family to you..then you will appreciate them as much as I do. Thank you all at Roaring brook from the bottom of my heart...truely.

We have an English Bulldog Gabe who was supposed to be a foster that we were supposed to place in a family but couldnt because he needed to be nutered and he was diagnoised with kidney failure we have had him now for going on 3 years an he belongs to us now than God he is a great dog but the 3 other vets that we had taken him to were not really helpful and frightened of him. Roaring Brook took the bull by the horns and gave us new hope which we didnt have before, Gabe we handled we care and not w/out resistance but we all made it thru and hopefully his diagnosis will come back as workable. I highly recommend Roaring Brook they have everything it take to meet the needs of even the toughest Guys like Gabe. Thank You for new hope Roaring Brook.
