Writing reviews is not my favorite pastime, but taking tender care of my family of dogs are. I made my first appointment to "try" this new animal center in Lakewood Ranch, Fl for their grooming services after finding a coupon in a local paper. When I first called to make an appointment I was asked if my dogs vaccines were up to date and I replied yes they are. I am a believer in a holistic approach combined with current animal care practices to care for my dogs. Today after trying to locate this site, being 3 minutes late, I called to say all I could see was an animal hospital. The young sounding girl said abrubtly" that is where we are located" I smiled while in conversation and said ok I guess I am here and I will be right in. When I entered the building, a very nice and new lobby, a young girl didnt say hello but instead in a very rude tone said my dogs werent up to date, without a smile and without even acknowledging thanks for my efforts in trying them. I denied that and I asked her to contact my veterinarians office. In front of me she spoke to the receptionist at my vets office and curtly replied :"Just like I said" She told me my dogs were not up to date that they did not have their distemper nor bortadella vacs. I then replied I will not give them these vacinnations for I do not ever board them and would not even think of boarding since it is a very insensitive way of dog watching out of the confines of their own homes. She told me they will not be accepted. My dogs were already nervous as I had never seen them like this..all because of this young ladys poor attitude. As I was walking out of the door and after my almost 3 year old adopted and rescued terrier plopped a very upsetting release of feces, I walked back after offering to clean up and said this is the first time I have ever been treated so rudely and I at least should have been called to tell me they would not be taken for grooming, before I made this trip. I had my own pet sitting service, and as I concur with the integrity for the safety and health issues , these are overkill and are redundant. I will spread the word that this "Ranch Animal Hospital and Resort" is not the place for pets when their employees are not and cannot even put new clients at ease. Shame on them! There are other pure animal doctors who take the time to make sure they hire the right "pet people" and this place is not the right one! I say "STAY AWAY"

Loyal customer for many years. Called to have a script called in early in the morning. Went to pick it up at 5:30 pm and it was never called in. Then was informed I would have to bring my 14 year old dog to the office for an exam. I called for meds she has been on already. I could have brought her in but she needs the meds to keep her from going crazy. She hates the car and by the time we get to the vet her temp is at 104 and they had to put ice packs on her. In her file. I explained it when I called for the meds. But they let the whole day go by no call. I had to call them to find out why I was at pharmacy with no script called in. Now its 6 pm and everything is closed. So off to the emergency vet for twice the money and my poor dog has to suffer. Great customer service. Not... Find another Vet. Hire competent staff that can pick up a phone and let a customer know youre dropping the ball so he or she can get their pet the care it deserves.

Went to vet because she was eating and sugar was high. Was charged over 100$ for her to tell me nothing. She was suppose to do an exam. Seen the female vet at animal ER. Today she still wasnt any better. Took my yorkie to Kindness Animal in Bradenton within minutes they realized she was constipated and bowel was blocked. Which should have been notice last night at Lakewood Ranch ER. But it was closing time and Vet. Was in hurry to get my money and send us packing. Had poor experience wouldnt recommend this ER. VET. to anyone. Poor excuse for Veterinary Hospital...

This veterinary office/hospital/boarding facility has a superb group of staff all if whom are aimed at taking care of your animal, whether its for a checkup or a month long boarding experience. I particularly like Dr. Fellman, as she seems sensitive and very observant of my cats needs and she doesnt push treatments on me: she tells me the options and leaves them up to me to decide. Its a huge relief knowing my cats are in good care. I feel lucky to have found this practice and would recommend it to anyone.

I cannot express how happy my dogs are in Christinas hands. Schnauzers, can be difficult and aside from the perfect schnauzer cut they are given, they never put up a fuss when its time to be groomed. I have moved several times but distance will never stop me from continuing our visits, I cant say enough how pleased we all are! Thanks Christina!!! ♥

Dr. Seimms is the sweetest and most caring vet in Bradenton!! You can tell she really loves animals and she takes the time to listen to any and all concerns! She is fairly new to this location, so any and all bad reviews should be null in void!
