My pets have been patients at Hendersonville Vet Hospital since our arrival in this area 5 years ago. I have found the staff unfailingly polite, aware, and prepared for any situation. Our pet family (two dogs and 3 cats) have been the recipients of superb attention and care. There has never been an occasion when any question has gone unanswered, or research left undone. I have always believed Dr Blair and Dr Zehr bring unparalled compassion, experience, and skill to every patient. They will take whatever time is necessary to ensure no option is left unexplained or unexplored. When the time came to let our oldest dog go, Dr Zehr performed the euthanasia with great tenderness and compassion. He made what was a terribly difficult occasion less so. I would recommend HVH without reservation.

Dr. Zehr is wonderful with my cat. I had despaired of finding a vet, staff, and clinic that all met my expectations (as a veterinary technician, I can be very particular), but I feel I hit the jackpot here. All the extra lengths they go to in order to make cats visits less stressful are beyond anywhere else I have seen. Dr. Zehr is very knowledgeable, and stays current on new developments in the field. He is also terrific with the hands-on part of the job, calm, quiet, slow with the exam, and very thorough. The icing on the cake? The hospital is AAHA-approved, which means they pass rigorous standards of every aspect of veterinary hospital management, which ensures a safer environment for your pet.

A Private User

We set an appointment for our two dogs for shots. When we arrived, they said they only had an appointment for one. We were the only customers in the building and they screwed up the appointment. They were kind enough to "accommodate us" (sarcasm intended in case you missed it). All I asked for was routine shots for two dogs. Let me repeat that, "routine shots for two dogs"! When we got the bill it was almost $190 for shots. Needless to say, we wont be back. $190 for shots.....! For two dogs! Did I mention we wont be going back? Unless you have more money than sense, avoid this business.

I looked for a year for a good vet and was not pleased until I found Dr. Zehr and Hendersonville Veterinary Hospital. He and the staff treat my "children" like their own, and are extremely knowledgeable especially about cats. He is so gentle and explains everything as he goes. I recommend them to everyone I know that is new to the area. One of our friends called me after I had recommended him, and was so thrilled with the level of care she received from Dr Zehr and staff. They sent me a couple of free tickets to the Flat Rock Cinema for the referral. Icing on the cake!!

We have had wonderful experiences at HVH. They treat us and our pets with care and dignity. We would not trust anyone else with our animals. I have not really shopped around to compare costs, but the quality of care far exceeds anything else in my mind. Following the recent loss of our beloved rat terrier, I can honestly say that we were overwhelmed with the treatment we received. I cannot imagine having gone through this process with any other veterinary staff.

We have been seeing rhis clinic since we arrived in town four years ago and only have wonderful things to say about the doctors and each of the staff members. They were all professional in the care of our pet, compassionate as his health failed, and supportive as we had to choose his fate. They are being patient as we deal with a rescue and the attendant issues of negl ct and abuse. Ten stars for this group!

I have nothing but good things to say about both Dr. Zehr and Dr. Blair. They are awesome doctors and give top notch care to their patients. They treat your pest as if they were theirs. It is an AAHA accredited hospital, which means they go through an extensive review of their practices and are held to a very high standard. The rest of the staff are knowledgable and caring. I highly recommend this hospital.
