On 09/14/15, I met for the first time, Dr. Valerie Rivera-Roig which is in my opinion, the best Dermatology Specialist in Florida and the rest of the world! She is very compassionate, honest and cares for the patient! She takes time to explain the condition of the skin of the patients, explain about the disease that you have and explain to you about the treatment of the condition. I will recommend this place and Dr to anyone without hesitation! She and her office staff have Excellent Customer service and she calls you at the time of the appointment! Today, 10/09/15, Dr Valerie Rivera Roig, did surgery to remove a abnormal nevus, She and her staff called me at the hour of the appointment, the nurse anesthesized the neck area, The staff and the Dr explained all the findings on the biopsies, the surgical procedure, the treatment and everything was pain free and successful with no complications! Thanks God and the Virgin Mary that I am dealing with this excellent professionals! 3 more surgeries to go Today 10/23/15, Second surgical excision done of abnormal nevus on the left upper back! Thanks God and to the Dr they removed all the pre malignant abnormal skin tissue from my first 2 surgeries! 2 more surgeries to goToday 11/09/15 the third surgery for removal of a abnormal nevus was done without problems! Surgery was pain free and quick and the Dr and the assistant were excellent health care with adequate anesthesia! Thanks God the second biopsies with no cancer! Now I surgery to go

Wow! Unpleasant and the P.A came in to tell my son she had a pepperoni face like his once and asked the medical assistant what she should give him.. After this I explained we were there because his pediatrician had prescribed him al she was asking me to give him..but she said she had to do it as well to cover herself.. I called about two weeks ago hoping to start him on acutane and atleast get some information on when my son could start but the P.a which explained how tired she was (at 3:30pm) from driving from Tavares that afternoon said he would have to do what hes doing for another 4 months before they can look into anything else for his acne. So Im a nurse and dont want my teen on antibiotics for what would be almost a year so this lady "could cover her behind" no! She will have to explain more of my son gets stomach tears due to her idiotic advice.. On to the next dermotologist.. Too bad I never read reviews before scheduling an appt.. This place is by far the worst doctor visit we have had.. My son was the first to say "what was that??".. Never returning

Advanced Dermatology is the worst place you could go in the Clermont FL area! This office had zero respect for my time or requests. I arrived 5 minutes late to my appointment and they proceeded to make me wait for 1 hour just to fill out the paper work, then they told me 30 minutes later that they would be unable to see me and I would need to make a new appointment, this was after I sat there for an hour and a half. I took a day off from work for nothing and didnt even get an apology, choose another Dermatologist or else you will experience this terrible service and rudeness for yourself!

I was given a diagnosis after a certain practioner saw me for 60 seconds, without it being confirmed via biopsy. I made a total of 3 visits seeking relief of my symptoms without success........I decided to go to a different doctor (Dr.Torres in Leesburg). Off the bat he knew my skin condition was not what I was told by Advanced Derm MD. I had a biopsy done and now I have the correct diagnosis. I do not recommend this practice.

I give this Doctor a 2.5/10, he did a biopsy on my scalp and I wanted to sit down with Him and discuss my option in terms of treatment and this non- caring Doctor asked his MA to read me my result over the phone..He did not give me he time of the day even to discuss my results. I would not recommend this Doctor to my enemy. A Doctor need to listen to his patients . Some of the staff are very abrupt, with no eye contact.

Diagnosis made NO sense. Normal Pattern Baldness does not happen over a 2 week period, Nor does your hair fall out in clumps when it is a natural thing. Went expecting an MD and met with an assistant. (PA) Our doctor sent him asking for a biopsy and that did not happen either. Now we will have to fight with our insurance to get to the actual problem. and no there is no baldness in his family either

My son was a patient at Advanced Dermatology. He was overbilled in July 2012. We have called numerous times to billing without receiving a return phone call. The receptionist, Denise, told us "we dont give refunds." I assured them on the day he was billed that our insurance would cover a plantar wart removal. They are very aggressive in this practice and we have moved on to another practice.

Not only do you have to wait an hour to get in the doctors office, but then you have to wait another 30-45 minutes in the office waiting for the doctor. Also, my dermatologist stopped working there without ever telling me about it and failed to schedule an appointment with another dermatologist or at least give me a refill on my medication. This place is awful, I recommend you go elsewhere.

Avoid if you can. The worst service/ time I have had at a doctor/dentist etc appointment. Everyone else sitting here is been seen at least 30 minutes after their appointment. I am going on 50 minutes. Totally unacceptable. See another dermatology office, worth the drive if it is farther in my opinion.

I was following the directions the PA gave me to get a prescription refilled. Call us after 6 months and well call in another 6 months of refills for you - yet the person on the phone was the WORST physicians office employee I have ever dealt with - she was unprofessional and didnt help me at all.

I had two cancer spots on my face, they were discovered by Dr. Montalvo and he recommended Dr. Spohr, who successfully operated and removed them. The entire staff impressed me with their kindness and professionalism. I do not hesitate to recommend them.

HORRIBLE!! The office staff was so unprofessional. The doctors "advice " was to get a cream and that should cure all problems, didnt answer any of my questions and could barely understand her. Do not recommend this place at all!

I would give no stars if I could. Asked up front , with my insurance how much the procedure would cost, and when I left to pay, It was over $120.00 more. DO NOT come here, unless you get in writing the price.

I got there early as they requested.... Waited over 1.5 hours after telling them right away I had stuff to do!! Rude staff. Beware, they tell you if youre late you owe them money!! Crappy business
