READ THIS IF YOU CANT CONTACT THEM BY PHONE! My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Medina ever since we moved to Miami 2 years ago from NYC. He was supper professional, knowledgeable , responds to ALL your questions, and he is super polite and caring. A couple months ago my husband needed a prescription refill and we tried calling them (more than 20 times) but we never got a call back (when you call, the system will take your message and tells you that they will call you back in 24 hours, however that never happened). We were very sad and extremely frustrated since we truly liked Dr. Medina and specially because its just hard to find a good primary care doctor in Miami (I have tried a couple, hes been the best so far). A couple days ago I got shingles and I tried contacting them once again. THIS TIME I USED THEIR PATIENT FUSION WEBPAGE which has a simple form to book and appointment... and guess what, they called me back!!!! yay!!!!! I just came back from their office and they explained that apparently the managing company that takes care of the calls has messed it up big time and thats why they never received their patients messages. They were very nice as always and Dr. Medinas assistant apologized for the all the problems. (apologies accepted because Dr. Medina was AWESOME as always!). BOTTOM LINE: Book an appointment using their patient fusion webpage (and booking system which will automatically show you their available visit times).

On A Personal Note: Dr. Medina-Smester and his staff lost a great employee to a tragedy a few months ago and for a while they were short handed and heart broken. They are well staffed now with Dr. Cuadra also seeing patients and have no problem communicating with their patients either by phone, Practice Fusion requests or email. I am very pleased with the care of the Doctors and staff. Most appointments available in 24 hours after Insurance verification.

Dr. Medina is absolutely amazing. After seeing ten other doctors and spending tons of wasted money, Dr. Medina was able to identify my condition and not only prescribe the right medication, but offered guidance and counseling as to how to deal with my condition. Almost three years later and he is still the best doctor I have ever had!

Be aware!! Extremely bad staff! Never answer your questions! Sent many inquiries through Patience Fusion and calls and never got an answer. They dont care about you. Its just about your money! AVOID!
