Two and a half years ago we moved to Corpus Christi and needed care for our extended pet family. At that time, none of our fur babies had ever lived outside of the house. All was well for two months - then one of our elderly cats was attacked at 5 am by two dogs. We did not know who to call so we called our sister - in - law who has used Dr. Mike for many years - she gave us the number -Dr. Mike met us a half hour later and saved our beloved Chuke. Since then, we are regulars. We have had only wonderful experiences from emergency care to bathing and grooming and including the loss of a pet. The staff is compassionate, kind and caring. Our family has expanded to include a rambunctious puppy who will be two next month and the four cats. All of them are healthy and happy thanks to Corpus Christi Animal Clinic! Anything, anytime and all reasonably priced. Our fur babies highly recommend Dr. Mike at the Corpus Christi Animal Clinic.

I have been taking my dogs to Dr Mike Hughes for years now, and all I have to say is he is the best vet Ive ever had, hes such a sweet man who really cares for animals and only has you pets best interest at heart, he honestly cares, hes not interested in making more money by charging u for tests and things your pet doesnt need. Hes cared for my several dogs all thier lives right up to the end and when my dog lucky recently passed he and his staff sent me a sympathy card with all thier signatures and with a mold cast of my luckys paw ,how sweet is that I was so surprised by the act of kindness that it brought me to tears .Ive recommended him to my friends and family and now they are also patients. I highly recommend Dr mike hugest and corpus christi animal clinic !

I have been a longtime (late 80s) client of CC Animal Clinic when Dr. Hughes took over the practice from Dr. Pat Prouty. Over the years, I have grown to appreciate their friendly, helpful staff who show compassion and have a realistic view of our pets at all ages. I especially love their new online pet appointments, emails and text reminders for keeping up with the dogs & cats. This has truly made our tech savvy household happy, as i can take care of reminders on my schedule. Dr. Hughes compassion is immense; delicately dealing with traumatic events, using his good judgement about how to, when to, put our pets down; helping us get prepared. and being extremely realistic about outcomes and treatment. I give them 5 Stars!

I dont know where to start. We love CC Animal Clinic. We have been taking our dogs to Dr. Mike for over 25 years, starting with our two Golden Retrievers we brought back from Australia with us. He has been there for us (sometimes at all hours when we have had a crisis). Over the years he has laughed with us and cried with us. His love of animals and compassion for all these creatures is great. He helped us find the two "rescues" we now have and love. We think Dr. Mike Hughes and his staff are all wonderful and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for excellent care and advice for their animals. He has treated everything from my pygmy hedgehog to our wonderful dogs with the same care and professional expertise.

My cats and dogs actually get excited when I tell them we are going to the Vet! We have used Corpus Christi Animal Clinic for many years and Dr. Hughes has a gentle touch and a genuine love of animals. He is assisted by a professional staff who go out of their way to accomidate me and my beloved pets. CCAC has been there for me from the beginning when I would bring in a stray sick animal, until the end when it came time to say "see you later" to an aging pet; and even beyond to handle cremation of a pet and offer me sympathy and compassion. Dear Pet Lovers, I have had several pets in my life time, and have gone to several vets they have never given my pet the personal attention they gave Pepper (my little dog) she is not only my pet, but my companion and I know she loves me because i take care of her, and take her to people like Dr Hughes. His staff, unlike others, must love their job because they too are friendly and give your pet that importance they need to feel. If you are looking for a friendly pet hospital to take your dog, cat, or goat the CORPUS CHRISTI ANIMAL CLINIC is the best place to go for all your pets needs.

This place is a diamond in the rough! Not from the area, but found this place online. Nothing fancy but the prices were decent. What really sold me was when Dr. Hughes stepped in the room with me and my two skiddish chihuahuas and got on his hands and knees and started to love on them. He treated them like his own. I really think he "feels" love for animals and that is what you want. These are our babies and I highly recommend this excellent doctor!!! He took his time, lots of hugs and gentle talk and answered all my questions. Gave advice and really cares!

Mr. Hughes is by far the best vet in Corpus Christi. I should had came to him first. After many visits to my regular vet with no success i decided to seek a second opion, and am i ever so happy i did! Mr. Hughes is very sweet and informative. He takes the time to explain the circumstances with you. And he really cares about the animals! Ive never been to a better vet! I would recommend him to every and anybody!

Dr. Hughes sold his practice to Doddridge Animal Clinic. I was told that Doddridge is owned by a large corporation that also owns VCA Oso Creek Animal Hospital and another clinic here in town. Dr. Hughes is still a great vet, truly loves his animal patients, but he is no longer as accessible as he was. The last time I tried to get an appointment, I was urged to use someone else.

We moved here just over two years ago from California, and found Dr. Hughes a couple of months later. Dr. Hughes and everyone on his staff have been terrific. They are kind, caring and completely professional. We have been in quite a bit since our oldest cat was diagnosed as diabetic, and every appointment has been on time, and handled with efficiency and kindness.

Dr. Hughes took great care of my dog. After his first visit, my doggie was always excited to go again and he really always had fun there. The vet also seems to know what hes doing professionally, and has all sorts of certificates and pictures showing him with all kinds of animals. I think I saw pictures of him taking care of tigers.
