Very attentive, thorough, and customized practitioners. I have a lot of experience with chiropractors and usually you walk in, give a brief description of your issues, and you get the same joints cracked every time then they send you on your way. Just like any other form of medicine, chiropractic services should be customized to fit YOUR needs, and that is exactly what Dr. Hummel and Dr. Porter do. And on top of being outstanding in their field, they are just all around genuinely good people and very good to have a conversation with as well. They always go above and beyond, and have helped with problems in my neck and back that Ive dealt with for years before seeing them. This would be the perfect practice to start at if youve never had chiropractic work done or if youre looking for a second opinion. I strongly encourage giving this business a shot. You wont regret it!

I first came to Dr. Hummel about a year and a half ago with excruciating lower back pain. Id been dealing with it for many years, and had been in constant pain for more than two months. I could barely move. I had never been to a Chiropractor before, but I was desperate and my GPs best advice was muscle relaxers and pain meds. Between the care I received from Dr. Hummel and David (hands down the best massage therapist Ive ever been to who also happens to practice at DSMH) my pain was quickly under control. With regular visits I am able to control my pain without medication. I am lucky enough to have been treated by both Dr. Hummel and Dr. Porter with excellent results. They are always friendly and accommodating to my crazy schedule.

Working with Dr. Hummel and Dr. Porter has been great--they squeezed me in for a same-day appointment after a randomly injuring my back. They are always very clear, thorough and helpful with their explanations about x-rays, treatment techniques, adjustments and exercises. Not only has my back pain decreased, but my other spine and neck problems have improved as well after a few regular visits. both Dr. Hummel and Dr. Porter are genuinely interested in my health, offering suggestions for continuing to reduce inflammation and improve my overall health, and care about making personal connections, getting to know you on a more personal level than many other doctors.

I have been to the office 3-4 times now and Dr. Hummel is great at finding the right treatment that pertains to your particular condition. The office is very welcoming and LeighAnne helps you feel comfortable. If you are worried about privacy the appointments dont seem to overlap much, I have only ran into another patient once (they only see one patient at a time which gives all the focus to you). On top of being a comfortable environment, Dr. Hummel and LeighAnne are sincerely genuine people and extremely kind. I would recommend Dr. H to anyone that has scoliosis or back pain. 10/10

Dr Hummel is an amazing chiropractor who is very knowlegable and great as his profession. He has a passion for helping and has helped relieve most of my carpal tunnel pain, and has worked towards treating the original problem in my neck, versus the wrist. I love his individual approach to patient care, and recommend him to all of my friends and family. I drive past over 10 other chiropractic offices - many of which I have visited and spent way too much money for no relief or personal care - just to get to this amazing office. After analyzing the condition of my neck Dr. Hummel made several adjustments that let me walk out of the office without neck pain or a ‘pinching’ that affected my eyes. What relief! The next treatment brought some steadiness to my shaky right hand! I appreciate the suggestions on computer use, driving, exercises at home, etc. from both Dr. Hummel and Dr. Porter. Dr. Hummel and Leigh Ann are very compassionate, competent and honest people that will take the steps and time necessary to get you back to health. Ive been to other chiropractors that push you in and out of their office like youre on an assembly line. I was ready to quit playing rec-league softball because I couldnt raise my throwing arm over my head. I had been told for years that surgery was the only way to fix it. I tried Dynamic Spine as a last resort and Dr. Hummel was able to "unfreeze" my shoulder. I was back to throwing like I was in my 20s.
