terrible service.... i have an ovarion cyst the size of a small baby and im in terrible pain to where i cant move. i have to pee every five minutes and im very bloated and i feel nausea and just overall in terrible pain. The obgyn that they referred me to cant see me till next week so i went back to the er to get a doctors note. the nurse came back with a note from the doctor that said im fine to go to work. are you serious? i couldnt believe my ears. I dont work in a office where i can sit and try to be comfortable... i have to stand all day and lift very heavy objects. at the moment i cant use any of my stomach muscels without being in great pain. i cant lift anything. i told them my line of work and they said take a tylenol. i will never go back and i will refer everyone away from this hospital and refer them to parkview. they are way better and actually care about the patient. ive never gone to the hospital before for anything but a cut that needed stitching and i never call off work. im legitimatly in pain and they refused me. i hope one day all those nurses and docs that did that to me get a giant one like me and i hope that they cant get a doctors note and are forced back to work when they are in pain.

I was told that I needed my Gallbladder removed so I called to schedule testing to find out why I needed it removed. So I try to make an appointment with the hospitals gastro department. Big mistake. The older/middle aged sounding white woman on the phone told me to just get my gallbladder removed, and said that they didnt see gallbladder disease patients (described so you know who to reprimand). She said shed ask the Doctor if I could get an appointment and would call me back. I never got a callback, and went on to have 2 more of these "gallbladder attacks" where Im vomiting undigested food 12 hours later. Ive since left this hospital system and switched to Parkview. As a Catholic I am disgusted with the lack of quality care, ignorant front desk staff, bad attitudes in your front line employees, and horrific primary care - YOU are the ones that are out in the world as ambassadors of the Catholic faith. If this is how you treat the sick and those in pain God have mercy on you because youre using The Lords name to get patients and to make them trust you when youre the worst hospital in the area.

Recently had a left knee total replacement with Dr. Nakamura and spent a couple of days at St. Mary Corwin. But let me backup a month prior to surgery and start there. I attended the joint replacement class, which us meant to prepare you so you know what to expect. Great class presented by an awesome nurse (cant remember her name). Any and all questions were answered and all information presented was done so in clear, conoise manner with visual aids. Next up you get to meet your Anesthesiologist, which I felt was important. Now, on to surgery. From admitting to surgical prep, everyone we interacted with was great! Once surgery was over and I was moved to the joint replacement ward where a team of nuses and physical therapists took over. These folks were all great to work with! They work with compassion but always push you to prepare you for your further recovery at home. Also, receiving daily communion was a blessing and the people who bring it were all wonderful! I have been through a bunch of surgeries and by far St. Mary Corwin Hospital staff and physicians made it the best experience possible!!

I went into the ER, while I was in college for abdominal pain, it was to the point I couldnt walk, and being in a medical field I understand that it takes ER doctors a while before they see the patient, but the doctor had the nurse just give me a pain killer medication and morphine and sent me out the door. Not only was the doctor completely rude to me the nurse who did my IV wouldnt listen to me when I told him what arm to use for an IV, he ended up blowing a vein in my arm and in my hand which caused me more pain than I was in. No part of my experience was comforting like they knew what they were doing, the woman who handled the financial portion of my visit right at the beginning of my visit told me that "you have to pay the co-pay or you dont get seen" luckily one of my friends who was an LPN and is now a Nurse told her that it is illegal for emergency care to turn away patients for lack of funding. I will not ever recommend this ER or hospital to anyone I know due to my experience. It discussed my Grandmother who is an OR nurse and a sister hospital.

They basically raped me. I begged them not to catheterize me. I was awake and aware and I said "No please dont no no I can go myself please no"... "Just let me do it" said the callous ER intern and with that she rammed me up the urethra with a hard plastic stick while I sobbed, naked, in a room full of men, absolutely terrified. All this because Id lost consciousness during a breathing test. They insisted I was on drugs because of my appearance. They cut off all my clothes as the breathing test technician slinked away never to be seen again. She didnt even let the ER docs know what had happened. DO NOT GO HERE. They violated my patients rights and blew me off until more than 30 days had passed and now they say theres nothing I can do. I have PTSD from this incident now. And I know they did it because they figured I wouldnt have the balls to go after them. They made a split second decision and decided I was a victim. This is not my first terrible experience here, just the second worst. If I talked about the worst one Id be banned for indecent posting.

The only reason they even get a 1 star is cant mark zero. At the admissions where they call you back to get all your info before whatever procedure you are having done I had a big problem. About my name and what I go by. I have been in this hospital several times and had no problems with admissions. But now they decided my name has to be changed. I get a supervisor over and tells me the same thing. WHO ARE THEY TO TELL ME WHAT NAME I MUST GO BY AND CHANGE ALL MY RECORDS TO WHAT THEY SAY IT SHOULD BE. ALL THE RECORDS ON FILE ARE WRONG AND THEY ARE GOING TO FIX THEM? I left the hospital without getting my procedure done that I needed to have done. They should have managers able to break whatever hospital policies need to be broken for whatever stupid reason they were put in place for. So I will give this place a zero for this visit and a zero for a previous surgery that I had to have re-done at another hospital. You would think they could at least do the simple things correct but I guess not.
