I am so Heart broken. My sweet Baby Brinley died at this clinic (she was a 5 month old 5 pound shitzu) My boyfriend took her in Friday morning she was vomiting, had diarrhea and was not eating, they took X-rays, a stool sample and Dr King gave her a shot, sent her home with 3 medications (amoxicillan and two others) around 4 when I got home I noticed she was still not doing well so we called again (they said give the medication time to work, if shes still not better bring her in the morning) 8 am we woke up to our Baby vomiting yellow and almost not breathing.. my boyfriend rushed her to the clinic (I got there 5 minutes later) as I walked in a see my boyfriend waiting and I tell them... THIS IS AN EMERGENCY MY DOG IS NOT BREATHING... they still had us waiting (I had time to call another vet and make arrangements to be seen instantly) but finally they take us back ... Dr King look at her teeth... he did a few chest compressions then he asked the girl to get the oxygen (which he said was the wrong one) he Didnt even try to save her.... he said shes gone..... my Baby was still alive when we got there! Had they truly cared and kept her over night maybe she would still be here with us. MY BOYFRIEND WENT BACK TO TALK TO THEM after we sent her to get cremated and Dr Moody said he would not have gone things the way Dr King did.... THAT DOES NOT bring my baby back.. we spent money to figure out what was wrong with her and got no answers.. as we grieve over our precious Baby girl....we still have NO IDEA why she was sick or why she died! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE WHO TRULY LOVES THEIR PET.. ITS too packed... they are too busy and if you have an emergency THEY WILL KEEP YOU WAITING....

I gave 1 star for a couple of reasons. I have always gone to this clinic because they offered the most reasonable prices on everything and It was close to my home. I went in this weekend to take one of my dogs to see the doctor and while I was there I wanted to get a new box of Iverhart Heartworm prevention Rx. Somehow they do not know how to keep accurate records and documentation. My dogs have all been on iverhart for years now and sometimes I buy 2 boxes at a time. They said I would have to get all 3 of my dogs retested for heartworms @ 25 bucks each and then restart them on Iverhart. I said no they have taken it every month. long story short I drove home got my records they realized they had not documented anything and I still HAVE TO PAY! The new guy there kept grinning like "haha, I was right" smh! Im not going through this again. DODDRIDGE ANIMAL CLINIC is our new go to Animal Doctor. and they give you a 25 dollar referral credit to the referrer and the refer-ee! Its our first time at Doddridge and the Doctor is nice as well as the staff. They have all the equipment on site, not like Crosstown. My son is getting the proper care he needs. I will say that Crosstown has opened my eyes to acknowledging I must keep very detailed medical records for my babies. I will never go there again and have to deal with something like this again. Fool me once shame on you, Fool me twice shame on me!

I was extremely disappointed with Baldwin clinic and would not recommend this place to an owner who is serious about the uptake in their pet. If you are simply in need for flea meds or vaccinations and cannot afford anything else, then this would have to be your last source. HOWEVER, should your pet need examinations, hospitalization or a true diagnosis of ANY illness, this is not the clinic to take your pet to unless you are prepared to walk out with a misdiagnosis and future bills towards a second vet and/or planning to put your pet down. We made a visit for a 6 week old puppy who we rescued and was not eating. The vet simply looked at the pup and gave her nutrical and were told to give her pedialyte and syrup. This diagnosis was made by just LOOKING at her?! Seeing that the puppy was not responding within a few hours, we decided to take her to Oso Creek hospital where she was thoroughly examined. Tests were conducted and our puppy tested positive for parvo! She was hospitalized and was being treated with IV, antibiotics, antinausea and plasma transfusions. I am happy to say that because of their immediate intervention, our puppy went through a rigorous virus and after 5 days survived. Had we taken the advice of Baldwin clinic, our family would have lost a puppy who wasnt even given a fair chance to live. Extremely disappointed that clinics like this even exist.

Have been coming here for over 10 years and always had a good experience. This time I didnt get past the receptionist. She was a skinny girl with freckles and although busy was rude and vulgar in the presence of myself, my kids and other customers. I stood at the counter for about 5 min. she came and just stared at me then left so I waited another 5 min before she came back and ignored me again. I asked her If I should just sign in and sit down. She just said yes while walking away. I wanted to ask her if they saw ferrets. So I wait and wait and wait. She comes back and asks me in front a room full of people "did you bring that ferret just to bring it? (sarcastically) because we dont do ferrets" I told that I didnt know that - remember she never gave me a chance to ask her. So the vet comes in and explains to me that he only does cats and dogs which I completely understand (really nice guy btw). so I sit back down. Then she says " Is that a little turd there in the corner?" That was enough for me so we left. Totally unprofessional on her part.

I have been going here for years. At least 20, probably more. This weekend the skinny girl with the multi-colored hair that thinks she is Cleopatra tells me she does not have to serve me. All because I had the audacity to tell her the chart was wrong. The other girl, who is much nicer, tells her no the dog has been tested there it is. So I walked out because Cleopatra and her attitude. So I call back and asked to see who the manager is during the week and was greeted with a we already called her and told her about you and what happened and we have witnesses. So evidently they are playing a game of cover their butts. I was going to call and talk to the manager but I believe it would be just a waist of time and I have the feeling Cleopatra has pulled this before on other customers. Well after more than 20 years of going here, I am done and off to another vet. Your milage may very. I cant even grasp what I did wrong for Cleo to have a reaction like that. Who knows maybe she has never been wrong before.
