I should have read the reviews. I had scratched corneas for several months and could no longer wear contact lenses. When I was finally healed, the Opthamologist gave me a new RX for glasses. $20. Deal. This was a differently place and time. Fast forward to this place. Im a busy person and Im traveling away from home. I called and spoke with Rachel who advised that I could have new lenses made on the same day for my current frames. She would not, however comment over the phone on the cost. I explained that I wasnt interested in scratch coating, glare coating or anything else. Basic lenses. Still no. She had to make sure the lenses were available in stock. Fine. Okay, fine. I get in my car, drive over and walk through the endless mall. I walk in and there is Rachel. She has me take a seat. She looks at my glasses and then my RX and makes a strange comment. She then asks if I want single vision lenses and I said yes. In less than 30 seconds, Rachel looks on the computer, pulls out a calculator and presses a couple of buttons and says something to the tune of $170+. My reply: Wow. This could not have been done over the phone? Really? $170+? Wow. Um no. I get it. Its a retail environment. It doesnt need to be marked up that much. Every time I deal with a optometrist, it feels like Im buying an overpriced used car. What the hell is with the calculator? Are we supposed to haggle? Plastic ground down to fit a frame costs $170+ in less than a few minutes? I call BS. I will send my glasses to a company online that charges far less money. The last time I dealt with LensCrafters, I wound up getting a pair of glasses where the lens was not ground properly and it continuously popped out of the frames. I thought I would at least give another location a second chance. Im done with this store.

This was my second experience with this location and the first time was a much better experience than my second for sure. Went in for my annual exam to see if my prescription had changed and after taking the eye glasses exam the Dr. tells me that it did not change so I wanted to order some contact lenses and I was told that she wouldnt order them until I paid another $89 for a contact lens exam... Now I dont understand one how if my prescription didnt change why would I have to pay another $89?? OK so I pay the $89 because she tells me that she needs to make sure the "fit" will be OK and with the exam you get to try several different kinds of lenses. OK I buy into this process and as I get my bag and the lenses she has me "trying" are the exact ones that I had been wearing so being confused I tell her that I already know these are OK because they are the exact ones I was wearing and I am told that she will order 3 other kinds for me to try out and see if I like them or not and I said ok but now its 3 weeks later and I have never been given any other "trial" lenses and I keep calling but still nothing. I feel I was lied to just to pay the $89 and I will never be back to this place again.

Im a traveling tower technician and my prescription sunglasses broke a screw. In a rush I brought them in and they fixed them very fast and for free. If I could give 6 stars I would. Very helpful and friendly staff.
