This vet clinic might be okay but, as for one of their vets Id stay away. My personal experience with Dr Ashley Bruce is not good. In fact its very bad. I took a female cat to her with a uti. The good doctor tried to express her bladder and in doing so ruptured her bladder. I, and the assistant, heard the "pop" when it burst. I asked Dr. Bruce what that was, although I knew what it was, and she said, its nothing. Dr Bruce put my baby on antibiotics and sent her home, only to be dead in less than 24 hours. I can only imagine how she must have suffered. She said if she didnt improve in a few days to bring her back. I believe that Dr.Bruce knew what was going to happen and she either didnt care or lacked the skill and knowledge to do what was right and that would have been emergency surgery to repair her mistake. It was Saturday so she probably had a hot date or something else more important than my innocent kitty. Unfortunately, theres nothing that can be done about this kind of willful negligence. She should not be allow to touch another animal. She is incompetent and unfit. Take your little friends to her at your and your animals own risk. If I could give her stars in the minus, I would give minus ten.

I have been taking my animals (dog and 2 cats) here for 3 years now. I took one star off because I agree with the other google user that stated the receptionist, Judi, is rude. I have dealt with her many times and I always find her to be off-putting. She doesnt seem to particularly care about animals or people for that matter. Everyone else has been great, however. And when our dog had surgery for a lump the vet took the time to come to my house to check on the dog and bring me a halo which had not been provided when I took him home. She also gave me a free dose of pain medicine (starts with an R, I forget the name) because he seemed to not be feeling better.

Have been taking our dog here since 2006. Recently customer service has declined. Veterinarians are cold and unfriendly. My husband took our dog in today and the receptionist, Judi, was extremely rude. She fussed at him because he arrived early and requested leaving our dog there so he could step out of the building for fresh air. He has cat allergies. When the appointment was made, this was explained to the receptionist over the phone and we were told that the technician could take our dog in to do the procedure while he waited outside. I guess they forgot our request or a different receptionist had answered the phone. Not going back.

Dr. Godine knows everything and can help your pet like no other vet. He also has a heart of gold and came in to the hospital to operate on my cat on his holiday and saved my cats life!!! Dr. Chip Godine is just excellent and has cure cats that VA Tech had no idea about and that means he is the top vet anywhere, I would not dream of taking my babies anywhere else. :) I cannot imagine what vets were cold because the other vet Dr. Janet Robertson has a heart of gold herself and has gone over and beyond her call of duty too . She came to my home to help a stray dog and will do anything to help my cats. She is excellent too,,,,

Needed an expert on a new science-based veterinary therapy called cold-laser therapy. Dear friend of mine has a cat with renal failure, and Dr. Richard Godine appears to be one of the leading experts in this emerging field at veterinary hospitals nationwide. He explained he has a procedure for cat renal failure that optimizes the potential for recovery, so I referred my friend to him, and we were very happy to have this clinic as a resource. Kudos to Ruckersville Animal Hospital for going the extra mile.

Even though my animals arent always thrilled for their exams, I have fun going and chatting with Dr. Robertson and the rest of the staff. Good people, good atmosphere and great service. Ive primarily dealt with Dr. Janet Robertson who is very compassionate both to animal and owner. A good one to have on your side when making a decision and takes time to get prices if you need them or alternate meds if your dog has an allergy.
