found a new dentist after having the same one for thirty years. on my second visit i was told my dentist was retiring. couldnt i have been told that before i invested in xrays and everything else? i had a routine teeth cleaning. after they were scraped and polished the hygenist decided to get out the ultrasonic cleaner and grind away for 2 full minutes on tooth i have a rather large filling in. i was in pain when i left. that pain increased dramatically over the next few days to the point i was back in the office being told i needed to go to a surgeon and have it pulled. my tooth was 100 percent fine when i walked in for the cleaning and 5 days later i am looking at an implant for thousands.i voiced my concerns to dr. hutchison and his reply was you were probably going to have trouble with that later anyway. shoulda, coulda, woulda, really.i contacted the office after my implant and stem had had the proper time to seat. i was told it would be 2400 to complete the procedure. i go back to i was 100 PERCENT fine when i walked in. i think poor judgement was used to grind away on a tooth that they said was already iffy? i should not have to pay one dime to get my mouth right as it was right when i walked in. i am out thousands, have already missed four days work, will miss more when i have it completed. the office wanted me to come in. why? you have my xrays, you have already examined my mouth. that is just more time off work, not your money right. i was floored they would not work with me and make it right since THEY caused the situation. i will take any polygraph they want to prove this is true. my advice to you is to keep looking.

I am blessed with great teeth and until I was in my early 50s never had to have a single thing done to them other than cleanings and my wisdom teeth removed. I was totally shocked one day when I started having a toothache. I went to my general dentist who said I had a crack in my tooth. What, but I have perfect teeth?! How can I have a cracked tooth if Ive never even had a single cavity? 3 specialists, a crown and a failed root canal later I was having my poor tooth extracted. I was told I had a problem with my bite, but none of these dentists told me how to fix it to prevent a tooth problem again. Then, one day, I had the great fortune of meeting the folks at 8118 Dental and Dr. Tana Busch. The dentists at 8118 are masters of "the bite". They go to specialty level training to learn how to make your bite right so that you prevent problems or so that your dentistry lasts a long time. Tana reassured me that she could fix my bite to lower the risk of that happening again. She and Brenda took the time to explain to me what they needed to do in detail so that it made sense to me. I am relieved and grateful for the team at 8118 Dental. The entire team is awesome and made me feel extra special and really comfortable. I love Tanas motto, "The best dentistry is no dentistry." I am the perfect example of how she really means that.

This is unlike any other medical/dental office Ive been to. I have been beyond impressed by Dr. Carlyon. I have had a filling and a crown so far. Dr. Carlyon is highly educated, skilled and strives for perfection. He truly cares about his patients. After the crown, he gave me his cell phone number in case I needed to call him. His expertise, patience and caring is what I look for in a dentist. Not only are they friendly, personal, professional, accommodating, detail oriented and very thorough, I feel like that actually deeply care about the health of my teeth! They are very focused on preventative care and doing things 100% right. The quality of care you will receive at 8118 Dental is unlike any other. I am so thankful I am under their care! Irene cleaned my teeth and she was AMAZING! Very skilled, thorough, gentle and friendly! When leaving my last appt. it was raining. Rhonda gave me a free umbrella. I have never been to a medical office that cares so much about their patients and treats you like family. I highly recommend 8118 Dental.

I had heard great things from other physicians about Dr. Tana Busch before I met her, but even those reviews cant embody everything that she offers her patients. She and her staff were calm, understanding, and extremely sensitive, but thorough while they met both my immediate and long-term dental needs. After one long procedure, Dr. Busch had cups of soup from a local restaurant waiting for me to take home so I could eat later. As I left, she gave me her personal cell number if I needed anything over the weekend. Her entire staff treats patients in the same manner! They focus on your entire health--not just your teeth and mouth. I have never seen such a caring and comprehensive practice anywhere throughout the U.S. To make it even easier for their patients, they also file insurance and answer any billing questions for you. I am in awe of Tana Busch and her staff. There are not enough words to show my gratitude for them.

I am probably not the easiest patient. I question all and am a natural born skeptic when I am told I need dental work. It is like going to a mechanic; I have no idea if I really need what I am being told I need. I was amazed at how quickly the professional staff in this office laid to rest my fears about the prospects of being "taken advantage". After one visit, which is a record for me, I felt comfortable committing to this team the future of my Dental health. The staff is straight forward, attentive, always has a positive attitude, gives me a range of options when possible allowing the decision to be mine, and is not bashful with their unvarnished opinion without allowing me to intimidate. I highly recommend this team. The fact that Dr. Yu refers to them added to my comfort concerning their abilities and knowledge in the field of Dentistry.

Dr Busch is amazing, I cant say enough good about her. I went to her for a Bridge replacement by Crowns and Implants. The first step of the procedure was to lengthen my teeth for the crowns (this is done by scraping down the bone below the gum line) and placement of the implant base. I was given a local anesthetic (offered gas, but I dont like it). I was instructed to take Prescription Strength Ibuprofen before the numbness wore off and then every 6 hours. I never had any pain! I couldnt believe it. I would expect some pain with this type procedure but I didnt have any. My only compliant, which is minor - would be they dont take insurance. You have to pay for 100% of your services. They will bill insurance for you, but you have to pay cost up front.

I just love going to the dentist! I never thought those words would come out of my mouth, but the great attention given to detail at 8118 Dental has me looking forward to my visits. From having to reschedule my appointment due to a last minute meeting to entering with a warm greeting to having Lisa looking over detailed notes so that she knew what had happened at my last visit to the care she gave to my sensitivities (great hygienist) to seeing NICOLE and being greeted with a heartfelt hug to finishing up with Rhonda (love her sense of humor) I felt like I had treated myself to a day at the spa! Quality + love of what you do = One of a kind environment and service that I drive from Kyle to get.
