I was on a business trip to Austin for a week and I got an intolerable tooth pain on the second day of my trip. I did not want to see a doctor for it but I had a nagging pain that I just could not ignore. I asked my friends at work to recommend a good dentist (and explained how I dread going to dentists) they recommended Horizon Dental Care. I called the office and made an appointment on the SAME DAY. To my surprise the office did not have the usual dental office scents I smelled in almost all dental office I had been to. It smelled nice and felt welcoming. The staff were very friendly and right around the time I was done with filling out my info the doctor was ready to see me. He was very friendly too which took away from my stress. After examining my teeth it turned out I had a deep cavity that needed immediate treatment. The doctor explained the issue, the options and the pain that I might feel. Root canal was done on the tooth painlessly, then a filling done on the top of it. I had mild pain the next day but Dr. Mughrabi had mentioned that already. Now that it has been over a month, my tooth is perfectly fine no pain no nothing. The whole experience was very pleasant. The staff were very knowledgable, professional and nice. Dr. Mughrabi was very friendly, gentle, understanding of my fear and professional. I would def recommend this office to anybody in Austin.

I found Horizon Dental on my list of preferred providers on my insurance plan. I was pretty nervous at first because I havent seen a dentist in a while, and I was having issues with my wisdom teeth. I started having issues on a Friday, I called Horizon Dental (even though they were closed) and left a VM and my call was returned the next day, despite it being the Saturday of the month that they were off. I was so relieved, I was scheduled to come in early that next week. Beverly was so kind and she helped accommodate me with my work schedule. My consultation with X-rays and surgery went so smoothly, Ive never encountered such professionalism and care at a dentist in a major city before. Dr. Miriam Guirguis did my wisdom tooth removal surgery, and she was extremely attentive to me and my needs. My boyfriend (bless his soul) stayed to watch/take me home and he was extremely impressed at how well they took care of me. All in all, Ive never written an online review in my life but I felt compelled to share my experience because this office and staff is amazing! If youre nervous and need to see a dentist, call them! I live in north Austin now, the office is a convenient 5 minute drive from my apartment. Im more than likely moving to south Austin in the next couple of months, but I am more than willing to make the drive across Austin to see these guys in the future!

Id been experiencing discomfort due to a long-neglected cavity and decided to walk in to Horizon Dental today as its right across the street from my apartment. When I walked in the receptionist was on the phone helping someone but the dental assistant saw me standing there and helped me right away. She got me started on paperwork and when the receptionist was available she was very helpful in finding my insurance information for me since I didnt have my card on me. They were both really friendly. They were able to set me up with an exam and x ray of just the problem area which was cool. After I finished the paperwork I was shown to the chair and told that Dr.G would be with me shortly. She was really sweet and professional. Her demeanor put me at ease. My cavity ended up being pretty gnarly but she made short work of filling it. I made a follow up appointment for a full exam and teeth cleaning which Im pretty stoked about considering how long its been since Ive had regular dental care. The staff was great, the prices seemed reasonable, they were playing some catchy oldies, and they fixed me right up. I really couldnt imagine a smoother experience.Thank you!

I havent been to the dentist in years and I was scared to go but I cracked a tooth so I had to. Marriah and the front desk staff were so nice and friendly. Everyone there made me feel like I had been going there for years and we were all good friends. I got the most AMAZING teeth cleaning from Cathy. I have never had one that didnt hurt, which is kind of why I hadnt gone in so many years. She numbed my gums with some ointment and I literally didnt feel a thing and she had to scrape a LOT because my plaque and tartar buildup was so bad. Then Dr. Guirguis did my exam and gave me all the options. Because I am about to be unemployed she let me pick the cheapest option first. Explaining that it was a temporary fix but that for right now until my situation got better it would do the job. They didnt try to pressure me into the biggest most expensive thing. I really felt like they cared about me and not just trying to make as much money as possible. I will recommend them to anyone and everyone I know. Thank you Dr. Guirguis and the entire crew at Horizon Dental Care Austin.

If you are like me you dont relish any visit to a dentist, but when all your excuses are gone you need to give Dr. Guirguis at Horizon Dental Care a call. The Horizon staff is totally professional and at the same time they make you feel totally welcome and almost glad to be there, Dr. Guirguis greets you with a smile that says Im glad you are here and I am here help you, so lets get to work..and its obvious she takes her job seriously. Her exams and explanations of the condition of your oral health are clear and concise and she gives you the plan necessary to correct the problem(s) along with any alternatives that are available and she lets you make the decisions. As I was being worked on I noticed that Dr. Guirguis and her assistant Olivia, a very gracious and capable young lady, work well with each other, quick to anticipate the others needs and the needs of the patient. All in all, this was by far the most pleasant dental visit that I have ever experienced and Ive had my share of the good and the bad.

Thanks to the great experience I had today with Dr. Guirguis, I will no longer be avoiding the dentist! My cavity filling was painless and easy, which wasnt the case the first go-around on that tooth a few years ago at another dentist. With Dr. Guirguis, I felt like I was in good hands, and her professionalism instilled a great deal of trust. Even so, Dr. Guirguis and her assistant repeatedly ensured they were not administering unwanted pain or discomfort. The routine teeth cleaning was also painless and I didnt feel like I was being tortured (presumably for not flossing). What I havent mentioned is how kind and nice the entire staff is, and thats probably most important to me. Try them out, youll see what I mean. All around amazing. Would definitely recommend. 5/5 - perfect.

Im not a review person, but I was promised theyll love me forever if I write one and thats a bargain so here we go. Dr. G and staff are professional and kind. They worked really fast as well. Place is chill. Extra point for remembering my name with correct pronunciation (not the one above, that would be ridiculous). I doubt that is due to my personal charm but to proper business practices. Small things like that helps you not run out of the world screaming at the idea of visiting the dentist. Appointment reminders for dummies! I should write something negative as an unbiased reviewer: Flimsy looking coat hanger. Does that count? (It did hold though.)
