The doctor and staff seemingly perform unethical billing practices. My son received 3 fillings last year at the Cambelton location. Dr. Caswell was recommended by our familys regular dentist, since he did not fill cavities on children. On the day of our visit to this dentist, the front staff gave me an itemized list of procedures that the doctor would perform on my son with a cost for each procedure listed. I was informed that the procedures would take two visits. Each itemized list showed a total I had to pay out of pocket each visit. I was asked to sign the paper. Please note that I did have insurance. The first visit, I paid as stated and expected to pay according to the paper the next visit. When I returned for the second visit, I unfortunately left the copy of the itemized payment list home. The front office clerk did not retrieve the paper that I signed, but instead used her calculator to give me a new total, which I later discovered once I arrived home was much higher than what was on the itemized list. During the second visit, I opted out of having my son receive gas during his treatment, which should have lowered the bill for the second visit. It didnt. When I questioned the additional amount over the phone, the manager stated that they forgot to bill for an office visit. He gave additional crazy reasons and contradicted his previous statements during the conversation. During the next months after treatment, I continued to receive bills that had additional costs. To add insult to injury, the office continued to send me reminders to come back throughout the course of the year although I asked them to stop contacting me. Meanwhile, my son continued to receive cleanings at his regular dentist. When my son received his most recent checkup from his regular dentist in February of 2017, his dentist informed me (based on recent X-rays) that the teeth that were filled were showing decay. No other teeth had decay. I was dismayed and immediately contacted Caswells office. I was informed that I would have to pay for her exam. I questioned why I should have to pay for fillings that were improperly filled. After I hung up with her, I canceled the Friday appointment via text and left a voicemail informing Caswells staff that I had made an appointment with a new dentist to get a second opinion. Interestingly, the office manager called me afterwards and stated that Caswell would not be seeing me anymore. I informed her that apparently she didnt look at or listen to her messages indicating that I had canceled the appointment. As soon as I hung up, I received a text asking me to confirm my appointment with Caswell and an email reminding me of my Friday appointment. I responded to the email requesting that they do not contact me anymore. This office truly epitomizes disorganization.

The staff is not really nice. They are treating children, why are they so tense and look so scared? Some of the nurses and the technicians did also the minimal, like if they dont want to work, I dont know, it is the 4th time that Ive been there and every time got worse. They lack professionalism.
