I did not have private dental insurance, but because I was pregnant I had dental insurance through Medicaid. I was overdue for a cleaning (still am) and decided to take advantage of having dental insurance about 2-3 weeks before my baby was due. I procrastinated, but still tried to take the opportunity. I made an appointment with this office and came in submitted insurance info and everything then went back to X-rays and had the hygienist come in to look at my teeth. She sat back and just shook her head and condescendingly said something along the lines of honey youre gonna need a deep cleaning. Youve got bone loss. And youre just really in need of a deep cleaning. Mind you; I keep pretty good care of my teeth with brushing 2-3 times a day and flossing fairly regularly. So I was pretty concerned when she seemed so concerned. So I asked how much a deep cleaning was, what it entailed and if I could go ahead and do that. She told me it could take at least 2 weeks for pre-authorization and that I would have to come back. So I asked if I could just have a routine cleaning just to help a little bit and she told hat wouldnt do a thing for me and they just wouldnt be able to help. So I went back to the front desk, asked them to process the pre-authorization with my Medicaid insurance in hopes that they would approve it quickly and get to me before I had my daughter. I was told I would receive a phone call to schedule the appointment once pre-authorization was approved and I never heard anything again. I didnt pursue it any further, because I was very put off by the lack of organization and the attitude of the hygienist towards my "bone loss" and pressing need for an invasive "deep cleaning". Something in my gut told me just not to worry about it and I think it was for good reason after reading more reviews. They seem slightly shady and Im glad they didnt touch my teeth. Definitely try to go elsewhere, they dont seem to value new clients or true dental hygiene. Luckily, my private dental was reinstated so I dont have to worry about run-ins with shady dental practices.

I have been going to doctor Kay for over 5 years. I dont have much to say about her because I hardly got to interact with her but once, usually the hygienist got to clean my teeth. reason that im rating her office today is because of a recent encounter I had with one of her office staff. I had an appointment scheduled at 4:00 I left work at 3:00 gave myself an hour to make it and also loss 2 hours of work time so I could make it to the office. It is Atlanta of course I got stuck in traffic. I called the office to advise them that im like a mile away and I will be a few minutes late, the lady who answered the phone didnt identify herself stated that if im more than ten minutes she will have to reschedule me. I pleaded with her explained the sacrifices that I made to be there, that I couldnt afford doing that over, and I didnt mind being the last person the hygienist had to see. this lady had such a nasty attitude im never experience that... she went on to say "im in charge of the schedule, they hygienist is scheduled to leave at 6 today, are you asking me to keep the hygienist longer in the office to accommodate you? " with a nasty sarcastic voice. I was baffled, I just hung up, took the next exit and went back home. I will never visit her office ever again, one unhappy patient and one less customer they have to service to,

I called a little over a month ago and set up an appointment and the receptionist got my info and proceeded to inform me that she would call my insurance company and that if she had any problems that she would call me back. Needless to say, I never got a call and I assumed everything was ok, BIG MISTAKE. I get to my appointment the next day and the receptionist gets my ID and Insurance card and types my name in and tells me that the doctor cant see me because my insurance information was not taken care of before my appointment! I was livid, but I calmly explained the phone call situation and she just says that she read the note the other receptionist left (the one I talked to) and that I was supposed to get my insurance info and call them back. "No, we dont do that. You have to call your insurance." I just grabbed my cards, and called another dentists office who of course told me the same thing about calling me back so that time I got her information and was going to call if I had not heard back, but unlike this office, she did and I have a 2nd appointment with that Dr. tomorrow. Great customer service really makes a difference.

I have never been so dissapointed in a dentist. I have been dealing with a toothache for over three months now and it still hasnt been resolved. I have made time on 5 different occasions to come up there and get it fixed. I just had a newborn baby and it isnt easy dropping everything. Each time, I was scheduled for a cleaning and I never got it. I got a filling that popped out the same day it was put in... This office only wants to continue to make appointments so they can charge your insurance. Its disqusting. They dont care about thier patients at all. I was called on Sunday at 5pm to "reschedule" my Monday appointment. That is so unbelievably unprofessional. They kepy saying that "I was really in need of a deep cleaning..." hmmm seems like Ive seen that before on some of these other reviews. Beware! Do not go here, it is nothing but a headache...well, toothache really!

I had a six month cleaning at this visit. Angie, the hygienist, did a great and thorough cleaning. I could still feel the effects the next day. She gave me pointers on how to take better care of my teeth and a goodie bag. Also, the room clean, the instruments were kept sterile and she wore gloves. There was a computer in the room for documentation. Dr. Kay came in the room and explained what I needed next. I highly recommend Dr. Kay. Also, the facility is located in a convenient area and needed for the community. My experience at this facility keeps getting better and better. The staff was very professional. Jenny answered all my questions about out of pocket expenses and she gave me a coupon for mouthwash. I scheduled my next treatment and a six month follow up!
