When our beloved 13 year old Golden Retriever couldnt keep down food for an extended period, we were faced with a need for emergency care just before closing time. Dr. Bhakhri agreed to see her, even though we werent regular clients. After a simple examination he told us that he could feel masses on her liver and pancreas, and that she had severe pancreatitis. He said that he could perform further expensive testing, but recommended against it, given her age and presence of numerous fatty lipomas, and gave a diagnosis of cancer. He was extremely sensitive and compassionate, and suggested that we talk for a while to decide what to do. After we made the painful decision to put her to sleep, he agreed that it was the kindest path for our pet. He explained the procedure, and allowed us all the time we needed to say goodbye, and watch her go peacefully to sleep. He and his staff provided support and compassion at this difficult time for us. He was very kind to our pet on her last day. Thanks to him, she died pain-free, peacefully, and in the arms of her loved ones. I can unreservedly recommend him!

Yesterday, Nov 29th, I knew I had to put down my beloved 13.5 year old dachsund Serena, but I did not want to take Serena to the clinic. Serena has had her share of clinics and was very scared. I wanted her end to be quiet, peaceful, and at home. I called several vets because I wanted one to come over on Sunday, Nov 30th, but no one wanted to do so and told me to come to their clinic. When Dr. Bakhri heard the urgency and the pain in my voice, he told me that he would make a house call and respect my wishes. He arrived on the dot at 10:30 am and very lovingly, with the utmost respect for Serena and me, put Serena to sleep. All the time that he was there, he kept offering me his condolences, and I could see that he is a vet who truly cares. I am genuinely grateful for his attention, punctuality, concern, and love. Moved cross country with my 9 yr old pup. My vet back home was decent, my dog was healthy so I never had any issues. Still though I was hesitant to find a new vet...A friend recommended ELC so I gave them a call. I have never felt so comfortable and confident with a vet as I do with Dr. bhakari and also with Jacob. They run on time, treat Mj with care and are extremely nice to me. When mj had an eye problem, dr bhakari was honest in giving me a good specialist to have a better look. I call all the time with "mj is doing this, mj is doing that" and Jacob always gives me his best recommendation such as "this is normal" or "you should come in". Ive never had a bad experience here & its been about 3 years now. Best vet ever!!!!!! Highly trusted and highly recommended

We started taking our dogs here when Lawrence Pet Hospital sold to VCA and started upselling everything. The office is in a quiet strip mall next to a 7-Eleven. There are separate entraces for canines and felines which is nice. The waiting rooms are small but weve never seen crowds, so they dont overbook appointments. The staff here is incredibly friendly. So far we have only been dealing with annual exams, routine tests and shots, and never have they suggested an elective procedure like dental cleaning. Lawrence VCA told us that one of our dogs had a cracked molar and would need it extracted. The folks at ELC said "meh," its not cracked and except for tartar buildup, the tooth is fine. Enough said.

I went to the ELC Vet Clinic for my first time when my 16 year cat had medical problems. Dr. Bhakhri was fantastic. He clearly explained everything to me and always laid out various options. In the end I had to put my cat to sleep. The Dr and his two staff people were there on the Saturday this had to be done. They were all very kind to me as I made this difficult decision and showed me respect and support. They allowed me the time I needed before and after the procedure to be with my little companion until I was ready. At all times they focused on my and my pet. I cant say enough on how great they all were.

Dr. Bhakhri is the first vet I have found who really cares about each pet as an individual. I have been bringing my 3 cats to him for over a year. We previously treated one for mass cell tumors and he successfully completed his chemo treatments. He now has an upper respiratory infection and we are fighting that. The doctor has been available even during the weekend. These animals are not just numbers to Dr.Bhakhri; that it is clear. I wholeheartedly recommend him.

Its 1 mile away from home and the people here are all friendly and generous. They helped us a lot with dealing on Joeys allergies and anal gland expression. Dr. Bhakri in particular is very helpful to us. He is professional and knowledgeable too. We highly recommend this vet clinic.

My dog was vomiting. As a guy never had dog before, I took my pet to this place. They charged for $200+ for a shot of fluid and two pills. I feel so ripped off. I asked my vet friend, he said giving my puppy some water will do the same.
