Thank you Dr.Sam Ecker! He was my dermatologist in Miami, Fl. He helped me with my axillary hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating in my armpits). He explained the different treatment options available and ultimately we agreed on Botox. I appreciated he explained the benefits and risks of each treatment available- hes very knowledgeable and honest. I even asked him if I needed any Botox for my face and he recommended against it at this time. Again, I appreciate the honesty! His treatment changed my life and wardbrobe--I can wear so many more colors now and Im not embarrassed about potentially sweating anymore. He took his time to explain the procedure, made sure I was comfortable, and followed up to see how the treatment worked out for me. He truly does care about making sure you are satisfied and helping with your main concerns. Also, he helped with recommending topical treatments for my acne. I can say Im very happy with his work! I recommend highly him for any of your dermatology needs!

Ive been a patient of Dr.Ecker for four years and counting. I visited three dermatologists prior to discovering Minnesota Dermatology in search of help for severe rosacea. He was the very first dermatologist to substantiate a treatment plan that actually worked to derail my condition. I was in considerable pain and felt extreme embarrassment in terms of appearance. Today, my skin is nearly flawless, minus the light redness that remains. Dr.Ecker has been a saving grace, and is one of the kindest doctors I know as he cares immensely about his patients and practice. I travel forty minutes each way to visit Minnesota Dermatology. His staff is kind, courteous, caring, knowledgable and readily available to patients as needed. My phone calls have always been answered in a timely fashion. The pricing is extremely fair. By far the most reliable dermatologist in the state of Minnesota - Im tremendously grateful for their services. They have changed my life for the better! Rosacea, in check!

Dr Ecker removed a basal cell spot from my forearm. Happy with that. No complications. Was unhappy with the full body evaluation. The dark spot on my temple that another dermatologist assured me was nothing when it showed up a few years earlier, was burned off by the "salesman" who assured me it could turn into cancer. That cost me a few hundred dollars. I fell for it because cancer is all over my family tree. The dark spot returned. The spot was again confirmed to be harmless when I needed a dermatologist to remove a squamous cell from my forehead. Id have returned to Dr Ecker for that procedure if not for the money grab his salesman pulled off. Happy with the new dermatologist. Not saying who that was so this wont be misinterpreted as as an attempt to steer patients toward a particular office. Its wrong to play on a patients fear to ring up an unnecessary dark spot removal sale.

I would NEVER go back to Minnesota Dermatology. Saw Eric Englund for a mysterious rash on my neck. I fully explained that I would be paying cash for the visit and asked how much the test would cost. He said "about $200" - I authorized the test. I got a bill from the lab for $805. I contacted the clinic and told them what happened. Eric denied that he told me the $200 price and the clinic manager told me that she has told the doctors not to quote prices. I agree with that - however, does nothing for my $805 bill. My expectation of any professional, especially a doctor who is ethically obligated to live to a higher code of ethics, is that if they dont know something - they tell me they dont know (they could have called and verified the price, given me the phone number to call, etc). They have lost a patient and all my trust. This is just plain flat out wrong.

These people dont care one bit about you as a patient, only how much money they can get from you. It costs me 100 dollars per visit ( after insurance ) to talk the doctor for 5 minutes. All he did was prescribe some awful medicine that made me sick and have me come back in 6 weeks to talk for 5 minutes, charge me 100 dollars and prescribe more medicine. The doctor had zero interest in actually diagnosing the root cause of my problem. They are very friendly at the office, but its very obvious they just pack as many people through there as possible, as fast as possible. Avoid this place at all costs!

I have been amazed by this group. I had been seeing Dr Ecker for about a year when he found melanoma on my leg. The care I received from he and his staff was above and beyond the call of duty during this time. Its been nearly 5 years since he removed my melanoma and I have follow-up appts every 3 months. They continue to be a great and caring staff. My DIL, son and granddaughters see Minnesota Dermatology as well. We all feel they exceed our expectations. And just for an FYI, it was my primary at U of MN who sent me to Dr Ecker. Even the Drs like his level of care.

Dr. Sam Ecker is as professional as he is friendly. You would think that having a Botox needle aimed towards your face would be terrifying, but Dr. Ecker explained everyrhing thoroughly and I felt very comfortable before, during, and after the procedure. He is extremely knowledgeable and helped me to make an informed decision about my cosmetic/preventive Botox treatment. Dr. Ecker is caring, relatable, and talented- I wish he was staying in FL!

I told the CNP that I suffered from severe hair loss with minocycline, and did not see any improvement with doxycycline. Yet I was given doxy. Differences between the two could not be explained properly. To make things worse, I got a bill from them for $200+, consultation fees. Felt like a complete waste of money and time. Needless to say, will not return.

Interesting reviews... I called the office, hoping they would accommodate me and was told in no uncertain terms that there is no way in the world doctor can see me sooner then 1.5 month away. I know it is a norm, but I was hoping for some flexibility and options. I am NOT rating the doctor!! Just an office.

Excellent. Informative, Very Thorough, Gentle, and Comprehensive. The Medical staff is kind and considerate. I have been going to Dr. E almost since they opened. Over the years, I have had numerous diagnostic procedures and treatments done by Dr. E., all to my complete satisfaction. No scars.

Minnesota Dermatology does excellent work in a professional setting. Ive had treatment from Dr. Phil Ecker and Eric Englund, including Mohs Surgery that was painless and efficient. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
