I cant say enough about Dr. Werner and her entire staff! I had been taking my 7 year old daughter to another pediatric practice in Woodstock that was like a puppy mill and was only going down hill after recently coming under new management. When it came to a point that she needed her first dental work done, they spent more time discussing the payments than answering my questions about what they were recommending. So I sought a 2nd opinion. Again in Woodstock, but a private practice and he basically wanted to crown every baby tooth she had and again I felt their primary concern was my money. I asked about a payment plan and was told they dont do that because because they are a small practice and couldnt afford to carry a balance ( I was about to shell out $350 up front and there may have been an additional $200 depending on what she needed when he began working - so the $350 I was giving them at the time of service may have covered it all). So I put off the appointment and began another search. My family dentist Corinne Walker (who is absolutely awesome!) recommended Dr. Werner. Both my daughter and I felt very comfortable there. She treated me and my daughter with care and concern for my childs well being and explained everything in detail. She ONLY does what is NECESSARY, not what she can get away with to make money! She was so caring and gentle with my daughter and very patient throughout the 4 visits it took to get her straightened out. Money is definitely not the focus of this practice. Now that my daughter is finished I took my 4 year old son for his first dental experience and an easy breezy couple of fillings done he was in and out without knowing what hit him. Not to mention he looked like he was leaving a carnival with all the goodies and even a balloon special from Dr. Werner because of how good he did (mainly because she felt bad that he got a little upset toward the end). Everyone there treated my kids as if they were their own and I couldnt ask for more! Please dont hesitate to trust your childrens care to them!

Ive been taking my son here for several years, since our regular dentist told me that at 4 years old, he needed root canals. Four years later, my son has had several root canals, several extractions (at oral surgeon), a couple bridges installed, and countless fillings. They caught cysts and other issues early so they could be treated. Their early efforts to ensure proper tooth growth and spacing has allowed his teeth to come in straight. Orthodontist says he wont need braces, at least not with the teeth he currently has. I have found the disposition and bedside manner of all staff and Dr Werner to be incredible. Their patience with the children is awesome, as well as with concerned parents. With all the work on my sons mouth, they were very comprehensive in generating a treatment plan and informing me of the associated costs and my personal financial responsibility after insurance. They were quick to treat, but cooperative with a payment schedule. Tonya at the desk is knowledgeable and thorough, and kind. The dental assistants are great with the kids. Dr Werner has allowed me to bring my son in at 7:30 in the evening for "emergency" issue. In that same type of situation, my previous experiences had been that other providers would have just said to make an appointment in the morning, but Dr Werner had me send photos to her phone and called me back immediately to have me bring him in. This entire group really cares about the children and their dental and overall health. When I took my son in for a procedure, they saw I had my two-year-old with me as well. They asked to do a quick "check up," more so to have my daughter lay in the chair for the first time and relieve any anxiety than to poke around in her mouth. The entire facility is decorated for kids, with TV and toys in the waiting area and TVs on the ceilings in the procedure areas. I have found Werner pediatric dentistry to be the tops in service and care. With all the visits, I dont have a single complaint, which is next to impossible.

The first office visit was great, I was very pleased. However the visit after and experience with the front office staff was unacceptable. Our son attempted to have a procedure done with nitrous and it didnt work well. So we were going to schedule sedation. Our insurance doesnt cover the cost, so during the time I paid for the first "failed procedure I asked of I could put money towards the cost of the sedation. They said that wouldnt be a problem.... That turned out to be a nightmare! During a conversation with Tonya in the the front about what I put down and what the difference was she attempted to argue with me, tell me what I paid for and tried to belittle me. I let the office extremely pissed. For one, no one should argue with a patient and secondly especially when It comes to patients payments dont dare tell them their wrong. As I left the office Tonya called and apologized for her attitude but that was too over the top. I cancelled all our sons future appointments and went elsewhere . Here we are almost 4 months after I put a deposit on his sedation and Im still waiting on my refund . There excuse is they are waiting on the insurance to pay on his extraction! Me putting a deposit on his sedation has nothing to do with a prior procedure. I paid for the prior procedure, they has insurance authorization for it and yet still your going to hold funds??? Thats just crooked. Lesson learned. And I will warn anyone and everyone not to go to their office. The Doctor should be ashamed to have an office manager with such a terrible attitude and temperment.

Stay away from this place by all means. One of my kids treated there has severe dental anxiety and this place was incapable to calm the child down for treatment. They were pushing sedation on us so that the child can be treated in a single treatment. Finally, gave us an ultimatum that they have to release the patient because we as parents absolutely refused sedation for baby teeth to be treated. We chose to voluntary release all three of our kids and go elsewhere. I guess the amount of money they lost across all three kids made them call DFACS on my family. Yes, that is correct, they called DFACS on us for this. Not a single person we told about this could believe this, nor members of medical profession we talked to. No one ever heard of DFACS being called on parents for refusing to put their child down for work on baby teeth. DFACS case is closed, my child that has severe dental anxiety went through a first normal treatment on Wednesday and is finally over the hump when it comes to dentists. This place cares nothing about you as patient but just your wallet. Stay away unless you want to deal with DFACS if you do not abide by their financial plans. I am giving one star because of web site limitation; otherwise, it would be zero.

We love Werner Pediatric Dentistry! All the staff is extremely friendly and makes the environment fun for the kids. At WPD you are treated as if you are their main priority. Weve been to other practices that herd you from station to station making you feel more like another set of teeth than an actual client. Dr. Werner takes her time to see each child and discuss the pros and cons of every procedure with each parent. She also understands the financial burden dental treatments can pose to a family and will discuss alternatives to the more expensive procedures. She is definitely a dentist with the sole purpose of making sure every child has proper dental health!
