Took my daughter there as a new patient. I was told that a first time appointment takes a couple hours but we were there for 4 hours! Ridiculous. One of the office staff came into the room while the dentist was cleaning my daughters teeth. She wanted to know if we wanted a "medicated rinse that they recommend one time a year". It was $85.00. My daughter and I both said we didnt want it. And Dr. Sales was right there and heard us. Then he said he is putting a fluoride rinse on my daughters teeth and we didnt ask for that either. They have one of those electronic signature pads right there by the chair which goes to show you they are just out for money and they dont care about their patients. The office lady asked us to sign for what we wanted to pay for. They turned the TV screen off and show you the charges. I felt like we were on Lets Make A Deal instead of a dentist office. Then I got the Explanation of Benefits today from my insurance. I didnt realize that they took panoramic X-rays of my daughters teeth and didnt bother to check with the insurance. Insurance will only pay for bitewing X-rays yearly. The panoramic is every 3 to 5 years. I was going to use Canton Smiles for myself but cancelled my appointment. I went somewhere else and although my previous dentist closed his practice, another dentist took over his practice. He had my X-rays and records. My daughter and I went to the same dentist. So when I went to my new dentist, they already knew that insurance doesnt pay for panoramic X-rays but every 3 to 5 years. So Canton Smiles should know this too. But instead they never checked and got my daughter back there and she didnt know any better. Now my insurance is telling me its my responsibility for these X-rays. Also they billed my insurance $90 for oral hygiene instruction. A "fluff" charge for sure. My daughter knows how to brush her teeth. She is almost 19 and was instructed early on and all through the years on proper oral hygiene. Im going to call Canton Smiles in the morning (7/7/2017) and if they wont work with me, Im going to call the Fraud Hotline listed on my EOB and let them know what this place does. While my daughter is an adult, she still lives at home with both her dad and I. She doesnt work right now but the insurance is stating its her responsibility. Canton Smiles is in the wrong here by not asking us to get my daughters X-rays from her previous dentist and billing us for services we did not want. DO NOT go to this place!

Be very careful they will try and bill your insurance for fluff charges. Billed mine for oral hygiene instructions($75) and fluoride which is only covered for 18 yr old and younger they also took picture of my teeth with some color camera also not covered never explained none of this charges...this were thing that were not needed. I later went to another dentist in Canton and he said I did not need all of that. I was stupid and agreed to a in house payment plan (while still in the dental chair butting me on the spot to sign) and should have requested a written estimated they set it up for services that I had not had done yet and ended up not being able to get done. Called I dont know how many times asking to speak to someone about and itemized bill. Now I am in collections and I am in the process of contacting my insurance that I had at the time and let them know of their practice. Also this place is not on the Better Business Website...interesting.

I saw their online deal for cleaning, exam and digital x-rays for $59, dont buy into it!! I came in there wondering why it was so cheap, I should have believed my own intuition. I asked the x-ray technician if all the x-rays were only $59 and she said it was, I also asked the lady cleaning my teeth and she confirmed the same price. After all the xrays, exam and cleaning were done and it came down to signing the paperwork it was actually around $800 dollars!!! They told me the insurance takes care of all of it and that I dont pay anything...beware they will charge your insurance an arm and a leg. This sort of advertising is a SCAM!!! If you guys want to win big money dont sign that paperwork accepting the 800 charge, instead refuse to sign and see where itll take you. If it goes to court then you may win a pretty penny!

Please do not go to this dentist. They advertise a special of $59, but have no intentions of honoring. It is a total bait and switch. You arrive and the first thing they do is take all of your X-rays. Then the waiting begins up to an hour and a half, before they tell you they must do major work on your mouth and it must be done that day. If you do not agree then you owe them hundreds for the X-rays. In other words they have tricked you. They want you to buy their insurance to save money, plus make you wait hours. Who has ever spent 4 hours trying to get a first time check up???? Total rip off!!!!! Please spread the word and get practices like this out of business.

This place sucked. I was there for over 2 hours after they called me and asked if i could come in before my appointment because they had a opening, i was getting a xray, exam, and cleaning. My wife was sitting in the waiting room waiting for me and even asked the lady at the front desk how long it usually takes and she said about a hour and then they rushed my cleaning due to the fact it yad been 2 hours. They werent even busy! Most of the time i was there i was sitting in the room waiting for someone while I watched TV. Not a single person was in the waiting room when i got there or when i left. My wife said i was the only one there. I will not be going back to this place

If you have all day to sit at a dentists office... then this is the place for you. I arrived before my appointment and was taken back 10 mins late. Then I was informed it would only take an hour and a half, but here I am... still sitting in the dentists chair waiting for my cavities to be filled 2 and a half hours after I arrived.. this is the second time this dentists office has done this. I even informed them I was on a time schedule. Unfortunately, I think I will be here at least for another hour. . Ugh.
