I saw Dr. Giese first upon recommendation and a few other times when other doctors in the practice were unavailable. On one occassion, I had visited due to a throat infection - I was asked about my current prescriptions, one of which was birth control, and was then subjected to his strong religious tirade about how sex will never mean anything to me because Id had it outside of marriage. He went on to spew his opinion about how my future marriage was going to be forever tarnished due to my pre-marital sexual encounters. I was in such shock that I couldnt even say a word. Another visit to Dr. Giese (trust me, if I hadnt been desperate I would not have gone back) for a mild case of tonisillitis resulted in horrible side effects due to the "overkill" strength of prescription he gave me. Most doctors would prescribe penicillin, which had always done the trick for me, but instead he prescribed the same antibiotic given to anthrax patients (Levaquin). Besides paying over $100 when I could have paid $4, every bacteria in my body, good & bad, was wiped out and I suffered with the results for a month after. Ive learned my lesson and went to another practice altogether.

I went to see Giese today because my weight has once again gone up. I have lost a hundred pounds on three separate occasions in my life. This time decided I wanted some medical help instead of doing it by myself again. Todd decided to tell me about all the good saints in the Christian religion who suffered to obtain their goals and gave me some papers which suggested In a nut shell I go on a vegan diet. I have done similar diets in order to lose the weight and my point specifically was I did not want to suffer through one again. Todd didnt seem to care and more specifically seemed more concerned about his religion than my needs! I will not go back and am looking for a primary care provider that specializes in weight control. What a disappointment!

I just have to say this doctor is amazing with children and all of his patience....now people are getting angry and talking like he threw religion down their throat...well shut up...part of being a Dr is giving advice and experiences. If you want medication go to a science lab for Gods sake. If you wany medical advise and help...go to him. One guy said on here that he threw his file on the desk and said cancel it....i highly doubt he would do such a thing because I saw him in there screaming his head off during my appointment. He did not slam his file. He calmly told him to get out of his face. And he walked out. All in all i rate this doctor 5 stars...

He asked me a series of rude questions, unrelated to my reason for the visit, and when I told him, very calmly I might ad, that I didnt make an appointment to discuss such questions, I just want an exam because I was in alot of pain, he stood up, opened the door, and yelled "dont give me attitude", then yelled "cancel it", to the receptionist as he slammed my file down on the desk, and walked off in a huff. I walked out, what utter unprofessionalism.

My husband has been a patient for 10 years and our son and I have been a patient of Dr. Giese for two years now. He has always been wonderful. He always prefers a natural solution rather than immediate medication which I love. If I call with a question he calls me back personally. His staff is so kind too. I hope he never retires!
