I have been to Little Alsace twice, and after tonight, I will not be returning. I signed in, and sat down in the waiting room at the chair closest to the check in window, on the left. I noticed a few people in and out, then no other patients. Just myself. I heard the girls behind the desk talking about who did what, joking about things, discussing evening plans, etc. TWO HOURS after sitting there, I finally went up to the window and asked if I was going to be seen or if I should come back another day since it was already 5:30. The woman mentioned that I was never put into the system, so they didnt know I was here, even though they had removed my name tag from the sign in sheet. I guess they never bothered to look just below the window and see me sitting there. Gossiping was a bit more important, and the girls never apologized. The only reason I did not throw a fit while I was there is because Dr. Benavides, and the X-ray tech, Laura, calmed me down. Ive never heard of anyone having a bad experience here. However, both times I have been there the girls at the desk lack customer service skills. Look at me when youre talking to me, and would it hurt you to be congenial or check the waiting room from time to time?! The doctor is the only reason I will be giving this one star experience a two star rating.

This past weekend while driving through Castroville on our way to the hill country, my daughter started showing signs of being sick. Even though the clinic had closed over an hour earlier, we tried our luck, knocked on the door and Dr. Neel took us right in. He did not have to help us--as this was not an emergency--but he checked her out, diagnosed her with strep throat and called us in the prescription we needed so she would feel better and enjoy the weekend. He could have turned us away but he didnt. Thank you, Dr. Neel--we will never forget you.

Three stars for getting in & out with little delay. One star for blatant misdiagnosis. I shelled out $155 to be told I had a cold with pinkeye, when my doctor diagnosed that it was simply bad allergies. With some amazing rx strength allergy med, Im doing better now. The UC doc should have been able to differentiate. It was Friday afternoon & was worried about my eye, & at 4pm, there wasnt time to get to my pcs office. Looking back, I should have just waited for Monday.

Ive worked 30 yrs in Medical Centers, the front desk people are a very poor example of an efficiently run facility! Waiting times are ridiculous, 3 people in the waiting room for almost 2 hours ?? Come on? Insurance cards not returned? Hearing gossip?? What a shame because the Drs are well thought of!!! What kind of a business mgr do the have!!! Rate one star for Docs!

If you call and get a price on something on a weekday dont go down there on the weekend because of price doubles make sure you get the persons name who you talk to.

I am retired military with a sick daughter. I was turned away due to it being a weekend and could not get authorization from tri-care prime. They did not even try.

Im sorry, but December 30th is NOT a holiday. Opening at 10am is unacceptable and unexpected. Thanks for the 40 minute drive for NOTHING.
