I strongly recommend to anyone reading this to never go to this location. The vet techs are awesome but thats about it. My cat developed a sarcoma between her shoulder blades where the vet had been giving her all her vaccines. When I took my cat to another vet they were shocked that he did this because they had discovered cats were getting sarcoma because of it and therefore have been giving it lower on the leg instead. I vividly remember Dr. Skilling injecting my cat between the shoulder blades and mentioned that it is where he does it because its painless. In 1997, the AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) came out with the strong recommendation to never use the scruff area for vaccines. Evidently, Dr Skilling did not take this recommendation seriously or was not keeping up with his continuing education. I think his licence should be revoked. Also, if youre bringing your cat in for yearly vaccines, I will stop. Research online what the risks are. My cat died from the Sarcoma that grew on her back thanks to the vet and she also had kidney failure which is another symptom of being over vaccinated. My cat suffered greatly towards the end of her life and the amount of money we spent on her care due to his negligence will never be recuperated. Look up catinfo website and read all the articles. My friends have vets who explained to them, the risks involved and allow them to make the decision. Obviously Dr Skilling couldnt care less. More business for him if your pet is ill. If any vet tells you that your cat needs yearly vaccines, find another vet.

Stay away from these incompetent vets. Not only did they not give my dog bordetella i.e kennel cough, they missed the lyme vaccination. Now my dog has Lymes disease because they couldnt be thorough in their exam. When I pay a high price for vet services, I expect quality. Not here. In 30 years of dog ownership i have never had a vet not be diligent in giving all vaccines.. I have a hunting dog, he runs through the grass, plays outside, goes to dog parks etc and you would think a competent vet would understand that some dogs spend most of their time running in the outdoors. What else have they missed that people that have gone there dont even know about. If you want competent care, run away from this group. They cant even properly handle basic vaccines.

I had first gone to the Banfield at the Petsmart in Burnsville. The charged me a ton of money for every little thing, and when I had a question they looked at me like I was speaking a different language. I had enough, and went here instead. The difference was astounding. The staff here were much nicer. Dr Skilling talked with me about all the options, and I never felt like he was after my money. Not to mention he was 100 times more knowledgeable then the other people I dealt with before. He is only the second vet I have ever been to, but he was much better then first. I will continue to give him my business

I have been taking my pets to the Clinic for the past 30 years and have always been treated by a polite, efficient staff and very knowledgable physicians. My dog and multiple cats have received excellent care ranging from yearly checkups to major surgery. Each visit, both the staff and doctors take extra time with me and with my animals to explain everything that my animals need. I would highly recommend the Burnsville Animal Clinic to anyone that wants the best care for their pet. My family members living in the city bring their pets to be seen by Dr. Skilling because they know he gives the best care.

Ive been going to the Clinic for over 15 years (cats and dogs). My chihuahuas are people shy, but not with the staff or Dr. Skilling. In the past, the doctor has extend (WITH QUALITY) the life of 2 of my dogs. The staff and doctor are very knowlegable. They always have time to answer my questions and make room in their schedules if I have what I think is an "emergency". I have every confidence in Dr. Skilling and trust my "babies" to him. Ive recommened the clinic to my friends (their pets now go to the clinic). The clinics fees are also very reasonable.

Doctor Skilling and his staff are knowledgeable, compassionate, kind, and honest. We have taken our cat to other clinics that have had a difficult time handling him when he is frightened. Dr. Skilling has been able to work with him without immediately putting him under. The Dr. explains treatment options, and doesnt recommend unnecessary procedures and medicines. He has provided great care for our cat. We really appreciate him and his staff, especially after the experiences we have had elsewhere.

They did a great job. My cat has been having problems due to cancer and old age. I brought him to Banfield to start and then the U of M. Banfield charged me a lot and did very little. The U of M was expensive but did a decent job. I finally brought him to this clinic and they did an amazing job. They did everything they could for a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend them and wish I had been bringing him there the entire time.

Dr. Skilling was completely unprofessional towards me and my animal. He berated me and yelled at my pet and was entirely unhelpful. I will never go back to this clinic if only for the fact that he is the doctor. I will say, however, that the technician staff was very friendly and helpful and were the one redeeming quality about this clinic.

Dr. Skillings & his staff are very helpful. My wife took our first dog to them at first b/c of convenience location but she soon came to liked them for not pressuring her to take in the dog for every problem (shes overprotective and calls for every problem). They usually tell her what she needs to do and thats it.

The staff here is always so friendly and helpful, and the service is always personalized. As soon as I say our pets name, they remember who I am and have an incredible amount of helpful knowledge and advise, no matter what were calling for! I would definitely recommend Burnsville Animal Clinic to anyone :)

Dr. Skilling was amazing! I am a first time puppy owner and he answered all of my questions and gave me great advice. Very knowledgeable. The rest of the staff was great. Very friendly place that offers excellent service at a low cost. Very happy that I did not go to Banfield.

We visited Burnsville Animal Clinic when we first got our first pet, Leo. The staff is very welcoming and friendly with him, even though he is a bit aggressive; they are very patient and take good care of him. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Dr. Skilling is very professional and thorough when caring for our beloved Pepper! We wouldnt go anywhere else - we switched to Burnsville Animal Clinic about 6 years ago and find the care is superior at lower cost than our previous vet.
