DO NOT take your pet here. I repeat, do not take your pet here! I was reccomended by my general vet to take my rabbit here after she was exhibiting signs of an allergy to hay .This included runny eyes and running into walls. Let me say that again to be clear, she had a case of runny eyes and was running into things as if she couldnt see them. That was my main concern. I made that VERY clear to her. My rabbit has been taken care of properly to a T. Never had any major issues. I brought her in, the vet checked her out. She then proceeded to tell me she didnt know what was wrong. Okay.. Are you kidding? I get pets are difficult to assess but come on! Supposedly she was a vet for some lengthy time but had no answers. I didnt think to much of it at the time but looking back, she did NOT even bother to look at or into the eyes of my rabbit. Less than three weeks later, I bring her to another vet who took one look at her and proceeded to shine a light in her eyes because she was very concerned about my rabbits eyesight. She told me then my rabbit was COMPLETELY blind. She even showed me direct tests proving she has been blind for quite a while. WHY did the so called EXOTIC vet at Valley View with so much experience, not even bother to look in my rabbits eyes!? Especially when my main concern was her runny eyes and running into walls! I guess she wanted to get her late afternoon appointment done with and head home early. She didnt seem to take any interest in the health of my rabbit. Never been so frustrated with a vet in my entire life. She was in and out and didnt even bother to notice or care about my rabbit. Not to mention, couldnt even tell me my rabbit is blind! Please, take your business elsewhere, this is not the place to put your pets life at risk due to a lazy vet! Stay away, far away.

I highly recommend anyone with an exotic animal, or even those with dogs and cats to go here!!!! Dr.’s Larry and Michelle Tholl are both extremely knowledgeable and skilled veterinarians! I have both a dog and a rabbit and they have done so much for me and my animals! The staff is friendly, prompt, and call to make sure my loved ones are doing well after a surgery or other invasive procedure. Their clinic is about a half hour from where I live, but I have yet to find anyone else I trust as much to take care of my boys! The drive seems a short distance to go when I know my animals will receive the best, most thorough, quality, and ethical care that they can get! Their clinic is really nice, they have an assortment of products for sale, and always have good advice for helping me break my bunny’s bad habits! So honestly, if you’re not taking your pets here, they’re not getting the best care they could be! Again, I highly recommend everyone make Valley View their vet clinic and you’ll understand why I am so happy and willing to write such a long review! Thanks Dr.’s for making sure I have my pets with me for the long run!!! :)

I brought my bearded dragon here on a recommendation from a friend. First time after she had laid eggs and had one broken inside of her. I dropped her off in the morning and they updated me with her condition in the afternoon, and I conferred with Dr. Tholl (the husband) when I went to pick her up. Exotic exams tend to be very expensive but I feel they charged a very fair rate compared to other exotic vets Ive been to. The 2nd time the same dragon was having hip problems. I had to take her in a couple times and talked with both Dr.s. They were so incredibly helpful with suggestions and treatment options. The staff there is awesome too! Last time with a different dragon I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Nalezny, who actually happened to be on my short list of back-up vets in case for some reason I couldnt make it to Valley View! She was wonderful as well, she definitely knows her stuff and I look forward to seeing her again for a follow-up.

This place is fantastic - I have brought my pet hedgehog, Smee, to Larry for the last two years both for regular check-ups and health concerns and have always had a wonderful experience. The staff are incredibly friendly and are always happy to see Smee and I. Larry is incredibly knowledgeable, and I am always so pleased to see him handle and interact with Smee as if he was his own beloved pet. I am able to call with questions any time and he is prompt to reply. I havent ever seen Michelle, but I hear only good things as well about her experience and expertise. Highly recommend Valley View, especially to those with exotic pets.

Holy moly. I dont know if I can go to any other vet. Im sure there are other awesome ones out there, but VV has been *so* good to us. My wife and I have 2 guinea pigs and the doctors and techs know their stuff. Any questions we have are answered clearly. I never leave there wondering if my pet is getting the best care. Dr. Larry, Dr. Michelle, and all the rest of the staff there are running a top-notch, caring, knowledgeable, and very skilled veterinary practice. If youre looking for a vet in the cities, the drive to Burnsville is *well* worth it for these guys!

My family was recommended to Valley View Hospital from a good friend. We brought our beloved dog, Taz, there. Taz was over 12 years old and unable to walk, eat, or drink water. He was suffering terribly and it was finally time to say goodbye. The team at Valley View explained the procedure and options in detail so my family knew exactly what to expect. Throughout the emotionally draining procedure, the Valley View team was emotionally supportive, reverent, and professional. My family and I cannot thank Valley View Pet Hospital enough.

I took a paralytic redfoot tortoise Charlie in to Valley view. They were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They were able to immediately pick out issues and prioritize treatment based off of severity. A surrendered animal, Charlie is now faring much better. For awhile there, no one was sure he would make it. And while he will probably never move his front legs again, he can finally kick his deformed little back legs and will excitedly eat offered strawberries. I would recommend this vet for exotics.

I tried a different exotic animal vet before finding Valley View and I was very disappointed. I am so glad I found Valley View- they are extremely knowledgeable about exotics and never make me feel like they are rushing me out when I have questions/concerns. They are also cognizant of the costs associated with caring for an exotic pet and try to work with your budget. I love this vet so much that I am willing to drive the 40 minutes across the cities to get there- they are worth it!

They were wonderful with our two ferrets, and were able to give us reasonable treatment options that gave us extra time with them we would not have received elsewhere. They really welcome you in like family when your animals are their patients, and are always friendly and knowledgeable. We will continue to use them and have chosen to bring our dog there over less expensive options because of their service. Peace of mind is priceless!
