I have been going to East Lake for a few years now, ever since my fiancé (then girlfriend) and I decided to move in together and combine forces caring for her elderly lab (who I have fell hopelessly in love with, dog and woman). We also have two cats, Sid and Frankie, who are regulars with Dr Antenucci at East Lake. Our lab, Larry (a female, haha) had been having some breathing issues for the past few years that we attributed to old age. The breathing complications got worse towards the end of last year, as Larry had a series of episodes where she basically couldnt breathe and had to be rushed to the vet and put on oxygen. This happened 3 times within about a month and a half and each time I was sure she was going to pass. Dr Antenucci suggested looking into Laryngeal Paralysis, or Lar Par, as a cause of the breathing issues and explained the procedure to correct the problem. A rather spendy procedure but one we deemed necessary because our Larry, although 14 at the time of surgery, was not at all an elderly dog in a physical sense. She has so much energy and still loves to run and play, but unfortunately those things she loved caused her breathing to become stressed and eventually, one of those fun things she loved to do, along with greeting guests and barking at the mail man would trigger an episode. We basically couldnt have people over, couldnt walk her, couldnt play tug-of-war. Nothing. The procedure was scheduled to be done the first week in December, on site at East Lake, but Larry had an episode a week before the surgery and we were so stressed out that she would end up dying before the surgery. The staff at East Lake suggested contacting Inver Grove Animal Hospital (who East Lake does business with for various surgeries) to see if they had an opening at a earlier date, which they did. But that was East Lake giving up our business ($2500 procedure) and didnt bat an eyelash and were very supportive of our concern for getting our pup into surgery asap. She had the surgery on December 2nd and is fully recovered and back to enjoying life as only a Lab knows how. Dr Antenucci provided us with the necessary information to make an informed decision on whether or not to move forward with the procedure and that is so incredibly appreciated. Side note - With the help of our friends and family we raised over half of the funds for the procedure from a gofundme shared only on our facebook pages! We have wonderful friends!

East Lake Animal Clinic is the best animal clinic I have ever used. The staff there is exceptionally courteous, friendly and they always remember you when you come back. I used to use a clinic that was three blocks away due to convenience but after a referral from an uncle, I tried East Lake Animal Clinic even though it was a lot farther away. I specifically wanted to complement Dr. David Antenucci. He was so sincere and caring. I also found him to be very knowedgeable and absolutely friendly. In the short period he had known Dante he took very good care of him (and me and my fiance as well) from the initial diagnosis right up until the very end. I would gladly reccomend East Lake Animal Clinic and Dr. Antenucci (specifically) for any of your pets health needs. He had just added 3 more of our pets to their list of future patients.

Ive been taking my animals to elac for years and have always been happy with them. They really connect with the animals and with me. They are always available to follow up on my concerns. They explain everything to me and discuss all of the treatment options with me. They are very helpful and considerate of my fixed income status, and help me to make the best choices, leaving standing orders for ear drops, etc. They are the kindest people. I have had to put down a few of my animals, and they were very comforting, assuring me that I had done the right thing. The staff is all around just great. I would never go any where else, as I trust them totally.

In summary: Down-to-earth, pragmatic, and transparent. I chose this vet after several friends recommended them for their ability to talk openly about prices and to not be pushy with treatment options. My experience with my new dog, at two appointments, has reflected these qualities. The vet, Dr. Dale, listened and discussed her philosophy of veterinary care. She is clearly dedicated to providing the best care, and also to not doing unnecessary tests/treatments that rack up expenses. I love the vibe of this place, and have transferred my cats to this clinic as well.

This is hands down the best vet I have ever been too. My Fiancee and I had a cat that was diagnosed with Kitty-betes (diabetes). With help from them, some luck, a strict diet and regiment of shots. Our cat was fortunate enough to be cured. Even if the worse had happened I would give them 5 stars for their professionalism and love for every animal that walks through that door.

Doctor Dave is the one of the most caring physicians there. When I was a kid and went with my dad with Pepper or Kitty Sue Dave was not quite a full fledged dr. Today he is the man! Oscar adores him and lets him do what he needs to do. Dave is very honest and patient with Oscars weight. Thanks Sir!

I love these guys. When I had to put down my 14 year old hound dog this summer, the staff here made it as painless for me and my dog as the situation could be. Very warm hearted and fairly reasonable. But whatever the cost, this is where I would take my pets. Period.

Very friendly, go way out of their way to help, especially in difficult times. Really created a personal relationship with our dog, was the only vet she was comfortable with, and loved going there, obviously making it much easier to get her to go.

People are nice, not up-front about pricing when asked. I specifically said I didnt need to be shown how to give my cat insulin (done it before) even after explaining these she proceeded to do it anyway, and then charged me 36 for the consult.
