This is anything BUT a family practice. We have been patients or rather clients at this practice for well over a year now. Our 8 year old boy fell at his school last week, hit his head on the pavement and got a concussion. A week passed and he seemed better until he started complaining of headaches, dizziness and weakness 2 days ago. Dr Winigers practice states they have walk in hours for current patients every Monday and Friday so we took our son in this morning to see the doctor. We were turned away stating our problem was not urgent enough to warrant the doctors attention and we were given a 2:15pm appointment. Dr Winigers office is 2 blocks away from the school so we told the receptionist we would be right over as soon as we picked him up from school. After all they determined we dont have an urgent issue, there was no reason to skip school. By the time we made our way to the doctors office we were 8 minutes late. School bus traffic infront of the school was very heavy today. If you are a parent you are well aware how long it takes to pickup your kid from school. That did not matter to our so called pediatrician though. They stated they have a short day and do not intend to waste their time with late patients and turned us away again. For the second time today. They made us and our little guy very sad. The way they treated us was rude and disrespectful. Even if you think of a doctors office as a business, that is no way to treat your clients. Complete lack of compassion, understanding or caring. Words can not describe our frustration and disappointment.

I have gone to Dr. Winiger for over 20 years and she is by far the BEST doctor I have ever gone to. If I have had any type of medical emergency, her staff calls me immediately and they do their best to get me into the office asap. Dr. Winiger listens to you and has an excellent bedside manner and makes you feel well cared for. Her staff has always been outstanding and friendly. I highly recommend her as a GP.

Im absolutely beyond tired of having my problems ignored and dismissed. I was told my bleeding for 3 weeks was no big deal and if I bled for 3 months, THEN theyd put me on birth control. Absolutely ridiculous.
