By far my experience with Thorton Dental was the worst experience I have ever had at a dental office. The personnel was terrible. I was there to have two cavities fixed....$900, after insurance, to have this procedure completed. When I asked that I only do one that day for money reasons - they brought in 3 separate people to pressure me to have it all completed that day. Now, I understand that it is my fault for allowing them to make me feel pressured and for consenting. However, as a business, why would you ever even go to that level with a customer? If the customer says that is too expensive, say ok we will work with you to get the work completed that is good for you. Not, "well, you scheduled this" and "the work has to get done." I was very irritated when I left that day and I told them I wanted to pay EVERYTHING, and for them to never contact me again. I would no longer be a patient. Well, wasnt I surprised to recieve another bill on top of the $900 plus for a little less than $100....really? And lastly, the work that was completed....terrible. A gap was left in between two molars when the dentist filled in the cavity and now food always gets stuck in the gap. I am sure a great breeding ground for more problems. I dont know exactly what a fair amount is for the filling of two cavities, but Im sure the license review board would agree that $900 is far above that level. I would recommend anyone considering going to Thornton Dental Wellness go somewhere, anywhere, else.

Let me start by saying that my son loved this place and they did a great job with his cleaning. But I always had problems with the way they would bill be for things later. Earlier I paid everything out of pocket, but when I got an insurance, I clearly asked them if they would work under that insurance. Well, they provided me half truth. They DID NOT Say that they were out of network. They just said that they can work with the insurance. After getting a bigger bill, when I called them, NOW they say that they were NOT in the network to begin with. I was quite diappointed with such behaviour. This was not the only case, One more case was them doing a small procedure on my son, And I clearly asked if it was covered by the insurance and they garenteed it was, as you might expect, it wasnt and I had to pay it off (They were nice enough to wave off some fees... but still it was in hundreds of dollars...). Well, As much as my son loves to go here, finantially, I cannot afford to go there. Hope this information helps people to ask them clear questions about the insurances.

We first found Thornton Dental because my daughter had to have an emergency tooth extraction. I didnt go that day but my wife did and she said they were awesome and couldnt be happier. So, I took my wifes word for it and decided to go there for a regular cleaning and to get some long standing dental issues taken care of. From the first time I walked in the door I felt welcomed. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Thornton was happy and I felt like I was in good hands with their care. I have since gone back for a few visits to take care of all the work I needed done (a few cavities as well as some old silver/mercury feelings that I needed replaced) and have continued to be impressed. I am completely happy with Thornton Dental and I would recommend anyone in the area to check them out if they have dental health needs. Hope this review helps!

Dr. Thornton is absolutely amazing! I started seeing her 5 years ago, and both my teeth and periodontal disease were out of control. Since then, thanks to a plethora of work done by Dr. Thornton- root canals, fillings, bridgework, crowns-I have a smile I can be proud of. My gums dont swell constantly and hurt anymore. And, best of all, after years of horrific, traumatizing, and very costly experiences with other dentists, I look forward to my dental appointments. Seriously! I am always welcomed warmly and leave feeling empowered rather than embarrased. If you want dental work done correctly the first time as well as a genuine relationship with a dentist you can trust 100%, come here!

All too often I see people only write reviews when they have a negative experience, but after seeing all the POSITIVE reviews Dr. Thornton had I was completely unnerved despite it being such a unique situation. The reason being, my experience at Dr. Thorntons was beyond amazing, and their culture is one of warmth and intelligence that creates a dental experience unlike any other I have had. Oh - and it was also the best teeth cleaning I have ever had. Truly. My teeth look great and feel even better!

I had my first appointment today and cannot say enough positive remarks! The staff is incredibly nice and Dr. Thornton is lovely. They have all-natural and fluoride-free options for those who are concerned. Ive never been to an office that teaches you so much about dental health during an appointment-it made me want to pay more attention to my teeth! I left feeling like my personal preferences were respected and Dr. Thornton truly cared about my well-being. This will be my office forever!

Ive had dental anxiety ever since I was a young girl. My first trip to TDW was last May for the removal of my wisdom teeth. From the moment I walked in the door, I felt at peace. Somehow I have gotten on their database. I have asked to be removed by calling, emailing, and unsubscribing. I live in a completely different part of the country. Yet I continue to get notifications, surveys, and now a request to rate them publicly. They apparently dont have attention to detail or consider feedback when given. Please take this into consideration when placing your dental care in their hands.

Dr. Thornton and her team always take great care of this patient!!! I began seeing the Dr. a few years ago and have made many upgrades to my dental care (including the best toothbrush I have ever owned - OralB). While its never fun to visit the dentist, Dr. Thorntons practice goes out of their way to create an environment that is warm and inviting. THANK YOU!!!!

Dr. Thornton has been my dentist for close to a decade and her team has completely transformed my smile. I moved out of state for a year and made a monthly 9 hour road trip instead of switching offices. The turnover in the office can be a bit jarring, but Ive never gotten anything less than outstanding service.
