This is a review from my familys experience 2 years ago - I have used Bridgemill Eyecare for a number of years, but not since this visit and never again. Dr Furey is very nice and I have always gotten a spot on Rx from him. Dr. Covington was very rude to my adult daughter, but my real gripe is the Optician, Ms. Brock. I was purchasing new frames and my first pair of progressives. Ms. Brock put the glasses on me and measured and marked the lenses so the center of the grind would correspond with the center of my eye. The problem was, she did not adjust the frames for my face before measuring. When I returned to pick up the glasses, the frames were _then_ adjusted for my face, dropping them, making the center no longer accurate. Of course, being new to non-single vision lenses, I didnt not figure this out for a couple of weeks and after what Im about to share, youll see why I didnt even attempt to get it corrected. After picking up my new multi-hundred dollar glasses, I went back in the next day because the frames kept sliding down my nose. To stop this, the ear pieces had to be drawn to my ear so far the tips were pressing against my ear and very uncomfortable. Basically the temples where the wrong size. When I made the obvious observation and asked if they could get the correct size temples, I was told I would have to pay for them and the cost was outrageous. Should I have known my size of temples and been sure? Yes, but I would have also hoped the eye care "professional" selling me $300+ glasses would be good at their job and assure customer satisfaction before walking out the door. And what if I was a first time eye glass buyer? They are very proud of telling you how good they are and yes, except for Dr. Covington, they are very nice, but their technical expertise is nothing special and if they have your money and you have a problem, dont expect a lot of give to make it right.

All I wanted was a copy of my eye glasses prescription! I have moved out of state, but I only get one eye doctor visit per year on my insurance, so I relied on Bridgemill Eye Care to supply my prescription so I could purchase a new pair of glasses. The office staff could not be bothered to find an economical and timely way to get my prescription to me. I was lied to over the phone and treated as an inconvenience. When mailing and faxing were finally discussed, I was told that these are the only two ways the prescription could be sent. Despite supplying both my physical address and a fax number, the office staff did not send the prescription in any of the ways they said they would. When I called to ask about it a week after my first request, I was bullied, lied to, and given the run around while they tried to cover up the fact that they had been so unprofessional. When I finally got to speak with the actual doctor, she apologized so much it felt pathetic...but she did nothing to try to make the situation right. I dont know if the office is failing and that is why the office staff behaves in an ugly manner, but regardless of the reasons, you do NOT want to be treated this way. They are nice to you, I will say, when you are giving them money. I have discovered that their up-charge on the purchase of frames and lenses is extreme. If you do go see this doctor, definitely shop your purchase around. You will save hundreds of dollars.

Dr. Patel is a kind, educated and caring ophthalmologist. I had a serious issue with my left eye and she took the time to explain and show me imaging of my eye on the computer. My eye was in such bad shape I had to stop wearing contacts. She asked one of the office staff who happened to be off duty but in the office that day to make an emergency pair of glasses so I could get home. I believe the reviews need to be higher for Bridgemill Eyecare. So if you are looking at making them your Eyecare team, do so! Debbie who works up front made me also feel very welcomed and more at ease. Their office is beautiful.

I was looking for a pair of sunglasses to use while playing tennis and I picked out a pair of wrap-around Oakley frames. I have a very strong prescription and after trying to get used to them for a few months they still hurt my eyes while I wore them. I went back to BridgeMill Eyecare and was concern since I had had the glasses for a while that I would not be able to exchange them for something else, however , they were very understanding and exchange the glasses for a pair that were not the wrap around style and they work great. Thanks so much for the excellent customer service.

BEWARE! I was lied to over the phone. Quoted $10 copay and $30 pictures of my eye (if I got them that day) instead I was charged $50 and $90 with NO DISCLOSURE. What seemed to be a thorough eye exam was just for show because he lowered my prescription so much that I couldnt see out of my glasses when I got them. He was only interested in changing my copay to $50 so that he could file it as Medical. They wanted my money, but didnt seem to care if I was happy with my glasses at all. I wish I had read the reviews on this office before I tried them.

Took our 3 boys here for an eye exam. They helped get me an appointment to suit the hours I needed and when I had issues with my vision insurance, Paula worked with me so I didnt have to come back and was great about helping me get it situated. Plus since 2 of the boys needed glasses, the price was much better than the local place I went to. The glasses even came back very quick, even though it was near the holidays.

I needed an eye checkup and new glasses, as my current glasses were cracking, and was honestly not looking forward to the process. Well, today Bridgemill Eye Care changed my mind, as they made the experience highly enjoyable. The staff was friendly and helpful, and answered all of my questions. I recommend them for professional eye care and I’m looking forward to going back.

Paula is rude and has no social skills...with quick smartass answers to any questions you have about their pricing...this is a " Boutique" type place and way overpriced.....and from the way we were treated and the reviews i am reading...soon to be out of business ..
