We have a new schnauzer that had been sneezing and coughing all night. As Calusa Crossing is literally a 2 minute walk from my office it was an easy choice as far as convenience. Little did we know how wonderful this place is. When we called the person that my wife spoke to was caring and very nice. Even telling us to bring him in as soon as we could. Once we were there the staff were very friendly and the Vet was great. he said how there are tests that they could do but it would cost over $150 and he just didnt see the need for it as he said the kennel cough would go away in a week. Not many places turn down the opportunity for extra money but the Vet seemed more interested in the health of our new addition to our schnauzer family rather than the extra money. So, long story short, we are now making this the official vet for both of our Schnauzers. Great Place!

First off, when you decide you want a cute, cuddly pet... keep in mind theres GOING to be a COST. Pets ARE expensive if you care for them PROPERLY. They require yearly exams just like us humans. Unfortunately, I didnt realize that until I had already purchased my first dog. Even with that expense, I got a second dog. With that said, Dr. Woodby is an extraordinary veterinarian. I shopped around for "prices" before choosing Dr. Woodby as my pets Doc. His prices are comparable to his competitors if not lower, if you take into consideration that he only recommends what is TRULY necessary and nothing more. Ive been with Dr. Woodby for 10+ years and Ive NEVER had a complaint. Its rare to have to wait long and the staff are all pleasant and efficient. The best part is that he doesnt charge for all of his GREAT CONVERSATIONS... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I have been going to Dr. Steve Woodby for 20 years! You should DEFINITELY "take the risk"! He has prolonged my cats GOOD quality of life (when other vets told me there was "nothing they could do"). He ALWAYS has the best interest of my pets (AND my wallet) in mind. Ive taken 4 pets to him (both dogs & cats) over the years. He does not do unnecessary tests, yet always seems to treat my pets very wisely. His ability to trust his "gut" has made it possible to avoid off many more severe illnesses in my pets. I believe he is one of the absolute BEST VETS there is! I trust him with my animals implicitly!

Calusa Crossing Animal Hospital is the ONLY vet I will take my pets to. Dr. Woodby has cared for my animals for over 15 years. He is an amazing Doctor, and person. He has cared for the kittens I have adopted (one from his office!) all the way to seeing an older pets meeting their final days. His words of comfort at the loss of an older pet are from the heart. Each new pet I bring him he cares with professional skill and a great "bed side" manner. His staff is also great with the check ups, additional info when needed, and keep the entire office area extremely clean and inviting.

My critters have been patients for a long time. One of them is definitely a problem pet, diabetes was on the menu for him. Dr. Woodby and staff pulled him through his darkest hours. Only one in four survive the condition he was in. Yes, insulin twice a day is a pain in the a**, but...he lived. I attribute his survival to the fast actions of Dr. Woodby and his fandango staff. I was told the truth, I was kept informed, and heard the glee in the voices of his caregivers when he turned the corner. PRICELESS!

Dr. Woody and Dr. Ashby are both experienced and knowledgeable veterinarians. They have always treated my pets with care and take time to carefully listen to what I provide as input before determining a treatment plan if required. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They offer specials on dental cleanings and provide an app for me to review records order refills and make appointments. Clean and spacious exam rooms with surgical hospital on-site for numerous procedures if needed.

I recently started taking my dog to Dr. Woodby after reading the great reviews about him. I had noticed a lump near her neck and was fearing the worst. Dr. Woodby felt it and said it was nothing to be concerned about and it was a reaction from her previous shots. He didnt run any unnecessary tests to run up the bill and the lump went away just like he assured me. I also took her back for her yearly exam and shots and he spends time with you and explains everything.

Great,friendly helpful Drs Woodby and Ashby, as well as the outstanding staff. My pets and I have been with them for around 8 years now.Several of the animals are no longer with us due to different diseases, which everyone always gave their best tried and true opinion, options and treatment until there was no other way for the sake of the pets quality of life.. I will continue to stay with them as my remaining cat Max at the age of 8 needs continuing quality care.

First time here and these guys are amazing!!! My dog Kiera is really shy around people and is really scared of loud noises and they took the time to make her feel comfortable, make her feel safe. They were gentle with her. They also took the time to explain each medication that was prescribed as well as answering any questions my partner and I had. Overall they are phenomenal! Definitely will reccomend to friends and family with pets!!

The pets in our family have been patients of Calusa Crossings Animal Hospital for 27 years. When my cat passed away, they took care of everything for us, with such care and love. When I got married, my husband decided to change over to Dr. Woodbys office to take his dog and is more than happy. When his office moved, we followed. Taking Care Of Our Pets For Years! Calusa Crossing has been our goto vet clinic for years. Dr. Woodby and Dr. Ashby have taken care of all of our pets. We currently have 1 dog and 3 cats. I feel that their fees are reasonable and our pets are treated with care. They also provide a reduction in fees when first visiting with a pet adopted from Miami Dade Animal Services. Dr. Woody has proven time and again to be the best veterinarian there is. He just removed a large cancerous tumor from my rescues foot even though he is also heart worm positive. He has been working with me for the past two months and has helped me tremendously in saving this dogs life. I recommend him to absolutely everyone who is in need of a veterinarian.
