My husband and I have taken our very wild/anxious/BIG German Shephard Dog to Dr. Steven since we moved to Bristol in 2006. He is the most wonderful, personable, caring DR weve ever worked with. In early 2010 we relocated again to Big Stone Gap VA and ended up taking our dog to a closer vet and was VERY upset and dissatisfied w/the services. My husband contacted Dr. Steves office and was able to take our dog to work w/him, drop him off and pick him up at the end of the day. The staff treat you like family and Dr. Steve really cares about all of his patients! He was able to treat our dog quickly and affordably and weve even joked about calling him up to ask him to keep our dog while we are on vacation!

A few years ago, on the day after New Years Day, my wife and I had to have our retired Virginia State Police Patrol K-9 Alex put to sleep. Dr. Dotson and his staff had always taken extremely good care of him, but on this day they went above and beyond with the care and compassion shown to us on such a difficult day. We greatly appreciate everything Dr. Dotson and his team have done for us for so many years. A special thank you also to Emily, who was always so patient with our big black mean German Shepherd. We know Alex appreciated it!

There is not enough praise I can say about Dr. Steve. I had been recommended to him by a member of my family and I am so very glad I went. My cat was cared for and treated with compassion and wonderful competence. Dr. Steve told me honestly what was wrong and helped me to make the right decision, even though extremely difficult, for my kitty. He really cares about the animals. Its not about the money for him, but the love and care of the animals. I will never go anywhere else.

Dr. Steven Dotson is a God sent! He came in on a Sunday after church on his day off to help my baby. I didnt have enough money to take her to the Airport Vet and he really did go above and beyond helping us save money to get her meds and do everything in his power to help. Unfortunately we ended up putting Diamond to sleep but he still went above and beyond More vets should be life him!! I have definitely found a new vet!!

Dr. Dotson is absolutely amazing, hands down. My husband and I found a stray cat that we decided to keep. Binx had a lot of problems with worms where he had been a stray for so long, and Dr. Dotson went above and beyond to help fix the issue. He and his staff are so nice and showed real concern, and a real interest, in Binx and his well being. I would recommend Dr. Dotson in a heartbeat for any of your furbabies!

Dr. Dotson clearly enjoys being a vet, and really cares about the animals. Hes practical, has reasonable rates, and cares about every patient under his care. The staff was friendly and skilled. They do treat you like family! I work as a vet tech at an out of state vet clinic and I highly recommend Dr. Dotson. He really is wonderful. He was very patient and thorough with our cat, Conway.

Dr. Dotson really cares and was amazing in helping our family dog Rascal with his recent eye injury. He was so caring towards us all. I will highly recommend that all of my friends take their babies to Dr. Dotson. You can even send him a text message and ask him questions before or after hours. Wonderful friendly accommodating staff. Just absolutely the best!!

Dr Dotson is working very hard to pull our lil Golden Doodle out of a very sick time. My wife and I are very appreciative and cannot gush enough about Steves approach to our dog and us. As we speak, she is at his house for the night so he can keep a better eye on her. Regardless of everything, this guy is giving it his all.
