I had hoped to find a quality dental practice, but sadly that was not my experience. From DAY ONE I experienced problems and difficulties. After waiting more than a month to start work on new partials, Absecon Family Dental (AFD) said they were waiting for my insurance companys approval. I called my insurance and they said they gave AFD the required information and approval the first day I was there. The majority of associates with whom I dealt were very nice including my dentist, Dr. Kaplan, but a few employees were not. The reason I went to them is a tooth and a clasp broke off my original upper partial that was made 5 years earlier. However, my dentist had since passed away and I needed to get it fixed. That original partial was made extremely well, never even needed one adjustment. The new lower partial had to be made twice. Both new partials needed many, many adjustments. When their lab fixed the original partial, they didnt even match the shade of the new tooth. The new upper partial broke in half after only two months. It broke while in my mouth and I wasnt even eating. I did nothing that would have caused it to break. I asked them to reinforce the partial, but they did not. It broke again in exactly the same place. Again it was in my mouth and I was not eating. AFD had it fixed again, but this time had it reinforced at the break. This partial had now broken twice within one year. Several more months passed and it broke a third time, in an area that was not reinforced. This time a tooth and a clasp broke off. As the same first two brakes, the partial was in my mouth and I was not eating when it broke. Because this partial was so poorly made, I had expected AFD to accept responsibility for the cost. This time I no longer had insurance and the receptionist refused to give me an appointment unless I payed them $157.00. I asked her to speak to my dentist about this, but she did not. This partial now sits in a container of water unusable. Thank God I still had my original partial. If you seek a quality practice....DO NOT GO TO ABSECON FAMILY DENTAL! They do not stand behind their work! I had dealt with inconvenience, lies, and too many attitude problems with staff. Sincerely, sadly and sorry to say...not worth the time and trouble.

This was my second visit to absecon dental in the past 2 years. My first visit I had 2 of my wisdom teeth extracted and last week I came back to have the remaining too. Waited an hour which seems forever, but after reading the reviews it doesnt seem to bad. When it was time to wake the teeth out I was numbed and the dentist began the procedure. That dentist had absolutely no regards for the way he handled the procedure. I felt like he was rushed so badly to get the next patient my jaw actually cracked while trying to pull it out. Lets just say rough was putting it lightly. I honestly felt he was trying to get it out as fast as possible no matter how rough he had to make it. So here I am almost a week later, no pain meds because the 15 they gave me were gone the first 4 days, with a throbbing jaw almost unbearable to the point I cant carry out my daily activities. Ibuprofen does not help. Since the first experience was no where near this terrible I didnt think twice about it. For the next person , I advice you to go to an oral surgeon because even thinking twice about this place. Oh and the best part I almost forgot ! When I was checking out after the procedure the woman behind the counter goes okay it will be $125 dollars. I said my insurance doesnt cover it ? She goes not everything ... which is strange because my insurance tends to cover mostly everything. I hand her my debit card and I asked her one last time if she was sure my insurance doesnt cover it . She said no you have delta dental right ? No! I do not ! So she finds my correct information and says "oops" and hands me my card back. Oops is right ! Glad I said something.

This place is the worst. I read the poor reviews prior to going and gave it benefit of the doubt. I understand that some people just want everything impatiently. I called and spoke to someone on the phone from there and they even assured me that the reviews were incorrect. My first appointment was for 2:45pm. They didnt see me until 5:45pm. After I was seen, I had to come back for a followup procedure 4 days later at 1045am. Here I am at my followup. I came at 1040am, and even thought about coming at 9am. (Glad I didnt do that) Its 1230pm and still sitting here in this waiting room. I went to the desk to get some info on my wait time and the young lady said there were still people ahead of me. Id rather be in pain in my house than wait here in this place. Hearing other people around me complain about there pain and wait time only adds to the frustration. Ill never come back to this place and will find another place. As a business owner myself, bad reviews can have a negative impact on a customer base. Im not complaining -- just giving everyone else a heads up about what to expect before coming here. I suppose theyll read this awful review and reach out to me, (or not) but it wont change anything about how they run Absecon Family Dental, since all the other bad reviews are the same. Finally, whats interesting about Absecon Family Dental, is that the have all the great reviews on the website and all the worst reviews on the Web itself.

I made sure I had the 1st two appointments for me and my husband. So please tell me how if we had the 1st appointments I waited an hour & when I was done I saw my husband sitting, so I waved him to lets go & he said he was still waiting to be seen. Three hours later we both walk out (yet our appointments were the 1st of the day) as well as I got my exam was told ok bye. I said do I have cavities she said umm let me check what that doc wrote, o yes you have 6. I looked at her and said I have 6 cavities and no one was going to tell me? O and a root canal . Im a little secptal bc my husband needs 2 and I need 1. I dont think that is right I read prior reviews were they were toor they need them too and had second opinion and they didnt need them. As well as I went there three years ago and they were great no waits nice people now every time is hour or more wait n the young girls behind the desk are so rude, as well as manager if you complain she makes up.excuses for lack of care as well as looks at you like your a idiot!! Im about to switch walked out in tears bc I was so upset waited over an hour n said o we need to still verify ur insurance. So Im thinking I cone all the time what is she doing well eventually I left n reschudoed over phone n asked make sure its a day my insurance is verified . the lady said you been conmung for 5 years we have your info. I said are u kidding me? I was so mad I could o my laugh!!!
