I came here because my childrens pediatrician joined about a year ago. I have also seen another doctor within the practice. My pediatrician is no longer with them so I will review the practice in and of itself, followed by a comment about our pediatrician leaving. Ive never had a problem scheduling appointments. The front desk staff is nice enough. The nursing staff has always been great to my children and to me. Very warm and friendly. Ive seen one doctor besides our main pediatrician and she was fine. She provided standard care, reiterating protocols, and not very interested or helpful when I brought up nutrition and how it related to my childs issue. You know. The norm. But she was kind, friendly with the children and listened well. I do have an issue with not having been told that my pediatrician of ten years had been let go. (To clarify a little about him, he was actually quite mainstream and a proponent of vaccines, telling me in particular which ones he had seen eradicate diseases over his career. He prescribed antibiotics for ear infections and hydrocortisone for eczema. He didnt seem a number one fan of gluten-free and dairy-free diets. The difference with him is that he listened, was AMAZING with the kids and did not make you feel bad about the choices you made as long as your children were healthy and safe. He would also say things like "warm liquids and rest" instead of tylenol all the time. Im sorry that they no longer have this highly experienced and wise man on staff.) So here I am with my children due for their wellness checks and a third baby about to be born. I was never notified that my doctor is no longer with them and found out by fluke chance. Their timeline to transfer records is slow as molasses, so while I really need a pediatrician ASAP (who does more than reiterate protocols), I am in limbo, quite possibly til after this baby is born. So, bottom line is if you want standard care with nice people and this place is convenient for you, its probably ok. Realize that medical records (and possibly other paperwork-related issues) are inefficient.

Heres whats unacceptable; being put on hold twice for more than 15 minutes each and not having the patient portal available. I called at 4:30 pm today, first the Peachtree Corners office and then after 15 minutes, I hung up and called the Norcross office. In the 30 minutes I was on the phone I had to hear the looping message telling me to sign up for the patient portal. The irony was that I was calling (vs. using the patient portal) because the patient portal was down. In being on hold for 30 minutes I had to hear the same message over 120 times. This review is on Pediatric Partners of Gwinnett, not Dr. Abrams. We adore Dr. Abrams and my children have been patients of his since we moved to Georgia two years ago. Sadly, the care of the front desk staff we have received since he joined Pediatric Partners of Gwinnett has been abhorrent. Additionally, the rhetoric they post for vaccines on their Facebook, runs counter to the reasons we saw Dr. Abrams in the first place (he is one of the few pediatricians who was open to a delayed vax schedule). That aside, from being put on hold for unusually long times, to waiting in the waiting room for 60+ minutes for a scheduled sick appointment, to labs being lost, to no follow up for very sick children (when labs were lost), and to the patient portal being down, this being on hold thing for half an hour really is the last straw. We need our children to be under the care of a practice who values their patients time. Incidentally, I went to submit this message through the contact page on their website (which is also connected to their contact page on their Facebook) and guess what! The email server is down and the message could not get through. Their level of disregard for their patients is alarming, to say the very least.

I was incredibly disappointed to learn that Dr. Abrams was no longer with Pediatrics of Gwinnett--after we were already in the exam room! We let the (very unkempt) receptionist know of the oversight in patient communication immediately. I felt disrespected last week when we were faced with the choice of sticking with our scheduled appointment or trying to find another office to see us at this time of year. A few days later, they called to confirm an appointment for the child they just saw! They lack professionalism on all fronts that a patient can see -- from appearance to communication to records maintenance. We were among those who came from a fairly lengthy distance to see Dr. Abrams because of his amazing report with patients and his desire to stick with the patient-friendly informed consent policy regarding care protocols. As a parent, my childrens health is of utmost importance to me, and we expect basic respectful treatment at any doctors office. We did not get that with Gwinnett Pediatrics. As a doctoral candidate, I am flabbergasted that an office treats families with such a lack of respect and professionalism. I am also appalled at how one of my predecessors in pediatric care has been treated, especially now that I know it had something to do with Dr. Abramss staunch support of his patients and their rights to choose.

Beyond disgusting that Gwinnett Pediatric Partners does not believe in true informed consent. THIS MEANS ALL information on both sides of the debate and ALL possible side effects on a drug they are pushing/selling. I was given a form to sign when I refused vaccinations along with a bunch of "studies", as if I was totally uneducated on the matter. Of course, there was no documentation on the possible side effects, including death mentioned in any of the documentation I was given. As someone who has been severely harmed by a Big Pharma drug, I know better. Dr. Abrams was an amazing, caring and truly educated doctor who got to know and cared about his patients. He worked with parents and saw the value of alternative treatments instead of rushing to Big Pharmas poisons. It is beyond disgusting that Gwinnett Pediatric Partners would acquire a business without doing their due diligence or by thinking they could strong arm parents into vaccinations after the fact. When they realized they couldnt, they let him go. Makes you wonder what kind of incentives this practice is getting from the insurance companies for having a percentage of their patients vaccinated.

First And Formost I want to say this location is very beautiful from the inside both lilburn and spalding location. Today I was 1 minute late after 12:15 which my appointment was scheduled for 12. I was rescheduled for 2 pm. The receptionist who answers the phone is not a very pleasant young lady. Also everytime I call i can not seem to get thru. There lines are constantly busy. Scheduleing a appointment for my kids has not been a pleasant experience. Also having prescriptions sent the correct pharmacy has been a big issue. Not the first time i experience that. Im very unhappy with there new change of nurses, receptionist, and doctors. Previous it was Dr.Polokoff And Dr.Stetler. I can say I had the BEST EXPERIENCE while they were there. There nurses were VERY PROFFESIONAL AND NICE. I really hope there office manager can make the best choices in the future. Hiring employees that are NOT VERY PLEASANT, makes a parent VERY UNHAPPY. Definatly having a change of Pediatriac.

My rating would be lower if possible. I followed Dr Abrams to this office. What a huge mistake!! The wait times are ridiculous. I endure phone calls of being put on hold for literally 30 mins to book or reschedule appointments. I even hung up one time and called back to have the receptionist without apology tell me. She had other patients. Never once even checked back to apologize for the wait or keep me informed. This happened on several occasions. Just a lack of professionalism from office staff. Today the final straw is a request for shot records for flying while I am out of state. I could very well be stranded with a one year old and there was not an ounce of compassion show by my childs doctors office, the people I have entrusted her health with and done business with for almost a year. I was told to google HIPAA laws even after giving consent to send my childs records electronically so I could fly home without penalty. The worst. Im done. Please go elsewhere.
