If I could give 0 stars I would. They take advantage of free healthcare, if you have bluecare do not go here. I took my son here for a tooth ache, they did an initial X-ray and exam to see what needed to be done. They sent in paper work to the insurance company (bluecare) to be approved. The initial paper work said nothing about pulling a tooth, only 2 caps. When we arrived they gave him a cocktail to sedate him, which they said was for his own good. They put him in a quiet room until he passed out & when the front end person came to get him she couldnt lift him so I offered to carry him back for her (she was very hesitant, fist red flag). When I took him back, he was placed on a restraint board (I signed that I acknowledged he would be put on one, but the restraint would only be used if he woke up & started fighting) however, when he woke up during the procedure he was already in the restraint. They wouldnt let me stay in the room, & when they came to get me the nightmare wasnt over. They pulled his tooth, put a spacer in & put caps on 3 teeth (which apparently had already been approved by the insurance after the initial paperwork). Lesson learned! Just wanted to share so no one else has to see their child like this. To this day he complains about the pain of the spacer and caps. There are days he cant even eat. Will definitely be going somewhere else soon to undo what these greedy people did to my baby boy (age 7).

I absolutely do not recommend the dentist side of this facility. There have been quite a few parents who have discovered their children were told they would need to be sedated for cavities. I was one of those parents. I was told my girls had 6 cavities each and need to be sedated. I had a weird feeling in my gut and by a crazy circumstance someone had posted about their experience with Cumberland on a Facebook page. I scheduled a second opinion with Tiny Town and took my daughter to be seen there, they did an exam, X-rays and even took a tiny camera inside of her mouth to view her teeth to see if they could find the "six cavities". Once the dentist confirmed my suspicions, that my child did infact have ZERO cavities, my heart sank. I took to a Facebook group and a bunch of other parents went for second opinions from Cumberland and have found that their children did not have 6 or 8 cavities, some had 0 and others had maybe one or two. Please get second opinions on your kids before you allow someone to "give your kids sleepy juice" or anything that doesnt sit right for you.

I would like to start by saying the staff and dental hygienists were amazing. My kids enjoyed the visit. What I did not like was the proposed treatment plan I received. Items on the plan were not discussed with me and it is not easy to decipher the language in which the plan is written (i.e. each tooth is listed as a number or letter based on permanent or baby tooth status, etc.). After figuring out what was included in the treatment plan, I decided that we needed a second opinion. Six crowns on my 9 year old who had previously only had one or two cavities sounded wrong. We went to another local pediatric dentist who looked at the same x rays, and without knowing of the 1st opinion, recommended to filled the cavities with no crowns needed. My bill was 50% less. I would use this dentist with extreme caution and get a second opinion if something doesnt sound right.

I was NOT impressed. I took my 2 1/2 year old there when they first opened. The staff seemed nice at first. Until they told me that my child was so uncooperative that in order to even SEE if she had any cavities, they would have to sedate her. I had a choice between twilight sedation for my not quite 3 year old or what the dentist called "the office cocktail" - comprised of demorral, ativan and some other drug I thought was highly inappropriate to give a toddler. Especially for just an EXAM!!! Who expects a small child to be "open sesame" when theyre seeing a new dentist for the first time? Plus, said dentist spent a grand total of MAYBE 2 minutes even trying to look at my childs teeth. As a result, its like baptizing a cat every time we go to the new dentist. So yea, NO thank you, Cumberland. Maybe its gotten better since we went, I hope so...

My son had an appt w/ this ofc on today for dental cleaning & to have braces removed. Due to me being in a different state, I communicated with the ofc staff via phone. Natalie & Pamela were awesome! Very professional staff that was eager to assist with making sure that my son received the best services possible. My son informed me that the ofc environment was extremely welcoming, clean, and vibrant! I highly recommend anyone thats seeking an orthodontic or dental ofc of such, to definitely give them a call for an appt. So if youve been searching for a great orthodontic/dental ofc, search no further! Thanks to this wonderful staff for professionally taking good care of my sons orthodontic & dental needs.

The staff was very nice to my child, nice child friendly office.. Now the bad... The staff was very rude to me, they dont return phone calls, oral surgeries are scheduled months (5 months to be exact) out!! My son is suffering from a toothache, so I called them and asked for a sooner appointment, Ive never heard back about that. I paid my deductible in full and Im starting to fear that was a bad idea... Im sure Schmitt Dental would haven taken care of him by now.

I absolutely LOVE this office and so do my kids! Both Dr. Krista and Dr. Andrew are very patient and make sure everything is explained and all my questions are answered before I leave. And the orthodontists even see adults which meant I could do my braces right alongside my children! I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a new childrens dentist or orthodontist!

Please do NOT allow andrew Vaughn to perform any dental procedures on your children. All he wants to do is sedate all kids without getting to know them and their personalities. He didnt even introduce himself to me when he came in. Why this dude is a pediatric dentist is beyond me and any practice that cant see through his arrogance should not be in business.

Seriously love this place, my kids no longer fear the dentist. Staff is amazing, awesome and have a great sense of humor. I dont dread being there like I do at some places while waiting. The waiting room is amazing, they always have a fun contest and everything is updated and fresh looking. Super clean facility. If I could go beyond 5 stars I would.

My 2 yr old and 6 yr old love coming here. They have iPads and video games in the waiting rooms and TVs in the ceiling so my kids can watch them while having work done! I am also a patient and currently in braces. I love the staff and doctors. Everyone always explains what is going on at each visit and takes time to answer my questions.
