First, and foremost the doctor is absolutely the friendliest ones I have met. But, I just went for a visit after 3 years of not having a follow up. In those 3 years, I suppose is when the shift to "myeyedoctor" happened or could be a whole range of things that occurred in 3 years time. But, the experience was NOTHING like it was before and not in the best way. First, I had a gentleman get me to start the appointment. He needed to update my chart, with name change, address etc. He then told me about the charges for the machines he would be using and also the visit, great. He very quickly went through the 3 machines to test my eyes for different things. Didnt really tell me what it was gauging or testing, just instructions of what to do. Okay, great. Then I say for the doctor to grab me. Again, nicest man. But, he literally made me look at MAYBE 3-4 different lines (per eye) and then another line or two with both eyes. Then we talked about life, and stuff. I was figuring he was getting set up for the next round of tests. He simply said, "your right eye has gotten better, your left eye worse" and said "I would recommend getting the anti glare for driving and your blue eyes." And he walked me out to sit down and go over glasses. My appointment all together was MAYBE 20 minutes. With very little information given or really tested very long, Then picking out my glasses, the lady was very sweet in helping me. But, again felt VERY rushed. She was booking it around the room just grabbing glasses she thought I would like, and before I could even look at the whole case she was already waiting for me at the next one. After leaving, I felt extremely rushed throughout the entire process. As I was leaving I thought to myself how I would never go back. When I see a doctor expect more explanation or even more information of what exactly is going on with me. Again, nice staff. But not a great experience overall.

Dr Kardos is so friendly, very accommodating and I could not ask for a better optometrist. My children go here, as well as my husband and myself and we have all been happy. The staff that helps you choose your glasses are so helpful. My daughter was just told she needed glasses. We were all surprised, but they made the adjustment so easy for her and also gave me a courtesy discount since i ordered more than one pair. I also just switched to contacts and they allowed me to try some different lenses and made sure everything was comfortable and correct. They also made sure I left with the best contacts for the best price ! I have actually seen both the doctors- I see Dr Kardos, my daughter saw the woman doctor (she was super sweet too). I was surprised to see that they had negative reviews, so I had to take a moment to write how happy I am with them- and I can be hard to please.

I called for an appointment in January and was not able to get through to anyone (during business hours) after 4-5 attempts on different days. Finally I reached someone mid-February, and they scheduled me on their first-available appointment, which was mid-March. The appointment date happened to be when we got a snow storm; I called to reschedule and was told they had tried to call me to cancel. I never received that call (no missed calls--and I did confirm they had the correct number) but they rescheduled me for ANOTHER three weeks later. I arrive at the office and they have no record of the appointment. So now Ive waited nearly two months since my first conversation with them and still no appointment. Save your time and go elsewhere--this office is incompetent. Now I need to find a new doc.

We received the worst service ever today. When I scheduled my daughters appointment we were told that they participated with our insurance, which also included one pair of glasses or contacts per year. When we arrived, we were told they would only cover an exam, and if she wanted contacts checked that would be a separate appointment. even though she wears contacts daily, not glasses . A second appointment would have been out of pocket. I dont know if it was because we have CHIP, or what reason they had, but they were BEYOND RUDE. The doctor was late too. When I asked about them participating with our insurance, the woman said "we used too", but offered no explanation about what changed. We will never go back.

Not the happiest. Glasses came in and I got a call that they were damaged and would need to be returned. Waited a couple weeks but had heard nothing so I called them and oh yeah, the glasses are here! Seems like they took a step backwards when they joined with My Eye Doctor

Very satisfied with this Dr. I always had a positive experience. I was recently told they no longer accept VSP so now I have to find a new Dr. I still highly recommend this practice.
