Hey I have never even been here but I feel that someone should right the wrong cause by the one person giving a one star. I would encourage anyone and everyone to click on Mr. Nookie Bonds and see this persons other reviews. There is only one other one which is in Greenville, NC. The review is oddly enough the exact same with exception that he claims that the theater only shows white movies and the other theater in the town is where black people are sent. Oddly enough the theater of that remark is the more nice of the two. Please dont get me wrong I work in mental health and substance use world I see first hand the racism and judgement that happens far to often in the world. What does bother me is when you can clearly see a pattern emerge where someone is doing something like posting uneducated (concerning the subject matter) and what seems to be randomly falsified reviews as such. The people that suffer because of this are people who can not make a fair judgement call about a business because because someone thinks it is funny to write a racism complaint just to be funny when there is really issues with this going on in the world. I apologize about the rant but I hope to be able to use my status as a Google local guide to contact Mr. Bonds and meet with him to give him a chance to show me this first hand and allow me to carry him with me as I visit my clients who live what is lovingly called "The Jungle" by people living there where police will sit outside the main driveway and pull over Caucasian who drive out assuming they are buying illegal items . I have often been told by people living there that it is worse for them as they deal with this daily. I guess what I feel poor Nookie needs to learn is to quit playing it is not funny because it undermines the work that people of all races do to fight real issues not these items that you have obviously thought would give you some ounce of credit. How often do you use the same business just because your family has been using them for always? Let me tell, Edwards Eye Care in Ahoskie is one of those other business that you will go to because of great..service, personalities, knowledge and professionalism. These "Brothers" and family made me a believer from day one. Who remembers your name after only meeting you once a year. Hey, they even remember my wifes name. All of my insurance questions were answered and resolved with no hassle. Hey, go on back and get you eyewear adjusted when you need it done. Why dont cha"! Do I recommend them for all you eyeball needs? You bet you sweet buppy I do! These men are genuinely concerned about the health of your eyes and they showed it to me with the care and follow-up required for a person who is a diabetic needing corrective lenses that had to be durable, comfortable, appealing and inexpensive. ( Insurance only pays up to a certain amount) You need your peepers checked and taken care of? These are the guys to do it!

Exceptional knowledge and service. For children, this is a great, family-oriented place where the doctors and staff have a great deal of care and patience. They are very accommodating in terms of appointments, and they have an incredibly quick turn-around time for receiving your glasses and/or contacts. Finally, they are very thorough in terms of your examination and thoughtful in their explanations of the findings.

From the time I walked in the door until I was finished being fitted with glasses my experience was excellent. Procedures were explained before being done and results were given immediately and all my questions were answered completely. Everyone from the front desk to the techs to the doctor made my visit comfortable.

The workers are extremely racist towards black people, and they lost the frames that I picked out. I was so excited to pick them up but they didnt even have it on my account because they assumed that I couldnt afford them. I regret ever giving them my time of day.
