Until recently we have received excellent service. I am not sure if the office experienced turnover in their AR/Billing department, but it is evident that whoever is working in that office does not have a clue! We were informed in 2015 that we had a remaining balance on our ortho account because the insurance did not pay the entire benefit for my sons ortho costs. I was told at that time that the "office" would call and work it out with the insurance company...after all, I am not a billing/coding specialist. Months passed and we did not receive a bill or any indication that the remaining balance was not paid in full. Flash forward to July 1st, 2016...my husband is informed at his monthly ortho checkup that we still owe a balance for my sons plan. He was told that the person in the office tried to work it out with our insurance company and that because the insurance company representative was so rude they stopped trying to resolve the issue. So, my husband said that he would have me call the insurance company...now, remember, up to this point we received NO prior notification that the balance was due and the office had several opportunities to inform us of this via billing statement or verbally during my familys monthly ortho visits. I called the insurance provider on Friday, July 1, 2016 and found out that the benefit was paid in full and that the office applied the payment differently to my sons account...go figure! The insurance representative I spoke with called the office and spoke with the person who is responsible for billing (she had a very bad attitude and was rude herself). While on the phone with the insurance company and the person who works in the billing department, I specifically asked if I needed to go ahead and pay the balance while they work it out with the insurance company so that I would not be sent to collections and I was told "no". The woman working in the billing office told me that I would not be sent to collections and that once she received the itemized billing statements from the insurance company that she would get back with me. HA! What a LIAR...I opened the mail this morning to find a collection notice from a debt collection service called AmerAssist asking me to acknowledge what I owe to American Fork Modern Dentistry and Ortho and to remit payment. This collection notice was dated for 6/24/2016...essentially, asking if I should pay the balance so that we could avoid collections was irrelevant, as the information was processed prior to our phone conversation on July 1st. Seriously, she did not have the guts to tell me or the intelligence to review the account at that point so that she could inform me that the account was forwarded to a debt collector on 6/24? Not to mention, my husband was in the office that day...she could not discuss this with him at that point...what is wrong with this person? Talk about a lack of professionalism and customer service. I will not even get into the fact that we have NEVER received a bill from American Fork Modern Dentistry & Ortho. We have spent thousands of dollars on their services (dental and ortho) and if this is how we are going to be treated, we will take our business elsewhere. I do need to be clear that Dr. Meru and his staff are excellent and we have never experienced issues with him or the service provided. However, if this person (woman) in the billing department is unable to competently do her job and exude a little professionalism then she should be terminated or willingly find employment elsewhere! Just to reiterate...this ONE star does not reflect the experience with the services provided by Dr. Meru or his staff members...it is a reflection of the person in the office who is responsible for the billing.

I have no problem giving them 2 stars. I stayed with them through 3 staff changes because of their location. I didnt realize that Stonehaven Dental was just down the street. Once my wife took the kids to Stonehaven that was the end of American Fork Modern dentistry. The thing that really gets me is they told me that my insurance covered a consult that I didnt really need. So I did go along. I moved away from the area and got a phone call asking when I was going to pay the $150 for the consult. "You said the insurance was going to cover the visit". They then said, "yeah, they never said that they would cover it". So I would be very cautious about what they say is going to happen. I still have to pay the $150 even though it was their mistake. Dishonest.

I have had a difficult time with dentists in the past, I never seemed to do well with the shots and a typical filling was very painful. Over the years I had developed quite a large fear of dentists. I hadnt been for a couple years and needed to go, so finally I agreed with my husband and found American Fork Modern Dentistry. Dr. Willardsen and his team are wonderful. I have had two visits now to do all my work, I had several crowns, a filling and a root canal. I can say that they were completely pain free, even the shots themselves were virtually pain free. Amazing! I highly recommend them!!

New owner is AWFUL. Im changing dentists. This used to be a great dentist for kids, not anymore. He checked their teeth but when he found fillings he was referring me to a different kids dentist, but still charged for the checkup even though Id have to pay for another. Waste of time. He agreed to do the fillings and my wife said he gave a numbing shot and then said he couldnt do the work, even though my wife said my kid was doing really good and the shot part was done. Pissed us off.

American Fork Modern Dentistry is an AMAZING office. It was a great experience and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The office has all the newest dental equipment, cameras and can make crowns in only one visit! Dr. Jim Willardson was very caring and took the time to talk with me and understand my dental history and know me personally. I am a huge fan and highly recommend Dr. Willardson!

AF Modern Dentistry has the most friendly and welcoming staff! Despite it being my first visit to their office, they all greeted me by name and were able to create a welcoming office environment. I was extremely pleased at how well i was treated and the quality of care that I received. I would recommend this dentistry to anyone who has dentist needs!

Who likes to spend time at the Dentist? I sure dont. Which is exactly why I suggest these guys: They were FAST! But they dont skimp on quality. Dr. Willardson was professional in understanding my schedule and highly proficient in his craft. Very much appreciated!

I love this dentist office, they have been great especially with all the work i need done on my mouth, they have been very accommodating. Dr.westmorland is my dentist and she is great and knows what she is doing.
