Took my wife here with a bulging disc in her back. Chiropractor recommended we get a dosepak steroid regimen to reduce swelling and inflammation. I have also experienced a bulging disc and I myself was prescribed a dosepak regimen. It worked very well for me so we went to AMD to have it prescribed for my wife. For reasons unknown the woman who evaluated my wife balked when we specifically requested the dosepak regimen and she refused to prescribe it. My wife was in excruciating pain to the point of being on crutches yet the only thing done for her was a pain shot that only lasts for 24 hours. I was irritated that the dosepak regimen wasnt prescribed for her. The next morning AMD called to follow up my wifes condition. My wife told her that she was still in excruciating pain and requested ONCE AGAIN to have the dosepak regimen prescribed to her. The physician finally relented and told us that she would indeed prescribe to her. I went to the pharmacy to pick it up and discovered that she had actually prescribed a different medication. When we called and asked for an explanation we were told that in her opinion this other medication was similar to dosepak and she thought it might work just as well as the dosepak. My question to her was simple and legitimate - why not just prescribe exactly what we requested on two separate occasions? I googled both medications and determined that they are not equivalent to each other. The dosepak is very specifically described to be most effective for lower back pain and disc problems. The other medication she prescribed to us is much weaker and prescribed for symptoms other than back pain and disc problems. So why the willful and spiteful disregard in accommodating our simple request? She bent over backwards and went way out of her way not to give us what we asked for. When pressed for an explanation we were stonewalled. We didnt go in there and ask for vicoden or oxycodone. We simply asked for a specific medication proven to be most effective for the symptoms my wife was suffering from. When pressed for a legitimate explanation I was told that if we wanted dosepak prescribed then we have to go to our primary care physician to get it! WHY? Why all the dodgy games to refuse such a simple request? I just dont get it!

My experience was horrible!!! I was a primary care patient and was previously seen by doctor Brummeler. I asked to receive birth control, and he looked at me with a distinctive judgmental look. I should never have to feel embarrassed about my free right to birth control, especially when my insurance allows it. I assume he is religious and his beliefs counter act the administration of it. I respect that but I do not believe that should cloud his thoughts of a patients autonomy to receive it. I had to make another appointment and waste more money just to see doctor Samuel all because of his personal beliefs. I had no idea that physicians were aloud to make that call if I expressed my completely justified reason for the need of it... So I seen doctor Samuel, and he told me to call the office after my visit with him for any other questions, which, I had and their staff flat out refused my right to speak to him. He consented that I had that right and they told me that I would have to make yet ANOTHER appointment to speak with him about my Pap smear. Ive seen plenty of disrespectful receptionists but I was baffled. Their administrative is some of the most rude, un-professional, inconsiderate, idiotic staff of a physicians office Ive ever seen in my life.

Tonight I brought my daughter in due to a quip going to far into her ear, causing it to bleed. The MA Brandon was fantastic. He engaged my daughter and was able to calm her down. She was comfortable with him looking in her ears. But once the doctor came in, he was the older dude with grey hair, tall and had a nasty look permanently plastered on his face. He did not only tell my daughter to shut up, but proceeded to throw the otoscope and walk out of the room stating she was impossible to work on. Mind you, she is 4 and has had a history of ear trauma since she was 2 months old. After holding her down, which was necessary, she started screaming again- the doctor stated "your chin is going to hurt more than anything from forcing your face down!" He rolled his eyes numerous times and when my daughter told him it didnt hurt at all, he replied with- oh good cause my ears dont wither, and walked away. I HAVE NEVER BEEN TREATED SO POORLY! The way this man handled this situation makes me worry about other child patients, or mentally unstable/handicap patients. I will be reporting to a higher up manager/owner and do not recommend anyone taking their children to this place. But lets not forget- Brandon was amazing. -Sincerely, one pissed off parent.

Easily the WORST Urgent Care I have ever been to. I waited over two hours to be seen, because there was only one nurse working during flu season. I went in for a sore throat and swollen lymph nodes and the nurse didnt even look in my throat or feel around to feel any swelling. She swabbed my throat and left me for 45 minutes to await streptococcus test results. I had to get to work, so I come out of the room after hearing receptionists and other employees gossip and talk about their summer plans to find out that the nurse is sitting on her phone, and the doctor tells me that the sticky note on her computer monitor says that I dont have strep. After being properly examined and prescribed medication, THE DOCTOR NEVER CALLED IN MY PRESCRIPTION. Overall, the staff is rude, uncooperative, and very, very unprofessional. I would avoid this particular Urgent Care at all costs.

Arrived at 5:55 with 2 people ahead of me. At 6:14 3 people(patients) left from back and no one was called back. At 6:20 another patient walked in and 6:30 another. At 6:47 they called back the 2 in front of me and myself, leaving 2 people in the waiting room. At 6:50 a nurse came in took vitals and said the dr will be in soon. At 7:33 a Physicians assistant came in and checked me out. I left at 7:45 with a diagnosis of bronchitis. When leaving the other 2 rooms doors were open and there was one guy leaving in front of me the guy leaving and the people in the 2 rooms were not the people that were called back with me or the people in the lobby when I went back... I set in the back for almost an hour and who knows how many people were seen before I was that got there after I did... horrible I advise going anywhere else...

My husband was feeling terrible with a really bad sore throat on a Saturday, and we decided to go to the clinic. Our previous clinic experience was a disaster so we decided to try a different more closely located clinic. We are very happy we did. Dr. Samuel Dyka was very kind, personable, looked at both myself and my husband in the eye to talk to us about his step throat. He treated me with respect and answered my questions even though Im the wife. He did not kick me out of the room (the last doctor did for unknown reasons... My husband is not comfortable being around people he doesnt know, and likes a bit of a support system, plus I remember some things he doesnt) My only complaint is that doctor Dyka does not have a private practice. We are looking for a new primary care physician, and he would be perfect.
