I have been taking my dogs to Peoria Animal Hospital for over 30 years, so I feel that I have a pretty good sense of who they are. Dr. Steven Wanick was my vet for most of those years and I worried that with his retirement I would not get the same level of personalized service by knowledgeable, caring vets who truly love animals. I shouldnt have worried! Dr. Tom Satkus and Dr. Sheryl Scrimager are both true animal lovers; you can tell this by the way that they interact with the animals. My Shiba Inu puppy, Nikki, had some very persistent parasites that required several rounds of treatments and they both assisted in her treatment, always calling me the day after each appointment to report the results of tests and to inquire as to how Nikki was feeling and reacting to the medicine. They have gentle hands and always talk reassuringly to the animal. I have gone to other vets, mostly for teeth cleaning appointments due to special advertised pricing of the teeth cleaning service but I have not found anyone that I trust as much as the vets at Peoria Animal Hospital. Dr. Wanick will likely be able to enjoy his retirement secure in the knowledge that the practice that he created is in good hands!

I took my cat to Peoria Animal Hospital to be neutered on Sept. 1, 2017. This was my first experience with Peoria Animal Hospital. The office staff was very friendly, and greeted me with smiles as I walked in the door. The office was clean, and smelled fresh. My questions regarding the paperwork I had to complete were answered patiently and clearly. The after care instructions were explained clearly as well. My cat was groggy, which was to be expected, and nice and cleaned up from the surgery when I picked him up. The cost of the neutering procedure was very reasonable, and fell within a few dollars of other vets fees in the same general area. One of the girls in the office called me the next day to check on my cat and see how he was doing and asked if I had any questions or concerns. I highly recommend Peoria Animal Hospital and I plan to continue to take my pets (2 cats, 1 dog) there for any animal care I need. I would definitely recommend

If I could give 0 stars that would be what they earned. They promised us that they would help us let our faithful friend go on from this world comfortably when the time came. We were reassured he would just go to sleep peacefully and then pass. The Doctor told us if he showed signs that he was in any pain they would not just muscle through this, but use an alternative method to ensure it was painless. What he actually did was to do exactly the opposite. As our friend started to cry, the doctor just shoved the anesthetic in faster making him cry out like I had never hear him cry out in his life, it was horrible and they fought with him and killed him in the most cruel way I had ever witnessed. I am so sorry, old friend that I couldnt react and say anything to help you when you needed it. Stay away from these people if you love your pet.

I have been taking my pets to Peoria Animal Clinic for years. Dr. Statkus is great he really cares not only about your pet but you too. I have a special little guy who needs special food, antibiotics, and a syrup. He was able to diagnose him quickly and start him on the diet that keeps him alive. Unfortunately I have had a few pets that were too sick to save. He didnt shove more treatment when we all knew it was hopeless. He was empathetic and really cared about our family. During the last visit we started talking about a people med, he couldnt remember the name but e-mailed the name of the drug that day. His front office people are friendly and helpful and have the food and medicine for my "special" dog ready when I there. I have to drive a little farther but would not go anywhere else.

We have been clients at Peoria Animal Hospital for perhaps two years now after having had a decades long relationship with another clinic. Our animals feel comfortable there (as much as they can, of course!) and the staff are helpful if you need a short notice appointment. I started with Dr. W and loved him; sometimes we have seen other doctors in the clinic and while I approached this change with some trepidation, the care my animals received was excellent. I would recommend Peoria Animal Hospital to anyone wishing to have good veterinary care at what I consider to be affordable rates. I really appreciate that they will take the time to explain your family members situation and the various possibilities and avenues of treatment that you might wish to pursue.

I have been taking my fur-babies there for years. The care that they receive is as if they are family. For someone to want to care for my pets as much as myself is so important to us. We appreciate all that the staff does to making my pets feel safe and comfortable. They always greet us and our dogs. I have seen all the vets there and each are our favorites in a different way. I love the follow up calls. That is AWESOME customer service! Thank you for helping us understand what you are looking for and how to keep our babies healthy! We all thank you Geneva, Nicole, Chi-Chi, Squirt, Yeti the beardy and Crush! High Fives all around!

The retired Dr. Wannick used to come to me for his haircut. Over the years I got to know stories about his patients and the culture if those who worked in the business. Recently due to her congestive heart failure, it became time to send my beloved 14 year old Chihuahua, Trixie, over the rainbow bridge. The compassion and respect shown to us was everything one could hope for during thosr final moments. Also, P.A.H. was less than half the cost of several places my wife had checked into. I thank this clinic for being there for us in sickness & in health. I highly recommend this office become your familys vet. You wont be disappointed.

We have been going to Peoria Animal Hospital for years and have consistently been impressed with the kindness and attention our dogs receive. We recently adopted two Goldens and had to take them to the vet appointed by the rescue organization which wasnt Peoria Animal Hospital and the difference was so stark. At Peoria Animal Hospital they keep the dogs with their owners during the examination. This is not true of all vets we learned. Our dogs are treated with respect at Peoria Animal Hospital and we are provided excellent service! We dont ever want to go anywhere else.

We lost our precious Golden Retriever 1.5 yrs. ago. We recently adopted a female Black Lab mix and named her Willow. She was in to the office recently for her 1st. visit. Everyone in the front office was so nice and welcoming. She even had her name up on the board as a new arrival. Dr. Tom is the most caring Vet. we have ever known. We have had 9 dogs and about 5 different Vets. over the period of 51 years. We highly recommend him and his office of very qualified, caring and loving people he works with. Roy, Sharon and Willow
