I have to say that the Animal Hospital of Laveen is a LIFE SAVER, litterally! My Grandpup, Bella swallowed pennies sometime in the days leading up to New Years Eve. She threw-up two the day before, at which time my daughter called me frantically. I drove clear out to the other side of town (51st Ave and Thunderbird) to pick my daughter up along with Bella. As she called from her cell phone to numerous Vets while I was driving, and unfortunately kept getting turned away by three different Vets in her area due to the Holiday; it came across to me to get to my area in Laveen, surely someone will see us... This is where the story really starts... The staff was closing the office at Noon on New Years Eve, and I frantically ran up and said I needed help. My daughter was carrying the lifeless Bella in her arms following behind me. I explained what the situation was and they took us in, locking the doors behind us. It turns out that after a few X-rays, Bella still had what looked line one penny lodged in her intestines, but it ended up being THREE pennies lodged. We were told that she needed an Animal Hospital and suggested Emergency Animal Hospital and they called in advance to inform the staff to expect us as we were transporting Bella there. Bella needed two blood transfusions and was a very very sick little girl. If it were not for Animal Hospital of Laveen we would have lost this sweet baby! Bella has fully recovered and is doing very well!!! We are so grateful to the Animal Hospital of Laveen!!! Thank you for saving our precious family member!

I was familiar with Animal Hospital of Laveen through my boyfriend, who takes his dogs there for care, and I had previously seen how compassionate and attentive they are with the animals in their care and with the pet parents as well. However, I had been taking my dogs and cats to another vet for several years and thought it prudent to continue their care with that vet--until she made me realize one day just how low a priority she placed on my babies. After dealing with an ongoing issue of not receiving return phone calls, being left waiting for HOURS (with an appointment) while she chatted with her friends in the lobby, and being instructed to INCREASE the dosage of insulin in my diabetic cat with critically low blood sugar levels, I decided it was time to make a change. My first choice was Animal Hospital of Laveen. As I expected, Dr Watson and his staff provided a stark contrast to the care I had been used to receiving for my babies. Dr Watson is friendly and informative, and he takes the time to listen to you. He doesnt rush through the visit, and he is very thorough in explaining everything. The staff called me a couple days later to see how my cat was doing. I told them that I had some questions and requested a call to speak with someone about my cat. To my surprise, it was not a technician who called me back, but Dr Watson himself. Dr Watson makes me feel like he truly cares about my babies, and I am very happy that I made the change from the other vet.

I called for some cat food yesterday and needed to pay over the phone as my husband didnt have our card with him, but we needed food. Not a problem!!! The girl I talked to was very accomodating, friendly and took my card number over the phone. We have been taking all four of our fur-babies to the Animal Hospital of Laveen for approximately 5 years, and during those 5 years our babies have been treated with love and respect each and every time. The office atmosphere is always friendly, and the Vet is not only professional, but friendly, they always answer any and all questions you have. Everytime we have taken one of our babies in, whether it be for a shot, check up, or surgery, we always have received a phone call within a couple of days after taking the visiting one home, and a couple days after that. Never before have I had a Vet do that. To me that shows the Vet cares about all the animals he treats. Thank you to everyone at the Animal Hospital of Laveen!!

NEVER EVER GO HERE! The vet is an absolute joke. My poor baby was dying and he was cracking onscene jokes while my fiancé and I are crying and trying to comfort out dog. He had zero respect and they only cared about money. The vet and the nurse were taking forever to get us information and ran our card three different times. They refused to do anything to help my poor dog who was in a lot of pain without running my card three times!! My dog also already had passed away on the table and they still completed the euthanasia when it wasnt necessary. I told them not to and they explicitly ignored me. Its traumatic losing a family friend.. go somewhere that cares about animals and wont think youre stupid for asking for a ceramic paw print. Most vets provide this and Animal Hospital of Laveen basically called is stupid for it. If youre looking for an amazing animal hospital I suggest Dobson Animal Hospital in Mesa. Theyre great.

Over priced, (when they even know their prices). I called today to get my dog in for a nail trim and glands expressed. When I called to make the appointment, (Tuesday Am) the girl who answered the phone didnt know their prices, but they dont "officially" open until 1pm, so I was told I can make the appointment for 1 and get a call at 12:30 with the prices. I called back at 1pm, was treated rudely, and told that I could come in at 1;20pm. I asked 3 times in a 2 minute conversation how much it was, and finally after the 3rd time she told me the $35 price to cut his nails and express his glands. What a rip off! $35! I can take them to the groomer have those services done and washed too! I knew they were expensive, (a $49 office vist just to show up) but $35 for nails and glands! I will never bring my dog back there.

I have been going to the Animal Hospital of Laveen for 4 years with my cat. He has had an intermittent problem, which he received an operation last week to finally solve. Dr. Watson and his staff are awesome. They are very patient and understanding with my constant questions and concerns. Every time I come in, they make me feel like Smokey is a VIP. Lydia even taped an extension on Smokeys cone so that he couldnt reach his stitches, helping him to heal faster! Because of Dr. Watsons knowledge and experience, I feel very confident that Smokey is always in good hands. I also feel very comfortable asking him as many questions as I want. Thanks to the great job the staff has done with Smokey; I honestly would not go anywhere else!

We just moved into the neighborhood and rescued a new puppy (a pit bull). Everybody was friendly and loved him. He had discharge from his nose and the vets did not jump to "lets medicate him" rather said to give it time. They even called the very next day to check on him. We then had an emergency with one of our other dogs at 7:30pm on a Wednesday. We called, they were open, they saw him. They did not even charge ridiculous fees to see him so late and last minute. The doctors are amazing, they do not jump at the opportunity to medicate and run all sorts of ridiculous tests which I love, and they are very knowledgeable. Again, we received a follow up phone call. They are one of the best vets we have been to!
