I called to see if I could schedule a same day appointment at 11am when my dog showed severe signs of limping and pain. My normal doctor is out of town so I made several calls in hopes of getting her seen the same day elsewhere. This was not an emergency and if I could not be seen the same day then I was fine making an appointment for the following day. Alice was very nice and said she could work me in at 215 but I would have to wait longer than if I had made an appointment. I was prepared to wait because I was thankful to get her in. We arrived at 2 pm, filled out paperwork and sat until 4:05 when I decided I could no longer sit on the wooden benches and hold my extremely full bladder. While waiting I was never informed of how long I was going to need to wait but I was aware that they were busy. My problem with this experience is this: DO NOT schedule a work in appointment if you cannot work them in. I did not think it was appropriate to keep me waiting for 2 hours and I had a bad feeling they were going to charge me an arm and a leg if I was eventually seen and my appointment pushed past 5pm. I have no idea how the doctors are and Im sure they are great. Just beware of a same day appointment! They only care about the previously scheduled pets. EDIT: Bumping the clinic from a 1 to a 3 after receiving a call from Alice apologizing for the wait. They do care about everyone.

This is the first review I have ever been compelled to write. Dr. McCready and the other staff are absolutely wonderful and I would highly recommend anyone with an exotic pet to take them there. My little guinea pig had become very lethargic, wasnt eating much, and lost a lot of weight; we were so concerned that it was a URI (upper respiratory infection) that we called Camelwest and tried to get an appointment for that night to have him looked at. The woman we talked to said that they were all booked except for the next day. I guess she could tell how nervous I was for my Stiggys health because she said to come in as soon as we could that night and they would work us in. They went above and behond what they needed to to make sure that he got the best care possible. Along with the wonderful help and the extensive knowledge of Dr. McCready, we were able to find out that Stiggy had Pneumonia and were able to treat it right away. He is doing so much better and he probably wouldnt have made it if we went to any other vet. Thank you so much Camelwest and everyone that works there, I am truly grateful that my baby is happy and healthy again.

We brought our kitten here after finding out he had FeLV from a different vet. We were scared and wanted a second opinion. Before he was even tested Dr McCready took us into a room and calmed us by answering questions and providing a plan of attack. Our other vet of 15 years didnt even have their Dr break the news to us let alone talk to us. We have 4 cats and 2 guinea pigs and we moved our family here! All our cats were tested and vaccinated right away. Something our other vet never mentioned. Today we took our cat Sally for a tooth cleaning and possible extraction and we are well above satisfied! The quote was right on! The staff was friendly and caring! The call from the Dr explaining everything! And my Sally came right home and ate, groomed, and a little light playing. Not drugged out of her mind, drooling and sleeping. I was worried at a time but it looks like shes going to be fine and so are the rest of our kidos now that we made a permanent move here. Thanks for a job well done and very very much appreciated!

Not a good place for reptiles :( I took my 2 hatchlings sulcatas, one of them was looking very sick. A very young vet came in took a look at them and said that my sick sulcata had metabolic bone disease, he tried to feed him with a tube but said that he was too little and that all we could do was try to get him to eat, my tortoise died that same day, 2 months later my other one started showing same symptoms we took her to a dif vet (dr Mangone from palm glen hospital) she got tested and the results came positive with mycoplasma which is treatable she was prescribe medicine and we have to feed her with a tube ( its not as hard as the first vet made it look) my second tortoise might no make it but at least we know what we are dealing with. My biggest issue is that if that my first tortoise could have been saved and my second wouldnt gotten so sick!

I absolutely LOVE everyone at Camelwest Animal Hospital. I take all 5 of my fur babies there (4 cats and a dog) and they are always taken care of very well. Both Dr McCready and Dr Flick are amazing at what they do and are always very helpful with any questions I might have. All the staff are very friendly and have great customer service. We usually see Bonnie on Saturdays when we bring one of the bunch in an she is always smiling and welcoming! Weve been coming here for a few years and they havent let us down once! Even if I were to move out of the area I would be willing to drive a distance to get to their office! I highly recommend Camelwest Animal Hospital if you want great service and awesome vets who really care about your fur family!

I bring my dog Molly here and I love this clinic. My dog has chronic issues. Valley Fever, Allergies so bad she rubs her face until all her whiskers and eyelashes are gone to name a few. I love this dog so much and to see her suffer is so heartbreaking. Thanks to the appointment availability, the reasonable prices , and both Dr. Tracey Dutson and Dr. McCready, I dont have to. This clinic is extremely clean, well staffed and has the best veterinarians Ive ever met. I thank each and every staff member that Molly and I come in contact with. You ladies rock!!

Nice people but terrible. Waiting for a dermatologist referral and help for weeks with them emailing me saying they have "been too busy" . Im not kidding.. too busy!!?? I should copy and paste the email. I get your busy, but I dont understand why my dog is on the back burner? It shouldnt take more than a week to discuss a dermatologist and recommend me to one to help my old pup. Moving on to a different vet. They are taking action much faster for my dog. Wish I would have found a different vet sooner.

The office staff is always friendly. They always are able to fit me in when I need an appointment at the last minute. The doctors are very helpful and I never feel as if they are "upselling" me. They take their time with all of my pets and make sure that my babies are comfortable. Dr. Flick always makes it a point to explain in detail about my animals problems. I would definitely recommend this office for anyone looking for a great vet that provides exceptional care!
