I went in a little ago for an emergency. My dog had been bit and was in serious condition. He was dying in my hands. They took my emergency quickly but then told by the vet that we would have to put him down. So I said okay and as they were leaving to put him down I asked if I could watch and say goodbye and they told me no. Just no. After being very sad about not saying goodbye or even seeing him before he left I got "alone" time with his body. They kept walking in and asking for money repeatedly as I was having my last "goodbyes". The only lady I appreciated in that clinic was the nice girl that took my dog away to get him cremated. She was so gentle with him and nice to me. Today I went to get his ashes expecting a nice box with a nice paw print that I had asked for. They spelled my name wrong on all of the papers but I was fine with that. They gave me the ashes with an unbaked clay paw print that they had customized with hearts. I asked why they didnt bake it and they said so I can customize it and bake it myself but there was no room for me to even do anything on it. Not only that but Im like 99% sure that the paw print they have given me is not my dogs paw print. He was a chihuahua and the paw print is much larger than one of a chihuahua. Also after paying so much money I was expecting a pretty box but the box they gave me was a huge black plastic box much larger than the actual ashes inside. Inside the black box is a tiny brown paper bag resembling a lunch bag. I didnt pay all that money for my dog to be put in a lunch sack.

I love Animal Care Hospital. We have two cats and a dog, and theyve provided excellent care for all three. One of our cats has been boarded there a few times before we found a pet sitter and I appreciate that I can trust them to take good care of him. The dog has gone there after spending the night at the emergency vet and the difference is stark--Animal Care Hospital always makes sure to ease our fears about whatever is going on with our animals and doesnt cost an arm and a leg. They did a wonderful job doing dental work (cleaning & an extraction) and keeping him safe under anesthesia even though hes a senior dog. Weve received excellent care from both Dr. Temple and Dr. Halver, but generally request Dr. Temple because shes more familiar with our pets. Dr. Temple is a relaxed person who will answer all your questions, and shes willing to explore all the possibilities and be up front about how much things are going to cost, what procedures are necessary and what can wait until the cheaper treatment option is given a shot. One huge bonus for me is that Joyce, who is almost always the one to answer the phones and make our appointments, is incredibly competent and always puts me in a good mood. She seriously makes my day whenever we go in because she does her job well and treats everyone with such respect, and shes as good with animals as she is with people. Its a big bonus to have a great receptionist—when I think back on past vets, generally its a sour puss answering the phones. (See what I did there?)

There are two bad recent reviews. I do not believe these belong to THIS Animal Care Hospital in Lafayette, LA. I do not recognize anything they are talking about. Fees are not the same as this group of fine fine people. That said, I have been using Animal Care Hospital for 4 years now. So many animals I have brought here. Some are still with me and some have gone on to other homes. I love my critters and I have never had a problem with anyone who works here. To the contrary! Everyone is wonderful and all of them love animals. Especially Dr. Guidry. He will take a lot of time to explain everything you need to know about any issue your little 4-legger is having. He has so much empathy for critters of all sorts. And, Dr. Mike hates to see one of his patients suffer. He will do anything to help get our kiddos back up to feeling perky. This group of fine people are so dedicated. They call you to see how your little one is doing (or your big Great Dane if thats what you have). I have had 4-legged kiddos all my life and have lived all over the country and have never had this kind of care I have received for them before. Ever! One of the other Vets in Abbeville had my dog wrapped up in a towel before she would examine him. Ugh! He doesnt like Vets but he likes Dr. Guidry. My cats (4) all love it here and I have all of them groomed.

My husband and I found a dog 1 year ago tomorrow walking down the street. She was starved, malnourished, and had just had puppies somewhere. She was very clearly used to breeding and was discarded. We called the Animal Care Hospital (ACH) and they were able to get us in right away. They took wonderful care of her and talked us through how to get her healthy and active again. In the last year, she has had a few issues including 1 surgery she needed. We took her to the ACH and they took amazing care of her again. She actually loves to go to the Vet and gets extremely excited to get in the car to go. They treat her like she is one of theirs. She has been a loving and caring addition to our family and we are so grateful to have ACH as our go-to for anything our 2 dogs need. I would recommend them, and have many times. *added note* I also think it is important to mention that I called after hours and left a message. They returned my call the very next morning. Every time I have been there, they always go over pricing thoroughly to ensure I understand what the bill will be and what treatments are optional and which are necessary. I appreciate their upfront approach to billing.

Weve been going to Animal Care Hospital for at least 15 years. Dr. Bishop, Dr. Halver and Dr. Temple are full of compassion for each and every pet that comes through their door. Over the years all three doctors have seen our family of Fur-babies. We have full confidence in each one of them that they will receive the best care possible. Most people have had to deal with the loss of a pet and know how difficult it is. The people at ACH know this too and understand the pain were going through when a decision to put down a pet is the only solution. We had to do that nearly a year ago and oh my goodness, the love we felt from Dr. Temple and staff when going through that was just amazing. Look no further for the perfect place to take care of your pets. Animal Care Hospital is the very best there is. We wouldnt take our (six) cats and one funny little dog anywhere else.

If you are looking for a very reasonably priced veterinarians office for your animals.. Look no further. I LOVE everything about Animal Care hospital and Dr. Temple is one of the best vets that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. She is very knowledgeable, friendly and so caring for the animals and their owners. When i had to put my doxie down in December, I got such support from everyone at the Animal Care Hospital and a received a beautiful hand written card from Dr. Temple. I recently got a new pup and when i took him in for his first wellness visit with Dr. Temple she remembered me and what I had been through with her and my doxie. She was so supportive and absolutely loved my new puppy. No matter where in Phoenix I live as long as Dr. Temple is still practicing I will be bringing my animals in to see her.
