Unfortunately, this wasnt the right place for us. I selected OVVH over other local vets due to their great reviews and favorable hours. However, it seems I made a mistake. After our initial consultation and a bill higher than Ive ever seen from a routine office visit, I started to suspect things werent right. Checking with other vets, my suspicions were confirmed. We were upsold at every turn with medications, treatments, tests - some of which were done without telling us beforehand or explaining the purpose, price, etc. Im embarrassed as it seems I was taken advantage of for being a first-time pet parent (I had plenty of pets growing up and often took them to our neighborhood vet, but its different having one of your own). I tried to do something good by adopting a rescue, bringing her into a good, loving home, and making sure I did whatever it took to ensure she was happy and healthy. Unfortunately, that was rewarded with being taken advantage of and ultimately having to retrieve our files to go elsewhere. I have no doubts about the medical expertise of the vets at OVVH, and many of the staff members were friendly. However, that doesnt make up for how we were treated. Its unfortunate that it didnt work out for us with OVVH.

I can only say that I am truly sad to be leaving the Fairfax area which means Ill be losing the BEST VET EVER!! Our two girls, Angel and Jetta have been using OVH since 2010 and speaking for them and us: OVH is always welcoming, professional, caring, friendly to both people and dogs. The doctors likewise are concerned and knowledgeable about animals. we all feel right at home there and wouldnt think of using another vet except that we are moving. That said, we just might have to make the 2.5 hr trek back just so everyone feels taken care of. OVH is an excellent choice when it comes to veterinarian services.

Ive been going here for several years for two dogs. Weve had the pleasure of having Dr. Christmus our primary doctor and also Dr. Jackie as well (I forget her last name). Every visit has been filled with pleasure and everyone there is always so wonderful and I always feel comfortable leaving our dogs in their hands. The facilities are clean and you can order your medications online and theyre very accomodating with scheduling as well. I really love taking our little bundles of love there.

These doctors truly care about our (now 9 years old) dog. Our dog is big and gets nervous at the Vets. These doctors take their time to make him feel safe and he really respond to the doctors very well. The doctors truly care about him too. They gave us a recommendation for a clinic to remove a nasty looking tumor and have called several times to follow-up on his healing. Truly a great place for veterinary service.

Dr. Christmus and the staff are very friendly and prompt, very little waiting involved in our visits for the last 4 years. They are overpriced and they try to sell us on the lyme-disease shots every visit, but hey, its a business in Vienna. We would give them 5 stars if we could leave without spending so much.

Dr. Jackie Jones was ever so wonderful when we had to put our 21-year-old cat to sleep. Dr. Jones made this very difficult time easier for me. I highly recommend this animal hospital.

Overpriced full blood panel, nearly double the cost of other local vet clinics. Also, charged for a second visit due to a false positive on the test results.
