Star Smiles has absolutely the most unprofessional staff in this clinic. The actual dentists and hygienists were great and I was very excited that my four children and my spouse and I would be able to see the same dentist for all of our dental care needs and do so long term. However, I have waited more than 2 weeks for them to verify my employers dental benefits. After being given the runaround I finally called to let them know that I had been told multiple times that they would contact me within the next 2 days and I had not yet received any info and it had been more than two weeks. Again, the staff said they would have someone get back to me as soon as they verify my insurance. At that, I stated politely ok but I would appreciate if someone would contact me either way by 5 pm tomorrow or I will have no other choice but to look for dental services elsewhere. About 15 minutes later I get a call from the "business manager" who told me that she wouldnt tolerate customers threatening her staff and for me to take my business somewhere else, she hung up before I could even ask about this "threat". I am blown away. I knew it was unprofessional when I took my children to their appointments and saw front desk staff more focused on cutting-up/joking around and playing with their new bling bling cell phone case but I thought, well they are young and it isnt that busy so I didnt let it bother me. Looking back though perhaps I should have not been as dismissive about that red flag because now I see clearly how unprofessional they really are and it goes far beyond texting in front of customers. I dont appreciate being called a liar either. I was disappointed in their lack of service and I was honest with them about that but I was never rude, I never raised my voice or made ANY threat. I truly cant imagine that the two dentists who started this clinic would be OK to know that the staff behaved in such a manner but, who knows right? Either way I would rather find a new dentist with professional staff. It is reasonable and appropriate for a customer who has been patiently waiting for a return call to consider finding a different dentist when the current providers staff are not following through with commitments. It is that simple. Any professional would be understanding of that. I just hope that these young ladies recognize and learn from this situation so they dont run this hardworking dentists practice into the ground.

I went into this office on Friday afternoon and paid $190 to have a tooth filled. I was told then that they wanted to do a root canal but that they would do the filling in hopes that it would repair the tooth. I had zero pain at the time, I had simply lost an old filling. All weekend long I was unable to eat or even bite down without excruciating pain. I went in today and they did not even look at my mouth at all before saying that they needed to do an extraction. The dentist said that it would be an additional $30 on top of the $190 that I had paid Friday for the extraction. Then the office manager came in and said that because I did not have insurance and was a cashpay patient that they would not allow me to make any sort of payments and that I must pay $250 today and have the tooth pulled. I asked them so Im just supposed to live in pain and not eat and she told me there was nothing they could do about it because it was "office policy". I asked her why she was not willing to honor what the dentist had said and she said because the dentist did not make the prices that she did. I was very angry and aggravated and left the office and tears. I immediately went to another dentist who looked at my tooth and said that it did not need to be pulled in fact it just needed to be adjusted some because the filling that star Smiles had put in was too high and had aggravated the nerves under the tooth. She filed the filling down and put a desensitizer on my tooth saying that I was severely bruised and that it was very shotty work because the filling was very rough and unpolished at best. In fact the new dentist said that the filling that was in my tooth was not even close enough to my nerves for that to be aggravating me. The moral of the story is if youre willing to just throw away your dollars go here so that you can leave in pain, but if youd like to see a good dentist who cares about your wound well-being then go see Dr. Mitchell in Ingram. She cares about your Humanity not your wallet.

I was reluctant to use this dentist after reading several negative reviews but the issue was both cost and an early appointment, so I went. I could not have been treated better. The front office staff are smart, friendly people who know how to listen. The dental assistants who worked with me on both visits were helpful, professional and obviously knew their job. And the two woman dentists who I saw were among the best I have ever had - especially Dr. Amsili. She was friendly, very thorough, did the job right, and when I came back for some follow-up help she didnt charge me just to write a prescription. Any other dentist I have ever known would have used that visit as an excuse to bill me. I am sorry that other reviewers have had issues here - my guess is that maybe they had an attitude problem themselves, because I would recommend this office and every one of the staff to anyone without hesitation. There are a lot of high-priced dentists in Kerrville, but dont let the shopping center storefront scare you away - their equipment is modern, they know exactly what they can and cant do, and will refer you if the work needs to be done by a specialist, but for general dentistry care you will not find better or more affordable dental treatment in this town.

Guys, there a new dentist at Star Smiles. I am one person who is terrified of the Dentist, Dr. Osifo was very patient with me despite all my tantrums. I had severe toothache and needed to have my tooth pulled. I had put off treating this tooth much earlier because I had a bad experience at a previous dentist. If only there were more Dentists like Dr. Osifo I would have fixed my tooth much earlier.  Long story short, she is amazing, she ensured I got comfortable and painless treatment.  I highly recommend Dr. Osifo at Star smiles. I hope she stays long time. Ask for her when u go there. Laura K.

I have to tell you that I dont know anything about giving a negative review to this practice. Starting with the girls up front, they are very nice and seem like they really care about the patients, the girls in the back that help the dentists are awesome and definitely make sure you are comfortable, and the dentist, Dr. Osifo, is wonderful. she truly cares and I can honestly say has a great sense of pride in taking care of her patients. 5 STARS all the way !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The place is very hygenic and kids friendly. Easy to locate the clinic. Doctor Sangeeta was very professional and knows what she is doing. I got my cleaning done with no time and efficiently .Infrastructure is very much upgraded to todays standrad which adds further glory to the clinic.Its a must visit for Kids .My recent visit to the place was very nice and would strongly recommend people to try once for any dental needs (Y)
