I have been to this office 5 times. I originally went here due to a family member having work done and it was done well. I originally went to have two wisdom teeth removed and Dr. Verhoff did a great job. I didnt appreciate the dental hygienist telling me I lived in the ghetto, though. Other than that it was fine. The second visit was to get a couple small cavities filled and Dr. Verhoff did the drilling and let the dental hygienist fill them. One of the filings wasnt done correctly and I went back twice and had the other two dentists in the office try to fix it, but it still hurts today (it has been 2 years to date). If you like an office that books too many people at one time because they have the space for it go ahead and go here. If you dont want the dentist to do your fillings come here. After the two other dentists in the office saw me they said to "wait it out and maybe it will fix itself". It has been two years and it still hurts. Im probably going to have another dentist drill out this filling and re do it, if thats even possible, since Verhoff Dental didnt want to do it. Never returning again and HIGHLY recommending everyone to AVOID this office. My girlfriend had better service and work done at a corporate chain dental office near Easton. At least their dentist had the time and did the filling and repaired one of her old fillings as well. Also, when I went back the second time for them to attempt to fix it, they took an xray of the one tooth and charged it to my insurance. I didnt have to pay out of pocket, but that is still really bogus. You mess something up and charge for the picture to see what you did wrong? I miss my dentist in Sandusky, OH.

I have been coming to Verhoff (now Herrick) Dental for over 11 years. Throughout that time, I have always had a great experience with each visit. My hygienist (Barb) who does my cleanings is absolutely fantastic. The entire office staff is very friendly and personable and they take the time to learn the names of their patients providing for a very individualized experience where you feel that you are more than just “another patient” to them. I used to see Dr. Verhoff for years; however, when he retired, the transition to Dr. Hoffner went very well. Both Dr. Hoffner and Dr. Herrick are wonderful dentists. The practice has state of the art technology and they use innovative dental practices. Most dentists require multiple appointments to get a crown since they typically have to send the mold to another company to create the crown. At Herrick Dental, they have a top of the line machine that creates the crown in-house. They are able to create the crown and insert it the same day, eliminating the need for multiple appointments. This is not only a money saver but also a time saver. I recommend this practice not just to friends but also to my family.

I have been a client with Herrick Dental now for several years. When I first started coming here, it was on a whim to try to find a new dentist. We all know the struggles of finding one that we feel will listen to your problems. Well this place did. I have been fighting to keep my teeth, as it seemed not matter how much I brushed or flossed, I was still having issues. Dr. Verhoff stepped in and helped me a lot. I now have stronger teeth. I even was able to get Invisalign with this company when other Dentists told me I was not a candidate. The front desk and Dental Hygienist are so friendly and warm. I have never once had a bad experience in all the visits I have had here (which is quite a lot!). The dentist were there for me on Thanksgiving when I had a terrible abscess, they gave me advise on how to easy my pain and ensured I was taken care. Even offered to see me on the holiday, but I told him I would wait till the next day. Highly recommend them! Friendly, efficient, and willing to work with you.

On my last visit, the hygienist insisted I get x-rays. I said no she said it was time and pushed them on me. Two days later I get a bill for $84 because my insurance only pays for x-rays every two years. Something the office staff should have known and discussed with me before pushing the x-rays on me. The girls are rude to me and my children, the hygienist Barb who cleaned my 3 year olds teeth was rude and disrespectful to her. I would never recommend this office and am actively looking for a new dentist with some manners and good business practices.

I am very happy with my three visits to Verhoff/Herrick Dental. My family has had cleanings, fillings, crown work and Invisalign.I have recently moved to Columbus and checked out other practices. I loved the central location and the quality of care that my family receives from this office. Myself and my two teens love the friendly staff and the wonderful dentists, Dr. Herrick and Dr. Hoffner. The office is clean and very modern and they are very accommodating to my familys busy schedule. I highly recommend this practice!

Just had my last appointment. I am looking for a new dentist. Unsatisfied and unimpressed with dental care and customer care. I started going to this dentist five years ago because a friend recommended it. Since Dr. Verhoff retired and the practice changed hands it has quickly deteriorated. There are too many dental options in the Columbus area to waste my time going to a place that I dread and feel like just another patient they try to move through the door as quickly as possible.

The staff is always friendly and helpful, even if you are late to your appointment. The time spent in the waiting room is usually no more than 3 minutes. The technician (Lisa) was friendly, courteous and most importantly, competent with her tasks. They keep detailed history of your issues, comments and concerns. The wait for the dentist to complete the exam was on time and efficient. It was also very easy to schedule my next cleaning and exam. Another great visit!

The doctors and staff are very professional but also personable, they show they care and it makes going to the dentist a pleasant one. I always have a pleasant experience in the lobby and in the dentists chair. Whenever I am in the lobby waiting, it is only for no more than 10 minutes. No matter who it is taking care of my teeth at time of appointment, all the members of staff are very friendly and apt to engage in friendly conversation. I would recommend this dental office to any family or person.
