I used to LOVE this place when the old Dentist used to work here. She was absolutely amazing. Now there is one Dentist that I cannot understand when she talks. My children went in for cleanings and she did not speak to me on how they are doing, or if they had any cavities. I found out from my children and the staff behind the counter. This is horrible customer service, and not professional at all. I had to ask the lady at the counter about my Daughters exams. The Dentist was sitting there at the end of the counter, and I felt like she didnt care to answer the questions I had. When she did speak; I could not hear her from over the counter. I told the front desk that "I cant hear her." The dentist then got up off the chair and came over to tell me that my Daughter needs to go to the Orthodontist. I have seen her three other times with my children, and feel that is her answer to everything. The other dentist before her was wonderful when answering questions and providing service that was efficient, and showed concern. Apparently she moved to another state. This bums me out because she was the BEST. I waited over an hour before my children were seen. (This normally does not happen.) I will say that the staff behind the counter are very nice, and welcoming. Great Expressions should look into getting another Dentist in this office.

If I could rate this place at -5 I would. All of the staff that I came in contact with aside from the dentist I dealt with, were the kindest nicest most helpful people. But the lady dentist, has no idea what shes doing, if you need to get a wisdom tooth pulled I would highly recommend to never go here, she will argue with you if shes messing something up and you say something to her, she busted the tooth above my wisdom tooth with the tools at least five times and then told me it was no big deal, she has the worst unprofessional attitude, it took her over an hour to pull the tooth, the most unprofessional dentist I have ever come across. And Ive dealt with some crappy dentist before, but she definitely takes the cake.... And when I called to talk to the office manager about it, after explaining what happened her response was, "Im sorry that your experience was less than stellar", and then proceeded to make up a conversation she thought she heard between the dentist and I, that the dentist offered me gas because it was so painful, which never happened and when I said no that conversation did not happen it was well Sarah thats what I heard ... Very unaccountable person.

Hi my name is Jennifer. I visited the location at 16555 E 10 Mile Rd Eastpointe Mi. I went in for a cleaning however after x rays the Dentist Asst insisted that I scheduled for a $1700 Deep cleaning! Now I dont know about anyone else but I thought it was my choice as a customer as to what I want to have done to "MY" teeth! I understand we are all in the business to make money ...however you cant just mandate a person to pay for services that they dont want or havent requested ! I think this should be Investigated, because they are ripping customers and the Insurance companies off! I will not go back and unfortunately I can not take my son for cleaning either out of fear that they will attempt to do the same to him! It is open enrollment for Insurance therefore Im going to change my Dental office to an office that are there for the customers not just their financial gains! Unfortunately I had to select a star for rating in order to get to this page! Well that star may go to the staff because they were very polite! Sincerely, Jennifer Curtis

I dont know where to begin because I have sooooooooo much to say about Great Expressions and all of the wonderful people that it has been my honor to know. I remember when it was called American Dental and when Nina was manager and I used to bring Christmas cannolis and cookies and baked goods to them. When it comes to teeth cleaning, which I just had done, it always is such a joy for me to have Sephanie and Michelle aboard. My last cleaning was with Stephanie and I always make her laugh and we have so much in common and I truly feel like she is family. She is very devoted to her job and takes pride and the time to explain everything to me. She always makes me feel very comfortable and then, when finished, Dr Kthar comes in and she is such a delight, too. I have shared many memories at this facility and I would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone. I know there is a new staff now, but, I hope to get to know them just as well. Thank you for everything and, KEEP ON SMILIN.

My son had to have dental care, all of the charges and procedures were not explained in full detail. This is very disappointing. My son had to have a root canal, this cost was explained to me. Nonetheless, the procedure in its entirety was not explained. I should have been informed that the root canal would entail, the root canal, the core buildup, and the crown. The entire procedure totals approxiamately, $630.00, I was expecting a total of $200.00. Very poor communication, and very poor consideration for the client. Had all of this been explained in detail, I would have had time after the root canal to get the total expenses together. Now the root canal and core build up has been performed and I only have 30 days to come up with $400+. This not good and I am very dissatisfied.

I have been going to Eastpointe GEDC for many years and there is a good reason for it. There is so much anxiety with going to a dentist appointment, but Michelle and Dr. Kthar make the visit pleasant each and every time. There is a sense of family and care when I visit. The front office staff (both past and present) is friendly and accommodating. I definitely look forward to my visits and would recommend anyone to stop by. I recently moved further North and there is a Great Expressions within one mile but I travel to Eastpointe because Michelle takes great care when cleaning. I feel as if she is an extended part of my family and vice versa. The assistants and other hygienists are awesome too! Trust me....you wont be disappointed!

My 4 yr old daughter had such a positive experience during her very first cleaning I had to share. She saw on an episode of Dora that she had went to the dentist, so my daughter asked me to set her an appointment. She was seen by my regular hygienist, Michelle, who did a fabulous job (as always). She introduced my daughter to her two friends "Mr. Thirsty", which sucked the saliva out, and "Mr. Tickle" who cleaned her teeth. She was patient, sweet, and made the experience very enjoyable for both of us. My daughter spent the rest of the weekend telling everyone about her new "friends" she met at the dentists office. With an experience that can be very scary for little kids, Im glad I brought my child to a GEDC office.
