My girls went in for routine teeth check up/exams and the staff was incredible! Mel was my oldest daughters (shes six) examiner and hygienist and even though my daughter got nervous, Mel did an outstanding job at making her feel confortable and calmed her right down.. Mel is so amazing and friendly and my daughter loves her and now loves going to the dentist. Im not sure of the name of the lady my other daughter had (she is 4) because my fiancé went in with my other daughter but she was also very wonderful and made her feel comfortable and okay with going to the dentist! The female dentist who came in at the end was so nice and friendly! We were incredibly happy with our visit at winnisquam dental and recommend it to anyone and everyone who needs a new dentist! My two year old son will be going in next week for his visit and I am confident that it will also be an amazing one!

If youre looking for a family-friendly dentist office with all of the latest technology (text appointment reminders) and warm, welcoming staff, youve found your new dentist! We switched over to Winnisquam dental approximately 5 years ago when my then preschooler was terrified of the dentist. Kristine (aka Dr. Kris) put all of my daughters fears at rest by explaining every tool and procedure in kid friendly language. She even performed several cleanings (usually done by the hygienist) until my daughter had the confidence to someone else near her mouth. Whats best is not only does my daughter go there, but so do her parents and even grandparents! We like Dr. Derek Blackwelder also! Hes kind and honest, two important qualities. I highly recommend Winnisquam Dental to anyone!

I have had to have two teeth capped in the past by an excellent dental group near Seattle WA. They had the latest technology - I thought - and the process was grueling and in one case fell out and took a couple days to complete. Winnisquam dental TOTALLY IMPRESSED me with the latest in computer 3D picture graphing of my cap and tooth, and CAD/CAM tooling, creating the new cap in 20 min. The entire procedure was only a couple hours and far surpassed the West Coasts dental group. (But, that group did have TVs hanging over the dental chairs and you see your X-rays, or could watchd ESPN or other shows during the procedure. Of course you needed it because they took 2x as long, making clay molds, and a return trip.)

I love bringing my three children to Dr. Kris at Winnisquam Dental. The first time we went there Dr. Kris explained to me that she would clean my sons teeth in a minimal way initially, since he was so nervous to be there. She said it was more important that he not fear going to the dentist and that with each visit he would get more comfortable. I am still amazed, two years later, that he is willing to walk right in and climb right up on that chair when he sees Dr. Kris. Her passion for teeth and her patience in winning our trust has already made all the difference in our dental care.

We can not say enough about the staff at Winnisquam Dental! We have been seeing them as a family since 2007, and have always been very happy with every aspect of each visit. The staff is wonderful, from the friendly faces at the front desk, to the caring and skilled hygienists, to the compassionate and highly trained Dr. Blackwelders. Our children have no "dental anxiety", and in the rare dental emergency, the office has been there for immediate and complete care. I would highly recommended Dr Blackwelder and Dr Blackwelder to anyone who is searching for a great family dentist.

Friendly, personable staff. I like being able to go to the same place for the whole family. Very positive experience. I would definitely recommend them, very knowledgeable, even got my son to really listen and pay attention to the foods and drinks he chooses for sports, hes still drinking Gatorade but is more conscious about drinking water in between, he stays right away from energy drinks and is now drinking less soda....one visit. I cant even say how impressed I am even with a simple conversation...thanks!

I have been visiting here for two years now ... I am pleased with the entire staff, they are friendly and put you at ease if you need a procedure. I recently fell and hit my front teeth hard almost going through lip...I was concerned that I cracked the tooth hence I made phone call, they got me in the next day early, took x-rays and put me at ease..This meant a lot to me to get in readily without hesitation ... I appreciate their caring office..you will not be disappointed you switched...

My husband & I have been going to Winnisquam Dental since forever. We are greated by Mike, and Jolene our dental hygienist is so gentle and sweet & thorough. Dr Derek is soft spoken and caring. The experience is so great that our visits are always enjoyable. Bet you havent ever heard anyone say going to the dentist was enjoyable! We cant imaging going to any other people to have our teeth, mouths * consequently our health taken care of.

Thanks to a cancellation, I was able to get in not only the same day, but within an hour from the time I called for an appointment. Amazing since I had never been seen at this practice before. The office staff pulled it off with my insurance company that fast, my hygienist was the best Ive ever experienced, and Dr. Blackwelder was thorough, professional and pleasant. Pleasant, friendly, competent staff all around, from the time you arrive to the time you leave. Winnisquam Dental does not try to up sell whitenings, cosmetic work, etc as many or most dental practices seem to do today. I appreciate their professionalism. Pretty place, too, with several of the rooms overlooking wetlands and gardens. I highly recommend this practice to friends and family.

Been taking my son there for a while now and he loves it...he had a small procedure done there not too long ago and she was Amazing with stating everything she was going to do slowly and clearly right down to how it was going to feel to him which help his anxiety tremendously...Keep up the good work Winnisquam Dental we love your work! Had an appointment for a cleaning. Kate was on time, friendly, and professional. She did a great job getting my tears clean. Dr. Blackwelder came in and looked at my teeth and made a couple of suggestions. Very good appointment. I have been going to them for years and have not had a bad experience with them in all that time. I highly recommend them to adults and children.
