TERRIBLE Experience. I recently switched insurance companies and my new insurance was not accepted by many nearby. Aspen Dental was one of the few local to me (Fitchburg) places I could go. I had tooth pain on the upper left side of my mouth. So much so that it was hard to sleep and go to work each day. I called on a Tuesday to make an appointment, and the earliest I could be seen was the following Monday which was disappointing. However, I waited and took as much over the counter medicine as I could to make it to my appointment date/time. When Friday hit I was still in bad pain, so I called again asking if there was any appointments or a way to be seen. I was told, they were booked up. I asked they call me if they had a cancelation as I was nervous of another weekend ahead of me with the pain. Unfortunately, I couldnt be seen earlier. When arriving on Monday, I was greeted by a nice receptionist and then ushered in for full xrays which I guess is the protocol I was told. The assistant who did the xrays was fantastic. She rushed in and out and you could hear her sense of urgency, so I did not have to have the bitewing items in my mouth for an extended period of time. After my xrays I was escorted to an exam room. In the room I was greeted next by a hygienist who was to look at my mouth and measure the pockets for the computer, again, I was told this was protocol. When done, she explained it was bad news and I needed deep scaling treatments and likely it would need to be over the course of a year and not much would be covered by insurance. I was also pitched a screening product for cancer which I wasnt told I needed but it was a good to do thing I was told. Finally I was told the doctor would be right with me. When he came in he asked how I was. I explained I was having pain for more than a week on my upper left side and it was intense and I had been taking an antibiotic in hopes if this was an infection it may go away and Im taking advil almost every 4 hours for over a week so my stomach is upset now also. He said "OK". Let me take a look. I expected him to look in my mouth, instead he went to the xrays. He responded by telling me that the issue is my wisdom teeth are impacted and causing the pain Im getting and I need to get them taken out. He said, dont worry, they can knock you out but I need to caution you we only have one guy who comes here and only once a month and I think his next appointment is in May (it is april 4th now). I said OK. Then there was silence. I said to the doctor "would you mind looking inside as I feel like maybe a filling may have fallen out or something else". He obliged after I asked, and noted he wasnt sure, but he did see a previous crown on the other side of my mouth had a crack in it so he would add that to his notes. He said, he would wrap up and get this information to lacey who would take care of me. Sensing he was leaving the room, I asked "how should I care for the pain?" He responded that I can take up to 4 advils at a time and he would write me something for the nighttime. Next he left the room, a different assistant took my bib off and asked me to proceed up front (I guess Im done I thought??). Well the front is where they sit you down and share with you everything they find and what it costs. So as I sit down I see the doctor walk by one more time and say, I left you some prescriptions Motrin, Narco for at night, and an antibiotic just in case.... Holy crap! 1. I told him I was already on an antibiotic (should I take two at once??) 2. Narco is like codeine which is something I noted on my chart I had allergies too (clearly they didnt look) After shaking my head and grabbing the prescriptions, I was told the cost with and without insurance. Then the kicker....The next appointment for what they guess is the cause of my pain. 5/23. 49 days away. Seriously!! The End: Found another dentist 3 days later, found out it was a cavity, fixed same day, no cost with my insurance.

We were visiting family in Sterling, MA and my son re-broke his front adult tooth. We were obviously not able to make a quick trip back to NC to see his regular dentist. I googled emergency care dental facilities and clicked on Aspen because it was so close to where my in-laws live. They scheduled us a next day appt and got us right in. When I called the man on the phone was very kind and understanding and assured me that they would know that a 9 year old was coming in with a broken tooth. There was some things lost in translation but we quickly got on the right track and they took care of our needs and were so kind. My son said that it was just like his dentist back home and that is a compliment in it self. Thank you for letting me go back and hold my sons hand during his numbing. Allowing me to watch the procedure as well. You all made the experience of visiting a new dentist very pleasurable. I hope to never need you again but just in case Im glad we can have you on stand by.

Outstanding doctors and a great staff! I have had extensive dental work, extractions, root canals, scaling, and fillings. I have seen many different dentists and none of them seemed to have the skill of Dr. V. The other dentists I saw in the past would not extract my teeth they would instantly say oral surgeon but Dr. V. had no problem. Ive never had a more polite and competent dentist in my life! Even the assistants are top notch, Ive had many teeth x-rays over the past years but never has anyone placed cotton in the areas where I had teeth removed just for my comfort. The secretarial staff are awesome, always smiling, fun, and just about everyone in the office will say hi and ask how you are doing and use your name when asking. Small touches like those are few and far between in the world and just add to the comfortability you will get at this office.

I have watched the commercials on TV with Danica Patrick. I am a Danica fan so I figured why not give Aspen Dental a shot. Aspen Dental in Leominster ran like clockwork from check-in to check-out. Everyone was professional and personable. When you first go to Aspen Dental you have x-rays taken and then a thorough exam. After the exam you and the Doctor come up with a game plan for your dental health. The next step is to have a cleaning. Fortunately for me there was an opening after my initial exam so I had the cleaning completed as well. When checking out you go over payment plans and estimates for any upcoming appts. I had to go in the next day for a cavity removal. The cavity removal and the filling were painless and quick. I know allot of people are afraid of the Dentist... after this experience I cant wait to go back!
