was belittled by the doctor. dont tell me my dog its not trained then comment on how great he is behaving, thats contradictory. Just because he doesnt know how to lay down on command? I dont need him to do that, so why should I train him to? And dont tell me how to live my life and what to do with my dog, I dont want you insisting that I get renters insurance, if I ask for your advice then you give it period. 73 dollars for tic removal and frontline? Really? You just take the liberty of putting more on him, when I only asked if the over the counter stuff works or not. Over priced and condescending. Bad move on their part, especially since I told them that I was just trying them out. Guess what, you fail not switching over.

I just got home from the vet- The Dr. was very nice! I liked him personably more than the previous vets Ive brought my cat into. Better yet, I think he figured out what was wrong with my cat when the previous two vets Ive been bringing him to, since when my cat started having problems over a year ago never saw it and told me my cat needed anti depressants, when he probably has a thorn in his leg. The prices seemed fair but I dont know much about what is a fair price- the exam was $53 and the x ray for his limp was $174. Not cheap but cheaper than my previous vet.

Everyone from Mayfair, the receptionist to the doctors are friendly, courteous and concerned. I have had emergency services and walked in with other urgent issues and was seen and cared for with the urgency and detail the situation needed. Never an attitude, even when they are busy and didnt expect me. They followed up with phone calls to check in and in one case called me throughout the week to support and guide my pets recovery. I have owned pets for 40 years and have been to different clinics, this is the overall best one I have worked with.

I took my dog there because she was very sick. They ran some tests and sent me home with some canned dog food. Over $500.00 dollars later (2 visits) my puppy was not getting better. They suggested another test (another outragous amount) . I took her elsewhere and she was given an antibiotic and is doing great! BOTTOM LINE "YOU DONT ALWAYS GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR" . This place is HORRIBLE as far treating a serious problem and they are way over priced.

I love everyone here! My family and I have been bringing our pets here since......forever! Dr F Dr was so sweet. He loved animals so much. It was truly like being with family! Their prices are fair! The place is spotless! As soon as you walk in you feel the love, joy, caring and compassion! You even get a Christmas card/ calendar....in the mail!!!!! ....Dave and Chris Bachi.

My mother started coming to this vet back in the 70s when she was a teenager and had gotten her first dog...40+ years later and we still drive down to Chicago from the northern suburbs to see Dr. Mike and his amazing staff. Everyone is always so welcoming and friendly. These guys do what they do because they so clearly love animals! I wouldnt trust anyone else with my pups!

I am surprised by the negative reviews for this vet... I have found them to be incredibly caring, my dog loves everyone there, and have great hours. After my dog was treated for a bite she got on a walk, they called me and checked up on her. As for the payments, well, it is a vet, which is typically not something that is a layaway program... and I suggest pet insurance.

Ive been bringing my dogs here for 17 years. This people are awsome the staff treats my dogs like family they are super nice. They never forget their names and take good care of them, Dr. Mike is the best Dr. Ever.i wouldnt change veterinarian for nothing in the world Mayfair is my second family and my dogs are happy.

My dog Kobi just had surgery to remove a huge lipoma. Dr Mike did an amazing job. Even took a papule off the lower eyelid of my dog while he was under anesthesia for no extra charge. My dog had an amazing recovery and was walking around the next day like nothing had happened. Prices are reasonable.

Dr. Wlodek is AMAZING! She doesnt only treat your pet, she learns, gets to know, and builds a relationship with and about you and your pet. She sees both my dogs and am always thankful for her. The staff is great and always greet with a smile! My questions are always answered. FANTASTIC!

I needed a new vet for my dog after moving, and this place is walking distance, so it won. But, Im a fan. Very friendly staff who truly seem to care about the pooch. Reasonable prices (I think his annual + vaccinations was around $250). They also offer boarding services.

These folks are over the top when it comes to animal care and down to earth with prices. They took very good care of me and my cat as he went through surgery. Hopefully we wont need to visit often but when we do, well always come here! Thank you!!

They were afraid of my dog simply because he is a pit bull. The lady seemed scared to get near him and basically just poked him really fast. And they are expensive compared to other veterinarians I have been to.
