One cold, sunny, morning, last winter, my partner; aka, wife, drove our two, (neutered) male cats--a Siamese/Rag-Doll Rescue aged 8, & a 9-y.o., pure-bred, Siberian Forest Cat--to Fox Veternary Hsp. Partly this was because Dr.Fox is now just ¾-mile from us, but also because we liked her when she was part of an earlier vet practice--2 decades, 2 cats, 1 suburb & century ago. On return, my wife reported, doc & staff to be low key, high skill professionals, meticulous & kind to both humans & cats, allaying concern re our high octave, high octane Siberian--once described by an emergency vet as, fractious!". An hour later, when I wondered aloud why the cats were still complaining, she explained that since they never got out except to a vet, it couldnt be helped, & that the only other right thing the doc couldve done & didnt, was to comp us for her more than capable care. Fat, hissy chance of that--not to mention, undeserved--but that; otherwise, such a furry-tale aside--a perfect five!

I saw Dr. Lemka today with my very sick cat who is 19-20 years old. She was a breath of fresh air. I loved her because she did not want to do things that were not necessary at his age. I really like that because it kept the cost down for me. This meant a lot because I have been struggling and going thru hard times lately. I wish more Vets were like her. It is really great when you try to consider where the person is financially before you go ahead with a lot of tests that can cost a fortune. I would like to thank her for all her help today. We recently relocated to the Evanston area and were in need of finding a new vet for our two cats. We chose Fox Animal Hospital due to multiple area residents recommendations. To date, we have brought both of our cats to Fox and have been more than pleased with the customer service, care, appointment availability, prompt communication, vet & tech knowledge base, and overall genuine compassion shown to our animals. I like Dr Fox, he seems like a good guy and a good vet. But one of the vets that he has working for him, tried to get me to admit my cat for a UTI. My cat gets UTI once a year for the past 7 years. The cat does the same thing every time. I told her (the vet) It was a UIT. They wanted thousands of dollars, to do "diagnostics" I paid the $350 for the one hour visit, then took my cat to another vet. He fixed the cat for $75 total. Im not going back to Fox over charge animal money maker hospital.

We were so pleased with our recent visit to Fox Animal Hospital for our new pet! We recently adopted a cat from Chicago Animal Control and were told to follow-up within 2 weeks to a vet. We were so happy we chose Fox Animal Hospital! Everyone was so nice during our visit, and the vet spent a lot of time going over everything from his old medical records to how to keep him active/healthy for a long life! We will definitely be using them for all of our pet needs in the future!

We have been happy with this practice from the start. hey were very compassionate when we had to put down our very sick, very elderly cat. They were very compassionate with us, and didnt question our decision. We rescue and foster animals, and have changed to this practice because of their demeanor, care, and cost.
